Killer vid! Your playing and tone are always great, but your interview videos are consistently next level. Question, at 30:03 is that the new Ge fuzz/original Ge or the warmer Si you had mentioned? If I had to chase a fuzz tone, I think that might be the one... Cheers, Nik!
I’ve been influenced by/Chasing Jimi, Stevie, DBII (especially Doyle), and have been collecting Fuzz pedals. It is a subtle thing, but when it’s “right”, it’s tangible. Good Fuzz pedal can give you the right color, a great one changes how you play…in a good way. I was able to work with a small builder out of Ireland (Ian Chestnut - Spectre Electronics) who made me an amazing Zonk pedal. Not an always on thing, but the “feel” is unreal! So much fun to solo with. I have other pedals that can get 90% of the same kind of tone, but it’s that last 10% where it’s voodoo happens. I love Fuzz face, but haven’t found my pedal(s) yet? Currently using a Ge Sunface that’s close? The hard part with Fuzzface is that sometimes it’s not the pedal that puts you over the finish line?
Wow absolutely epic Fuzz tones Nik. But I just wanna say the playing at the start of this video was really great. It sounds like you've be getting some practice in mate. It's funny though how a great tone can push your playing up a notch or two how you just connect with that sound as a player and go with it or it takes you further some how. Great video all round Nik fuzz tone/pedals are such a simple circuit but complex at the same time.
Are Tone Benders too aggressive for you? I've got 2 Sola Sound pedals and they're the best fuzz ever for rock but they are definitely heavier than what I think of coming from a Fuzz Face.
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 Have you tried the Pedal Pawn Gypsy Vibe? Josh Scott said it was the best Vibe of 2021 and possibly will be the best vibe ever.
Excuse my ignorance, but isn't this what Mike Fuller has been doing for years? I thought that he was the recognized king of re-making all of the Hendrix type effects with the '69, '70 and the DejaVibes and so on. Am I wrong?
Well, What values are needed? If the builder says it will work for what your looking for, you either trust them or find another one. Also, what they are using in their stuff may be unique to their product
Aaron is the man! I honestly don't know anyone who does it like him. LEGEND!
Now that's what I call feedback, the interaction between the customer and developer!
I just managed to snag one of the seven Nik signatures from Aaron. I'm stoked, man!
Thank you!
Beautiful tone Nik. Much love from New Mexico hope all is well.
I can vouch for this. I have 2 and another on the way. Great stuff guys!
This tipped me over the edge of ordering one! Everyone that has one seems to dig what Aaron is doing! Can't wait to be able to use it 🤟..
You will enjoy it my
Friend!
Aaron's doing all the right work, every one is better than the last!!
great video, I'd love to have a fuzz like that. Thanks for sharing
Dear lord, this sounds so good!

yes we have a similar story using lo gain Sunface and like it but still searching

great discussion guys! I do a Jimi tribute down here in Asheville NC ( ImiJ of Soul ) and fuzz is an all consuming subject!
killer tones, playing and info!!
Dominion really sounds killer, I will order one soon! I also have the haze67. Have you tried a Dustin Frances Ivor one?
Yes. Ive tried em all!
sm fuzz didnt work for me thought it would so hard
Man I like that sound PLAY ON BRO. PEACE.
Hi there! Video idea: How to dial in a super reverb to get an SRV tone (in my case: the montreux 82' sound). I would love to see that video!
Aaron is a great builder, and his dialogue translates into great sounding pedals. He just gets it. Plus, they are beautifully finished!
Heck yes!!!
Wow,,, 👍👍

I like the early zonk stuff. I had an original not too long ago

@@SimpleManGuitars1973 i just use my old one
how do i get one of these ?
where can I find this guy/ this pedal? Thank you.
Right in the description!

All i can say is, the real tone heads...see what they are using. See how much of their gear is off the shelf.
Fuller was the first guy that explained that in a germanium Fuzz Face is you want a low gain into a higher gain transistor.
Buy a Fuzz Fella 2.0 and be in Fuzz Nirvana. IMO
All great but they never tell values or other essential things, it‘s always hiding things and no talk about the important stuff!

This is not a good demonstration. You shouldn't turn on the delay. You know what I mean, even cheap fuzz pedals will become better😃
Delay was only in the intro
I think Nik knows what he’s doing… Outstanding fuzz tones and chops.
