There was something special about Girls Aloud, wasn't there? Magic that doesn't come around all the time.
@@emma-ik5xc Whomever comes along after them as a Girlband will have some major shoes to fill. Looking back I don't think that The Judges or even the other Kids on Popstars: The Rivals knew who they were dealing with. Their chemistry was spot on much better than Eden's Crush (US). Also they were smart because they stayed with Xenomania who gave them practically every hit record that they had.
One could write a PhD on why they succeeded. A few things to consider:
@Kimberley stepping in to be de facto manager/mum when Louis decided he didn't want to actually manage them
@Nadine's world-class vocals from day 1, the other girls having to learn their craft
@3 of them (C, Nic, K) starting off able to dance proficiently
@there being a gap in the market, no Spice Girls to crowd them out
@luck in terms of how they aged: they went from mere pretty girls aged 16-20 to beautiful ladies at, say, 20-24

Brilliant Analysis Also, what I loved about them is that they were able to show that a Girlband from the "Popstars" Franchise could be "successful". Many of them were Flash In The Pans. Eden's Crush (US) and I sometimes wonder if Maile Misajon (prounounced Mylee Misahon) ever fully got over the fact that they didn't make it. They flopped because when they did their Debut Album, they had too many Producers working with them, also when The others found out Nicole Scherzinger was going to get the Lead on their Debut Single "Get Over Yourself" they were very upset. Someone should have said to them, "This Single Will Make Or Break You!" we know what we're doing. I loved Nadine because although she was the Weakest Dancer she was determined to do well like Marlon Jackson in The Jackson Five. They were very smart about Business, at Motown it was "Leave It Up To Me" and many of them came out of their celebrity penniless. Cheryl was like The Diana Ross of The Group, grew up in a Council House/Low Income Housing Project, where Diana Ross Bussed Tables at A Detroit Department Store Cafeteria, Cheryl worked at a Cafe, Pete Waterman and Louis Walsh know she's a Diamond In The Rough like Berry Gordy did with Diana Ross. They had Xenomania and stayed with them the whole time, when The Supremes lost Holland/Dozier/Holland their popularity flopped as well as Florence Ballard's being Fired.
@@stevechristie2569 Also Kimberley did them "right" with the Finances. Did you ever hear about what Aaron Carter's Manager Jason did to him. He needed Financial Expert Victor Antonio and a Forensic Account to show him that Money was being taken out of his account and he didn't know. It was Jason and he acted all innocent but he was guilty as sin and when he got "Fired" he didn't know why but Aaron forgave him and took him back.
One thing i do like Out of Control for is that finally Kimberley and Nicola have major lead vocals. i love the different textures in their voices--they complement the others.
I can't accept/acknowledge that Sarah Harding is no longer here, I thought I would stop playing their music, but can't help it. I am still so sad /stunned /and broken. But need to hear her voice. Derek x. 💔.
The magic is that they actually love what they do. They worked hard and always aspire to be better for their audience. You can hear the uniqueness of each voice and you can see each personality that add depth to their performances.

Yes, Sarah Harding looked beautiful, and fabulous, and at the top her game. What a a true star. I miss, and think of her so much. RIP. Sarah. I have never seen so much dignity,in such a a dark hour. (🌹🌹🌹).

2022 is almost gone and I'm still watching Girls Aloud. Love this performance. They are fabulous.
Sarah Harding:Rest in eternal peace, and rightfully share your gifts with the angels,as you are now one of their new flock. It's taken me 2 weeks to play this video, (one of my favourites),. It's so hard to play a girls aloud song, but we must be assured, it's what Sarah would have wanted.

Another good vocal by Nicola. And again Nadine doing her best to sing over the others. Sarah has a good voice as does Kimberly and Cheryl but for me Nicola is the best in vocals and dance. She's so so pretty just love her.
They nailed this performance! Vocals were on point the whole time!
Kimberley´s part is heaven... This performance is so elegant, so simple yet so awesome... It reminds me of this British classic dances of like Jane Austen time...
Pause at 3:27 Cheryl looks so pretty there.

It’s 2021 and I must have watch this video hundred times. This was a beautiful performance - their voices just works so well together. You can hear each distinct voice when they are all harmonizing.

This was a mesmerising performance, their voices worked, and connected so well. They should be proud, as it must be difficult being in a group /band with multiple vocal ranges /abilities, and to make it come together as one piece. Love it. Xxx
It's too soon, but if Girls Aloud do reunite, I think it should be a one off benefit concert. And it would be so fitting for family, and friends to attend, and money raised to go to relevant charities /causes. Our thoughts will always be with Sarah Hardings family, and friends, and band mates. Derek.

Kimberley's movement was sensational in the performance.
Yes, it's much better hearing Nicola and Kimbers sing more. B4 Nicola was virtually ignored and Kim was there to pout and flutter her eyelashes in the videos with an occasional lyric if she was lucky. Nicola is a really talented singer, thar shows even in the Popstars live auditions! Her live performances really showcase her strong but emotive voice. Yet Pete Waterhouse was all about looks, you cud tell, and he vid the bring himself to compliment her voice even after she cot a standing ovation from the crowd. The management were very lucky Nicola was so young and too shy to complain that she was pushed to one side so early on. Kimberly blossomed so much, she is so toned here! Always tanned with naturally perfect hair and skin again Kimbers didn't make the original top ten. For the first few songs she gets a few lyrics and a bit of camera time just to look sultry 💋 (this is especially true in Jump is but it's also so funny and nostslgic) By the time their last album came around they were all sharing he lyrics, Nadine still had more but nowhere nea
Axkdgs much 😊👍 That waàs then the group really shone. It was getting a bit dull having Nadine sing all the time and then other girls had so much to offer!! This performance just shows now much......Cheryl is on fire!

Nadine made this song with all her amazing melodies
I didn't notice her at all! The camera didn't seem to focus on her until the end. Cheryl gets a lot of camera time and in fairness she was consistent so it wasn't all about her looks. Nicola's dainty and amazing vocal at the beginning finally achieved the spotlight! Kimberly sounded amazing too. 😊💕 Nadine didn't have a solo part but tbh the performance seemed enriched not lacking for this. Sorry! I find her voice very generic and ordinary, it's nice to hear the other girls and how under rated as vocalists they are!

They were without a doubt, the most successful of The Popstars Franchise. Everything about them was On Pointe. They are also very lucky because Fans still want to know what they are up to and that's saying a lot. Most Girl Groups who break up never can have the same solo success although they tried desperately. Latavia Robinson & LaToya Luckett the original Members of Destiny's Child found that out the hard way.

Nadine is not lead here, it's kinda weird. But I've noticed that that's what makes the track sexy and so captivating, not that her leads are not like that. =)

Love (for girls aloud) is pain. Its almost 2 years since the split :( But at least we're getting a new cheryl tour, nadine and Sarah music. Nicola is writing with international stars, and kimberley and Justin are getting married.

nicola is the best singer of the band imo but in this song cheryl has the parts especially when the beat fades out for her part and at the end when she harmonizes with nadine its very emotional for her

What's up with Sarah's singing in this tour? It's like she's trying to out sing Nadine or something. It just sounds too nasally and scratchy. Sarah's is just too forced. She needs to learn when to put it in falsetto like when Nadine does her adlibs. I love CHiMOLA and CHERDINE in this ;)
Great song. This is the part i like the most from the concert. This tour isn't my cup of tea. I don't like the arrangements and I find sarah very annoying vocally. Nicola is just GREAT! Elegant, clear, stable voice, great tone.. she is the best!

I think Kimberleys the only one whos voice & dancing is consistently amazing. All the others go a bit pitchy at parts.
Aight, aight, but thing is, that harmonization didn't sound too good, just saying-
Every time they say "feels like I wipe you" or whatever the lyrics are, I swear it sounds likes "feels like a white dude"
