I had both, it depends on the type of shooting content you want to do, but if your a gimbal company going into the A.I auto follow, portrait mode mounting for gimbals the Scorp 2 comes up short. The SCORP 2 has 2 flaws when converting camera to portrait mode(vertical video) that Hohem MT2 simply excels.
No.1-MT2 has an L bracket which allows you to orientate the camera in any direction which the L bracket is built into the ease of the design of MT2. The SCORP 2 only allows for one way portrait mode(vertical video) mounting which essentially blocks the camera flip out monitor to be any use. Why not account for that in the design like Hohem MT2 does??
No.2-The A.I reframing on SCORP 2 doesn’t reframe in portrait mode like the MT2 does. The SCORP 2 when the camera is mounted in portrait mode you have all this headroom in the video. When you try to reframe the SCORP 2 to come down closer to the top of your head, it reverts back to the original position of still having all the headroom in the shot.
So, the best all functioning all purpose A.I tracking gimbal that has full functionality in both Landscape and Portrait mode is the Hohem MT2. But the most durable functioning gimbal that if you never plan on using portrait mode for scene adjustments or solo planning for shots, then yes the SCORP 2 is the dominate gimbal

Thanks for pointing out the flaws of using the gimbal in portrait mode!

I just decided to get the SCORP2 and there are SOOOO many pluses for this Gimbal. As you mentioned. One thing that the companion app doesn't have that DJI does that is really helpful for what I use it for is the ability to add a PS/XBOX controller to remotely control it. We use the gimbal at church to be able to move the camera without a person physically being on the camera. I think the phone movement you showed will work well (and has worked pretty good) but the fact that you can't really control it that well makes it not the greatest.
At any rate, THANKS for the comparison vid.

does the image transmission allow you to track an object like a car or other non face object? does it need the app for that once selected? and can you set follow focus points with the waypoints?

You can set waypoints for motion sequences. But the AI tracking is fairly basic and only tracks human subjects.

The question of which is better SCORP Mini 2 or Hohem isteady mt2

I'd say the Scorp 2 Mini. The Scorp 2 Mini has the same perks as the Scorp 2 (touchscreen and extra handle). It's also cheaper. I like the MT2 but it's an older gimbal, has no wired compatibility with my XT-3, and you can't disable the power on/off beeping sound.
