    Thank you for your video of 'stitch with me'. I too am still figuring out which way I should stitch my full coverage that would be more comfortable for me. At this time I'm just stitching cross country, doing the most color on that page first. Had alot of thoughts of doing the parking method myself, for there are alot of ways to do parking as for 10 x 10, 20 x 20, column by column, and your previous method...diagonal. I just have to test out which method would fit for me, I suppose...Again, thank you.

      Stitch'n Korea i agree. It took me alot of trial and error until i came up with the method that works for me. When you find the one you will know it right away.

    Thanks for sharing your stitching and your thoughts with me. I thought I would share that I am stitching tonight in a hotel room. I am a nurse and a commuter. We have a Nebraska blizzard on the way and in order be able to get to work in the morning I am here in my hotel room and wanted to thank you for keeping me company!
    Much Love,

      Amy Pinkelman ...I am glad I could keep you company on your night away from home...brings back memories of having to do the same thing and then not being able to get home for a day or 2 in order to keep the facility staffed. Thank you for your dedication to our honorable profession..enjoy your stitching tonight and have a good shift tomorrow...won’t use the q word 😅😅

    Hi Karen, I also forgot to asked, when you finished a row, how do you begin the next one? Lets say you start left to right (ending) and when you start the next row, do you go back and start from left to right or right to left and alternate them?

    Thank you so much for this video! I understand about "parking" now - thought it was confusing before. This makes since now. My fist time doing diagonal full coverage, I hope I can make it as easy as you make it look-- ;) Beautiful work!

    I enjoyed learning about how you stitch.

  • @rhondahelfand6089
    @rhondahelfand6089 3 года назад

    Why did you skip that one stitch and did last in row cuz the you had threads in two holes? I’m doing a HAED and seems like every stitch In row is different? I new and trying to learn. That’s when my stitches get messed up stitching single stitc between other stitches?

  • @cindygaudet1390

    Your stitches are awesome. Could you not have all the floss you are using threaded? One friend does x country and has 10 to15 threads all needled up as she says lol

    Hi Karen.
    I only noticed parked threads on the next row below the worked row. Would you park a few rows down instead of ending the thread?

    • @NeedleBugg
      @NeedleBugg  2 года назад +1

      Jenn, you park at the next occurrence of that color whether it is in the next row or several rows down. If I need to carry more than 10-12 rows away then i end and restart when needed again.

    Have you thought of having multiple needles threaded consistently, using more then one needle at a time?

    • @NeedleBugg
      @NeedleBugg  3 года назад

      Hi Emily. Yes i have tried multiple needles and found they tend to get really tangled especially when you have alot of colors parked.

  • @gillmae5223
    @gillmae5223 6 лет назад +2

    You mentioned you have trouble piercing the thread for a pin stitch. I have started using chenille needles for that reason. They have a sharp point, so it is much easier. I have no trouble doing the crosses, even though there is a point. I now much prefer them to the usual tapestry needles. Maybe give it a try? I am really enjoying your videos, you have an easy to listen to voice, and you explain things very well. I hope you make many more. 🙂

      Gillmae thank you so much for your kind words. I do appreciate them..thanks for the input on the chenille needles. I will give them a try cause I really like using a pin stitch..

    When you come to the diagonal, do you end the floss there, even when the next stitch will be the same color? Do you use the same threading technique when using two strands of floss, and, if so, will you demonstrate the technique on your next video? Do you prefer making a full cross as you go, or making half crosses of the same color, and then completing them on the way back? Would you show a video of your stitching set ups? I keep wanting to back out of the picture frame so I can see how your frame, lights, ipad holder, needle minders, and other stitching paraphernalia are situated. One last question, which app are you using to track your progress?

      Paul & Myrna Cruz I use a Pako organizer. You can find them at 123 Stitch.. I got mine from Sassy2stitch on Etsy as they were a bit cheaper.

      Aiden Meek to be honest I have left my fabric in the hoop until I needed to move it to continue on the diagonal.

    Just found your videos and they are great! Can you tell me if you have a video that shows starting diagonal stitching using an iPad or just how to get started stitching a diagonal, i.e. where to start on fabric.

    • @NeedleBugg
      @NeedleBugg  5 лет назад

      Nancy Drake hi. I have another video FO and starting diagonal stitching. If that doesn’t answer your questions i will gladly make another starting at the very beginning with using an ipad and prepping the chart as well as showing the stitching

    • @nancydrake5309
      @nancydrake5309 5 лет назад

      Thank you for your very kind offer but I have figured out what I really want to know about diagonal stitching. I would like to start in the top left hand corner. If you could draw a number of 10x10 grids or use a free pattern showing the sequence of stitching the first 10 blocks. By showing I mean to number the sequence 1-10 in the first 10 blocks and then I believe I can figure out the rest! You can respond by messaging me on my Facebook page or here if possible. You have been so helpful and I just need that push to start. Thank you!

    Wonderful video and technique. Have you thought of using multiple needles so you don't have to thread and unthread so much?

    • @NeedleBugg
      @NeedleBugg  6 лет назад

      Kate's Crafting Corner thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed and hope you find it helpful. I had tried keeping my needles threaded but found that things just get all tangled that way..and the way I thread my needle it really only takes a second to do so I don’t mind threading so often

    Doe anybody know what its called you have it on your fabric for your needles when your doing your stitching is it magnetic it like holds your needle there but its attached to the Aida thanks

    • @NeedleBugg
      @NeedleBugg  6 лет назад

      Sam Kennedy i believe you are talking about needleminders. They are magnetic and hold your needles. You can attach them to any fabric. You place the needleminder on the top of your fabric and another magnet on the opposite side to hold it in place.

    ma'am.. I have a doubt.. these stitching and parking can only be done by those who use stand or frame ?

    • @NeedleBugg
      @NeedleBugg  6 лет назад +1

      Harini Raghavan there are people that do parking when stitching in a hoop or stitching in hand. My own personal opinion is that it is easier to manage on a frame or qsnap. I have my piece on a qsnap and use my Kay’s Creations lap stand. I want it to be portable as i stitch in different places. During the day in my sunporch and in the evenings with my hubby in the living room.
