    I have done this often, and just guessed at how to correct my dropped yarn over. This was very informative to know that I guessed right. Thank you.

    I’ve had to do this more than once. And it’s also a very good reason to put life lines in for when you don’t realize it soon enough and have to unravel back to a row you know is correct. And thank you for that wonderful tip as well.

    Excellent and I’ve been doing this for years. Amusing to me you started purling on the WS and after that recovered YO you began knitting. I’ve done the same thing on a tutorial I was making myself. Glad to see I’m in good company!

    Exactly what I needed just now. And you explain things so clearly. Thank you so much!

    Oh thank you so much! This is exactly what I did and I was mad at myself for not counting halfway thru this shawl row and was lamenting having to tink back again.

    Lifelines and stitch markers and counting stitches in each section before moving on is how I keep everything straight in lace knitting. This was all learned through making LOTS of mistakes.

    I've done this so many times, but usually it's 2 rows down (example: dropped YO on the RS, did WS row, spotted dropped YO on next RS)...I found that it's also pretty easy to fix, blocking fixed the tension...

    Have you ever done a life line video? That has saved me many times.

    I'm doing my first pattern with ssk's
    And yo k2together. I noticed when I go to the next row that my lead leg is backwards. The yarn is not resting front to back like you described. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I'm knitting two together properly.

    Is that your pattern on that gorgeous shawl behind you? Please tell me where to find it if you can!

    Thank you for this! I can use all the help correcting errors I can get! lol Just curious: How often do you count your stitches? Every completed row?

    • @CC_Reads
      @CC_Reads 2 года назад +1

      you can also use stitch markers every repeat, and if you find your repeat is off by one you dont ever have to count your whole row of stitches to find the error.

    I just watched your video on dropped yarn overs. The sample is very pretty. Do you have a pattern using that style? Thanks

      Johna - you'll always find everything you see in my videos listed out in the video description field. The sample I use in this video is from my Learn to Knit Lace pattern and tutorial:

    Kind of like a m1L without knitting through the backloop.

      You can still pull up the strand of yarn from where the YO should be.
