I need a tutorial on how to disassemble the monitor and how to replace the gears that drive it. Did you have a very narrow step-by-step tutorial on how to perform this substitution? Thanks a lot. hi there would i be able to source and purchase a working display screen from you guys? i have an a8 and that screen is smashed i need to replace it so i can control the air suspension and other features, i would love it if i could buy a unit from you guys!!! you really seem to take caution when taking apart these sensetive car components... please let me know if you could help me find and would be willing to sell this display screen unit for my 2010 audi a8l .. also not sure if u can help but im looking for the base rear center arm rest for the vehicle as well i would love to get everything i need from you guys if possible please let me know thanks and have a great day, -peter
This is a very old comment, but for those looking in 2023 check out “MR12volt” they make a plug-in unit for android auto and CarPlay that uses all the MMI controls. Made my 06 A8 feel like a new car! Uses the screen and everything. Maybe a 2 hour install max.
@@StanislavTsonchev Thank you for this comment. The screen is stuck down in mine at the moment and I want to get it up to see if its the tuner thats out or the motor on the screen. If I get it up and the radio boots up I think I will just do the modification that allows you to set it to be up all the time. 2004 A8
@@JDR253 pull the rope take it out and then you have to unplug the motor so that it doesn't move. Worst case scenario, you have to take the whole unit out and rotate the teeth so that the screen could lock in upright position.

Can we install android head on this car?

And what should i do if there is no battery, no wire and the TV is closed ? :)
There is a rope on the right side which unlocks the servo motor and swivel mechanism.
