Great playing/Cover. The song has an amazing feel. Hard to replicate the Gold Hayman Drum kit sound though. The two snares I have seen Simon playing back then were the Gold Hayman and a Beatles finish Jazz festival. Hayman notoriously got out of tune quickly under stage lights.
It’s Saturday night/Sunday morning, 1:30 am in New York, just about to hit the bed and this popped up on my feed-your cover of my favorite song of the 70s … Rock solid drumming, Domenic -perfect for the tune-and the visual presentation made me watch twice. 5 Stars!
I never liked this song very much. But it’s one of those songs you should know and I thank u because I never listened to the whole thing before. It’s not terrible, it doesn’t suck or anything. Just not on my automatically love and favorites lists. Thanks brother.
Yeah, all right now!, nice rocking solid pocket groove. Right on Domenic. Oh and I dig all those camera angles and that midsection, it had like a Latin kind of feel.
Perfect, love your song selection...you cover every song I have ever liked or own or downloaded...with a few exeptions. Still digging through your videos.love em!👍👍☺😊😆
Another great vid. Always loved this song. Old school. Can you do American Band by Grand Funk. Greatest opening drum lick ever. Great rendition of All right now. Took me back to High School.....Rock on brother.
Saw this on FB, but had to come here and see it again. This is just so perfect. The mix, the playing, the tone. Full package, quality drum cover right here! You never disappoint.
Another excellent video. Fun song to play. Great camera magic. How many cameras did you use? All of them on the same take? btw Looks like you have room for another mounted tom.!
Hey Bob. I use 3 cameras on the same take and then Ill use 2 two or three more on another take to get some other interesting angles. I think I have enough toms LOL. i did, howeve,r refinish an old bass drum that was given to me by another drummer friend and I'm going to add it to my kit.
I have 3 mounted so I noticed right away. Only have one floor tom though. Never got the second one. I have a drummer buddy who did a lot of touring back in the 80's. He always said the only thing he used his second floor tom for was to set his drink on! Two bass drums? Hardly see that anymore. Those were always the cool sets back in the day.
Great cover again! Glad you're uploading again! Just a thought... would you considering Rime of the ancient mariner by Iron Maiden? You could pull that off well!
Very nice. Also a good song for not so advanced drummers to learn, right? Solid fun bead, but not ridiculously hard. What software do you use to edit your videos?
How do you keep track of where you are in the bass/guitar solo? I know there are 22bars of regular time, and then 12 bars of double time before the sole end and break before return to chorus - but I always get lost in this section! Any guidance appreciated! I find it off putting counting 22 bars and then the 12....... I always seem to miss the end of the solo! TIA!
Hi thanks for the comment spads! I really don't take a lot of stock in counting. I mostly go by feel and by what the guitar player is doing in the lead. I just familiarize myself with the lead guitar and I know to go double time at a certain time. I did have a bit of trouble with it at first but I listened to the song so many times that it became second nature without having to count.
@@DomenicNardone thanks kindly for taking the time to respond. I've also chatted to a couple of other drum buddies, and they've basically come up with the same answer as you - not practical to count, and you loose the feel too - so I'm now memorising the two whaley bits of the solo to go to double time! Thanks for telling me how you do it! Most appreciated and keep on posting the great videos! I can record and film drum covers, but I'm not sure how to edit into a video yet... that's next on my agenda. I like your moving camera shots... nice touch! Video quality is perfect, and the sound you get from your set up is just so fresh! I love it! Very natural. Bravo! Cheers!
There is an evidence of this error in a live version published on a 45 small vinyl. Of course it was removed in record shops Talking about the late 60s. I was 8 in 1968 but I remember very well that it were an embarrassing moment for the band

Thanks! I always loved the drum sound in Bad Company. Did Simon play Haymans in Bad Company too?
@@DomenicNardone Ludwig by then, Hayman discontinued production around late 73 (Basically Hayman were made 68-73).

Not one of my favorites either, but it seemed to be a real crowd pleaser whenever we played it live. Thanks for watching!

Great to see you posting again, very cool songs, what would you think about a Cream cover?
Thanks. I thought about White Room. Perhaps in the near future.
Nice camera angles!
Thanks!
Look like the left side cymbal got a hold of the cam coming out of the bridge!
Just an effect :)
Are your sticks dipped or wrapped? Great cover, Domenic!
Thanks! My sticks are wrapped with AHEAD grip tape.
Domenic Nardone I was using ProMark wrap but I just wrapped a set with tennis racket wrap. So far, I’m liking it. Thanks!

Thanks! I use Final Cut to edit my vids.
Good job
Thanks DrumMan!!
very good
Where can I get that drumless track? Sounds awesome man!

Can you use over the shoulder cameras ?
Sometimes I do

Domenic Nardone thanks for the reply! I'll try to watch it on my computer instead. Love your covers!
I will never forget the live album with a tragic mistake of the drummer ....
What mistake was that?
@@DomenicNardone as I told you it was a live free lp
Big drummer mistake
