A finale would be like everyone just realizing Bullock was British the whole time, and somehow, the world of American Dad falling apart over this fact. Like it was the one thing that the characters should never mention!

maybe Roger kept tweeting/messaging aliens about how fun Earth is now compared to when he landed with Roger coming out in public and explained how all this time he was using his persona to live among humans
aliens come, it led to tourism and then to alien invasion with Roger being the hero.
Could be a fun way to show rogers home planet. Somthing the crew is saving for a movie/ final episode

To me: I want to say Rogers species invade earth, and then an intergalactic war starts with the Smiths leading. And then, one by one, they get tortured to death. And Roger has to pick between going back to his home or staying on earth.
The leader the one who hated love because of Roger cheating on him has a motive to invade Earth to torture Roger by going after his friends and family plus the leader also has a score to settle with Jeff

I have a feeling that the finale would definitely involve Roger and the CIA in some way. Heck, maybe it would involve Klaus in a major way like becoming human or a genetically enhanced fish like Darwin from TAWOG.
I kill to see klaus betray the smiths because the CIA offers o make him human again if he agrees to kill roger or turn him in.

But the bumper joke at the last second is him getting turned back to a fish (not by choice)
I think a fun idea for a finale would be to revist Roger's story as the Decider.
Have his people come to Earth like 'what the hell have you been doing all this time bitch. You were meant to decide if we blow this shit show up or not.'
Then Roger shows them the crash test dummy note. They reveal it was a mix-up and now Roger really does have to decide. It could even be a two or three-parter thing too. Maybe have Roger initially decide to blow up Earth, but in the final episode change his mind or something cheesy.
You'd get your usual Stan vs. Roger stuff, maybe Klaus sides with Roger's people after the years of mistreatment. Roger can spare Francine as a callback to his 'except Francine. She actually liked.' From the Decider episode. Rogu just goes along with whatever Roger's doing. Maybe the aliens who captured Jeff come to help Earth put to honour the alien who helped Hailey get Jeff back.
And naturally everybody finds out Uncle Roger is an alien...except Toshi who can be like 'no shot Sherlock. I called this years ago.'
Like i'd want a happy ending for the show. I do like a dark or sad ending but i am sick of all my favourite shows all ending on depressing or outright shitty notes. It's boring now.
Roger could even remember his future self talking to him about hiding the Golden Turd, and he can go get it to turn his people against each other and that's how they resolve the problem because they just fridge each other.
He can warn everybody else (the Earthlings) to cover theor eyes and ears, so it can't effect them too. It could even be revealed that the reason they sent Roger away was because of the Golden Turd's power.
His people could even stick him into the Hidron Collider in order to destroy the Earth. (As a callback to the 200.) Maybe Steve ans his friends don their Star Trek costumes and use their geeky trivia to trick Roger's people so they can go rescue him and then they go find the Turd. Jeff and Hailey and maybe Principle Lewis can be their getaway drivers too.

All else fails have him decide not to do it, and maybe have an after credits scene or something where Rogu presses the button and it flashes to the beginning of the show - if they wanna honor that infinite loop idea / the "all Stan's heaven" thing.
If Roger doesn’t turn out to be everyone on the show and he’s just moving really, really fast I’m going to throw a fit.

I would say it would have to be a movie that could end the series but I don’t think it would end any time soon due to how popular American dad is plus the creators would have to make that a choice

Emperor Zing tracks Roger and Jeff down to Earth for revenge. To save himself, Roger sells out Earth, his species annexing it into their empire. Eventually the Smiths thwart the invasion, Stan admits he loves his family, Hayley uses alien tech to save the environment, Steve gets together with Snot and Klaus now gets to rule the galaxy because he used the CIA mind-swap tech to switch bodies with Zing and order the aliens away.
Now a pariah on Earth and his home, Roger takes off back into the galaxy to find himself. He ends up crashing on another planet where he saves the live of an intelligence agent, asking if he can crash with him until he "fixes" his spaceship.
That’s the most likely ending. Nice! 👍

That episode already happened. It's the one where he turns their single Family Feud acceptance application into origami and then tears up. It's the straw that breaks the camel's back for all the times Roger screwed over the family

It ends by being a show in a show, we seen the Smith say cut during filming. Klaus becomes human, Roger goes back to his planet, or he was actually human.
Stan leaps onto Roger, and as they fight and wrestle on the floor Stan hits a button on his car keychain remote, a .50 caliber M60 on an oscillating turret pops out of the trunk of the car parked outside, spraying the building with bullets and taking down their enemies in the room with them (and the one guy standing guard outside). Oh wait, that was something else. Never mind.
Stan becomes deputy director
Hayley and Jeff go travelling in South America
Steve goes to college
Klaus gets his body and moves back to Germany with an old girlfriend
Seeing all this, Roger decides it’s time for him to return to his home planet but secretly sabotages everyone’s plans. He erases their memories back to the point before the first episode allowing things to begin all over again.
Maybe it’s hinted Roger has done this many times already and the Smith’s live in this perpetual cycle controlled by Roger.
It will end as Klaus waking up from his surgery.. was all a dream
Of the the peeks into the future the 200 was the best. The 2nd being the Klaus funeral only gripe with that was how they handled future Stan and Francine didn't like the Stan becoming homeless nor them getting back together just like that 🫰 after decades of her being remarried to Toshi especially since they showed they actually work, cared, and thirst for eachother only to be like nevermind she wants washed up Stan for no real reason.

An American dad movie would go so hard
Here’s my idea for an American Dad series finale. Bullock gets killed during a mission and Stan is promoted to Deputy Director. As Stan becomes more accustomed to his new position, the more he begins to neglect his family. He starts to have arguments and disagreements with both Hayley and Steve, causing Hayley and Jeff to move to Oregon while Steve run aways and ends up going out with some cafe barista named Brina. Stan and Francine’s marriage starts to crumble as he doesn’t even sleep with her. He just passes out on the couch. Francine decides to leave Stan and she ends up marrying Lewis. As for Roger, Stan turns him over to Area 51 and lets him get experimented on. Stan realizes that he’s slowly becoming Bullock he’s all alone in his house. He develops an unhealthy taste for alcohol, drugs and sex. Stan slowly starts to lose his mind as he ends up eating Klaus as sushi. The series ends with Stan floating in his family pool, dead from an overdose during a party at his house. His last thoughts were about the last time he had dinner with his family.
I thought Stan was already dead from and in his own personal heaven.
So the ending will just acknowledge that.
the stan gets a tattoo episode is based off a ray bradberry short story called the illustrated man, the tattoos would come to life on the guys body and act out the scenes

Would be cool if they continued with the idea that stan and francine eventually divorce and they show what ultimately caused it.also exploring steves/snots success in science and hayley making stan and francine grandparents .
Roger would be discovered and it turns out everyone knew but didnt care .and in classic americam dad style klaus is completely overlooked and doesn't get a conclusion.

I know this because this was one of the last songs I played in band my sophomore year before COVID and this song was hard for the winds to play for no fucking reason.
11:55 I still can’t believe that was allowed to happen. Can’t blame Kim for saying Yes to it, But come on! It’s a decades old dress made to fit specifically ONE person. Literally having anyone else try to wear it would damage it, even if you found a woman with measurements close to Marilyn’s at the time she wore it.
They could’ve just made Kim a replica of the dress, sized for her. At least that wouldn’t have damaged a historical artifact.

To be fair, the original ending for Little Shop of Horrors aged better with time. Everyone I know who's seen the original ending says it's freaking hilarious! I know I don't speak for everyone, but I can say there are some of us who think the changes ending sucks in comparison. Let the plants win!
I was in a theater performance of LSOH, I was Audrey 2 (wore a plant costume and sat in the pot). We had an ending where the plant “won” despite being “destroyed”, it had bitten Audrey and she was later “assimilated” like the borg or a vampire. She ends up attacking Seymour in NJ and he becomes a plant human hybrid and it spreads.

I had the idea of "turns out everyone is Roger", and I like the premis. Like it start out as a normal episode, but the further in you get, the more of the background characters starts become Roger in disguises, where the Smiths will start to notice and the Rogers chase them. Mabye have it linked to how Stan is in haven, like Roger is a parasite?
Hot water is one of my FAVORITE episodes. I know all the words to all the songs and they get stuck in my head 😂 and the first time I saw the end I was just 😮😂
There’s a episode sent in the future with Haley and Jeff had a bunch of kids and one was just Haley with Blonde hair and I keep thinking damn Haley would look good as a blonde
Yeah the American Dad finale should be Roger returning to his home planet to report back his findings only for them to attack Earth and kill everyone and Roger is tasked with killing the Smiths. (Like a callback to the roast kill space episode)
After Roger kills everyone else it’s him vs Stan and like an old Yeller scene Stan is victorious and he wanders the ruins at the end, reminiscing of places or something and riding a weird talking horse into the sunset. There I just wrote the finale.
PS: Final credit scene is Klaus in HUMAN form acknowledging this was his story (him as a fish was an analogy) Roger wasn’t an alien he’s a grey parrot and that we just wasted 20 years of our lives.
God save American Dad, the best American animated show at the moment (and for quite a while), imo.

I think how American Dad ends will be like a matrix twists we’re Stan Finds out he and his family have been Living in a Simulation of their World but not by Robots but Roger’s People has Invaded Earth and Took over it and has trapped Humanity in a Simulation like using The Goo Cubes they Stealed from the CIA and Stan has been given a Choice to remain In Gooo Simulation or Join a Resistance to try take their world back.

Imo, the CIA finally finds out Stan has Roger, Roger flees back home and the family unfortunately spreads out and goes into hiding with them reconnecting years later including Roger to reminisce one last time.

if Roger ever gets exposed I would love to see Bullock personally kill each one of the smiths with him saving either Stan or Harley last. I say Harley since he used to date her and him killing Stan last just feels right as Stan's boss. I also choose this idea as a callback to how bullock was looking for roger in the early series. I also love the idea of the finale being about roger's planet. It would also give Jeff something to do since he is often left out in the finales and he is the only character who has met roger's people.
I thought American dad ended over a decade ago. I thought it ended by the time The Cleveland Show started
I could see either Roger getting exposed (as that seems to be a popular theory) or I can see the family dying and we go back to the deal the devil that Stan made. And they could probably end it with him escaping and getting to heaven and then everybody has a good time in heaven. And somehow Roger gets there?

a movie with rogers people invading getting to see the majestic with the wax fang song, a bunch of shoutouts to other funny moments from the show. they delved into the multiverse in a silly but fun way in the last season. they could use alien tech to do something similair. if any show could copy or take inspiration from the road tos from family guy it should be American Dad

Long story short, with many reasons ignored put basically because in Hank of the Hill they're the only animation to have characters with 4 fingers and a thumb, I'm hoping they are reality and all other shows exist in their universe, but with in the tv. So any show could end with an ending like the sopranos due to Hank just turning off the television "in reality"....?
Then maybe switching from cable to streaming services puts an end to all other shows not being able to be viewed without cable subscription...?

My idea that would combine a bunch of ideas, so at the start, klaus finally gets a body after the cia re-opens the body section of there building, maybe this is caused after klaus saves stan in some way. In a small starting bit after, someone tips off the cia about an alien in the smith house, maybe this being a wheels and legman bit of daring the other to truth or dare, with the random number being selected being the cia. This giving the operation of klaus a body being the perfect moment of attack. Since they lost their tech when they removed the body section, they use a more experimental version the requires a brain transplant or something. This allows bullock to see inside Klaus brain, maybe a few flashbacks to Klaus in episodes or something, thus revealing Roger to the cia and how he’s staying at the smiths. The cia busts in to the smith house, guns drawn and take the family and Roger to finally get him off the planet. Roger try’s to make an urgent call home while stan and the family are held prisoner. Bullock would immediately start to question them, slapping stan in the face, this making him realize that bullock speaks British. This making the cia question him instead, where maybe it turns out bullock was an alien the entire time, being a persona that no one could see past. With him trying to find Roger in order to have a love life or something. After this as everyone is questioning bullock, Roger has a chance to call home, thus showing us his home planet and how life is there. The aliens all lead a charge on earth, with Roger taking the family back to his home planet. This will end the series with a panning shot out of the family’s new home on Roger’s planet, ending on either a destroyed American flag or Roger’s home planets flag, with a subtle tune of the intro.

Here’s how i think it should end, the smiths meet the griffins, stan and peter get into a fight, at the end of the fight peter and stan fight over the gun, but since stan has worked for the cia, he uses that experience to get the gun and shoot peter to end both american dad, and family guy.( The fight started because the griffins saw roger without a disguise, peter then starts criticizing stan for hiding an alien)

I feel like they do a try a true futurama ending. Where either they make the ending where they redo the timeline in a time travel dimension redo or somehow Stan goes back in time and he is the reason Rodger made it to earth then making sure Rodge finds his way to the Smith.
Real out of box ending Stan is Rodger. Somehow, do to time travel and an experiments Stan becomes rodger but all he wants is to return to his family in the future.
the way i see it, i think the anti-christ episode is this show's canonical ending, with everything that happens afterwards takes place in heaven (thus explaining all the non-canonical endings)

We see Clouse being hanged on the wall in Stan's personal heven 🤔. This makes the rapture episode non cannon since he's alive in the following episodes, still a good theory nevertheless
