Game development update for the game PixelTribe that im currently working on. In this devlog series I discuss the progress of the game and different challenges ive met during development.
Its finally time to take some lessons from Diablo Immortal and add some dungeons in our game as well!
PixelTribe is a game where you can build, upgrade and manage your own clan of vikings. Here you can craft and equip weapons and armor for your vikings, and send them on different raids against other bad-guys.

Something I really like is having 3 choices cards with each having a reward/drawback.
For example, you have more wood as rewards/enemies have more hp or your characters reduce their cooldown when attacking enemies/enemies give less xp or your characters regen on hit/enemies gain attack over time.
Though having mechanical upsides (as opposed to just completion rewards) makes fishing for good ones mandatory when pushing leaderboard so it may be less desirable to some people.

Amazing video! Can't wait for the next one, I think the dungeons are a great idea, and love how it turned out! I think it could be really cool as well if there was some sort of custom dungeon boss every 10 waves or maybe a special dungeon boss every 50 waves! This is only an idea but I think it would fit in well! Love the videos!! ❤️❤️

The art is so cute! 😃 Nice idea to have an unlockable building for dungeons. Have you considered having a random roaming boss in the dungeon that can show up at any time?? I think that would be super engaging, would make for great content, and can perhaps add a bit of lore if you want to sprinkle that in 😉

I have a suggestion: idk how it will work for the automaticity generating fights, but if there just comes more enemies I think it would be pretty boring. Instead I suggest giving the enemies different buffs (both dmg buffs and other stuff) or making some “temperature meter” for the player so they slowly take dmg or make ice attacks do less dmg (if they exist)
Also sorry that I can’t post this on discord I’m away from home and just have my phone that I’m too lazy to install discord on :/

I have another suggestion: make different “biomes” In the dungeon where some spells and attacks do more dmg and others less, making the player have to strategize to make the best stuff for each area.
