  • Title: প্রজাপতি সংরক্ষণ | Butterfly Conservation
Butterflies are notable among the colorful creatures in nature.
These insects captivate everyone with their diverse colors, body structures, and playful movements.
Butterflies also play a vital role in the environment.
However, most butterfly species are now endangered for various reasons.
If these insects are not conserved, the ecological balance will be disrupted.
Today’s episode is about Butterfly Conservation.
We will discuss this with Prof. Dr. Md. Monwar Hossain.
But first, let’s watch Prokriti O Jibon Team’s field report on Butterfly Conservation.
Dear viewers, we have just watched a detailed documentary on Butterfly Conservation.
Now we will start our discussion with our guest today, Prof. Dr. Md. Monwar Hossain.
    How are you?
    I’m fine.
You have been working on and researching butterflies for many years.
Could you please tell us which commonly seen butterflies are endangered?
Butterflies are a component of nature and dermis indicator, that indicates the health of the environment, nature, and forests.
About 112 species of butterflies are endangered and 75 are vulnerable in Bangladesh.
Overall, the number of butterfly species in Bangladesh is 305 and has increased to 421.
According to the last census, 188 species of butterflies are endangered among them.
    About 188 among 400?
    Right.
This is definitely a large number.
This shows that our environment is not in good condition, and so does the forests.
We need to take immediate action on this matter.
We need to conserve our nature, their habitats, and plants so that butterflies can be sustained.
