It is impressive !! Lead singer is Corey Taylor. And he is not ONLY the lead singer of slipknot, he is also the singer (during the same time) for a band called "stone sour". And his range is so GREAT. And as a recommendation, stone sour - "through glass" talking about the vanity of the entertainment industry, specifically music industry and it's overall "fakeness" To answer your question. It ranges from anger, sadness, being betrayed, cheated on. But some people listen to it even when happy.
Oh yeah, that is so true Because other people who are obviously ignorant and have no idea what they’re talking about and very judgmental think that heavy metal fans are always so angry and so full of hate. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. Metal fans are actually the most happiest and most chill people in the world because they release all of their aggression and all and all bottled up emotions through the music. And not only that, but the music has also helped them through a lot of dark times in their life. And I myself can relate to that. The music had also helped a lot of people who struggled with mental health and depression. All and all heavy metal is all about release, freedom, community, rebellion, and fun.
A lot of people use metal for workout music since it's very uptempo and intense, which can help you push yourself harder. Once you listen to this kinda music and even heavier stuff long enough, you can become desensitized to it and it then becomes just as easily listenable as country, pop, jazz, rap etc. It's all about mindset and personal comfort with the soundscape that is metal. There's a TON of sub-genres and each one can sound very different compared to the rest. I applaud anyone willing to at least give this genre a chance even if you don't end up loving it, but from my experience both personally and watching youtube reactions, a lot of people are amazed by how much they love metal once they find the sub-genre that speaks to them the most. Many of us metalheads have our preferred genres but we often listen to many other music genres outside of metal aswell for different reasons. Recently I've been listening to a Russian Indie rock band called Biting Elbows. I also listen to some Russian Deathcore metal like Slaughter to Prevail which is super heavy and also heavily inspired by this band Slipknot. The metal scene is international and a very fun time once you find your niche. Edit: It may also help to read the lyrics after you listen to the song to get the true meaning, a lot of metal can have very deep or philosofical meaning, some of it can be based on drama like getting your heart broken or losing someone you loved. Some of it can be angry "let's fight" music, and everything inbetween. Some metal is even comedic like the German metal band WBTBWB (We Butter The Bread With Butter) that made a song about his scooter and how fast and cool it is, that song is called "20 km/h". If you want some cool introductory bands to try out I suggest "twelve Foot Ninja", "Jinjer" and "I Prevail", they are solid bands with some cool songs to try out.

This is one of my favorite Slipknot songs and I can listen to it in almost any scenario. Whether I'm driving, working out, in the shower or just hanging around, it's time for Slipknot. I just don't have it or other heavy music playing when I'm taking a nap, where I have a softer music playlist. And yes, the same singer does the shouting and softer singing, Corey Taylor, who has a great range.
This type of music is meant for headbanging, if you sit calmly and analyse you're missing an important part of the experience. Crank it up and feel the music
Ya know since system of a down and Slipknot were my gateway to metal years ago, i think youd be surprised that this is the more on the "accessible" metal at the time. Also I listen to this on my commute to work, before bed, etc. The aggression is cathartic these days. Also if you havent already you should check out stone sour
Honestly, if you're a fan of the genre like myself, you can listen to this really at anytime. I've had on hard rock and metal while doing the dishes, assembling something my wife bought at IKEA, or even in the ear buds while I'm at work. 😉
As far as what mood you have to be in to enjoy this, I think it's different for everyone. I personally just enjoy it almost any time but it hits different if you're in a foul mood and just wanna blow off steam. I also love listening to metal when I'm working out or just working in general.
Any mood will do. Megadeth - HOLY WARS … THE PUNISHMENT DUE - SYMPHONY OF DESTRUCTION (that one night live in Buenos Aires) Slayer - SEASONS IN THE ABYSS Black Sabbath - LADY EVIL Metal Church - WATCH THE CHILDREN PRAY Accept - BALLS TO THE WALL The Four Horsemen - ROCKIN IS MA BUSINESS Kyuss - GREEN MACHINE Alice In Chains - WE DIE YOUNG The Cult - SHE SELLS SANCTUARY Rhino Bucket - ONE NIGHT STAND - HEY THERE
Sometimes listen to try to wake up and get psyched up before work, fuel for when I’m working out, a release from the day on the drive home from work and a soothing melody to fall asleep to. That’s when it’s best to listen.
I listen at all times, anytime. When I am getting ready in the morning, when I am cruising around with my Grandkids, when I am sad and when I am happy. Whenever the moods hits. Like others have said do Snuff to see another side of this iconic band.
i basically listen to this stuff whenever i want😂 driving, working out, cooking, showering, folding laundry, etc. i have adhd so this type of music is a good outlet for my hyperactivity.
What kind of mood? We were partying in my sister's front yard getting drunk and we had a loud stereo speaker and someone requested Slipknot. So we found this song and we just started going nuts because we were drunk. We all yelled out "THE LIMITS OF THE DEAD!!". Now my sister lives in the hood. But everyone who heard us was like quick, get in the house. 🤣🤣🤣
@@MiaintheMoment For you I think a better introduction to Slipknot would be the songs, "Snuff" and "Duality". Psychosocial is usually harder for non-metal fans to get into. It tends to turn them off from listening to more because it's shocking to their senses
Somebody said one time that their mind / thoughts are very chaotic and disorganized.. Listening to this puts order to that chaos. Metal music may be seen as brutal or violent but it is surprisingly very disciplined, methodical, and planned. The anticipation of every notes that plays right on time, forces the mind to focus on that and other details, calming it. It definitely calms me down too but i would have never thought to describe it like that, and i believe its real. Now obviously it could apply to any music, but metal is generally more rich in composition and has higher tempos, meaning more stuff to attune our chaotic minds to.
looking forward to more slipknot reactions! love seeing ppl give the band who saved my life a chance. highly recommend dead memories and vermillion part 2
I appreciate you being open minded. Slipknot was the first heavy metal band I liked. I'm a huge metal head now. When I 1st started listening to Slipknot I liked them but wasn't as into them as I am now several years later. For me as a woman getting into metal was a slow process. Maybe you will get like I am now as a metal head. Slipknot is now one of my absolute favorite bands ever. But it took time for me. My favorite part is the same as yours in this song. I guess I really love breakdowns in metal. I probably also love metal because of some deep rooted anger I have inside from my childhood. But I swear it just sounds better to me now.
Everyone has a different tolerance to metal, usually based on how long you've listened to it. Like for you, this is probably crazy heavy. After listening to a lot of stuff for like 15 years, this is almost too light for me anymore. 😂 All is to say, people that are into metal can listen to it 24/7 since we've adapted to it plenty. Their song "Before I Forget" is a bit easier as a first.
As a horror fan you should listen to some Rob Zombie, I recommend Dragula. Other good choices for horror fans are Misfits "Scream" and "Helena", and Danzig "Mother". Very horror movie inspired.
Haha appropriate times to listen to this. Lets see driving, working out, doing chores, gardening, cooking, between the sheets, walking, breathing, at any time. Music is playing in my head at all times of the day. Keeps me focused.
When you are angry. When you need to clean aggressively. lol gym? Tons of reasons. But I like your openness and honestness towards it. Need more people like You in this world.
I'll listen to Slipknot anytime of the day at any mood, but my absolute favorite time to listen to them is when I'm walking my dog late at night, the streets are empty and it's just me and my music in my head. It's absolute bliss
The lyrics that Slipknot songs are usually deeper than most people see. the they have alot of songs and also are a group of really cool dudes. Corey has even covered the SpongeBob theme. Vermillion is one of my favorite songs by them. I listen to them during my commute to work or basically doing anything that i need to hype myself for 😊
@@MiaintheMoment It worked again this morning. I have a suggestion that's not necessarily metal... Clutch - Electric Worry. First song on my tri-polar playlist.
Seeing you react Slipknot got me into nostalgia xD... nowadays I imigrated to a ton of different metal genres and Slipknot was a perfect starting to metal for me. Metallica is a crazy start to metal too! Great video!
If you're real you listen to what you want Whenever you want 💯 I grew up listening to my mom's music. The Doors, Hendrix etc. As I got older shit got harder. Pantera live when I was 15... still have the t-shirt. I'm 46 now
You got that peaceful asmr voice haha I'm subbed lol May this day be filled with sunshine, positive energy, and filled with smiles on this day for you 🤙Keep the positive vibes rolling
4:42 always I’ve been listening to them since I was 13-14 y/o and I’m now 36. It’s fuel for my mindset and to push forward in whatever task you have for that day
From a metal fans perspective, you can listen to this style of music whenever. However, most of the time heavier music goes with more extreme moods. When you’re really upset, excited, or just generally want to express emotion. The music kind of does it for you in a sense. If you’re looking for more modern metal bands or styles of metal music to see what I mean I’d recommend starting a bit softer with bands like Bad Omens, Imminence, or even some more recent albums by architects. All of those bands can get heavy as slipnot does here, and frequently do. But they’re all also a bit easier of a starting point for people interested in the genre without knowing where to otherwise start.
It'd be awesome to see your reaction to Corey Taylor's (the lead singer of Slipknot) acoustic version of their song "Snuff". The contrast between their usual style and what you'd see in the aforementioned performance is surprising and shows the range and complexity of these types of artists (and such things are the rule, not the exception).
What kind of mood do I need to be in to want to listen to this? Waking up in the morning, making lunch, driving down the road, getting ready for bed. There is not mood. It is in my blood. Being a drummer myself, give me a heavy guitar and rockin beat and I am a happy guy. 😀
Corey Taylor (Lead singer) has an incredible voice. If you're willing to give Slipknot another chance, I would suggest Gehanna, and Snuff. It's a side of his voice within Slipknot that is a HUGE departure from this. Dark, but way more mellow. And it does an incredible job of show casing his voice. There is another project he was involved with that has Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters / Nirvana) and it's an amazing tracked called "From can to can't" To answer your question of "when you want to listen to something like this" For some of us, it's all the time. For others, it's great for the gym. My musical taste is like an all you can eat buffet. I will enjoy a bit of everything. I listen to Johnny Cash, Sinatra, Wu-Tang, Dre, LL, Pantera, Amon Armath. Even if it's not for you, I respect your openness to at least trying it out. If you're looking for some new stuff; Alice in Chains, Metallica (masters of the change up), Pantera, Foo FIghters.
The mask, the heavier music, some throated singing.... then corey hits you with the clean vocals and takes everyone by surprise like, "dang...that guy can sing" lol. They also have one of the best lyrical songs I have heard in "Snuff". Worth checking out. Snuff by Slipknot is one of my favorite songs lyrics wise.... and I would argue it is a beautiful song.
why do i listen to this? do you not feel the energy radiating from this song??? Metal music is a wonderful tool to have when you need to get shit done. to me, this is just as good as a cup of coffee.
i listen to slipknot day and night! they're rly good to start your morning with if u need to feel energised :) but i also listen to them to bed bc i find their music soothing haha
I'm biased as a Slipknot fan, but any time or mood is good to listen to them for me. Lol If you want to listen to some of their more chill stuff, try "Snuff" and "Dead Memories" if you'd like future content. They're ballads but also really well done. Psychosocial is my favorite song of theirs along with Duality and Before I Forget.
Most reactors do this song but in my opinion i would start from their self titled album with the song “wait and bleed” or in the Iowa album “disasterpiece” -album version
Honestly, this is the mood I'm in most of the time. Sometimes a little lighter, sometimes heavier. Some people are just more drawn, or predisposed, towards the darker, more aggressive things in life. Nothing is for everyone. Plus Some people, myself included, grew up effected by negative things in our environment. The vocalist grew up around alcoholism in his family, I did too. There are a lot of factors that make us angry people. I was an extremely angry person, and metal and punk gave me a way of coping with that anger. But I'm not a violent person. I have,'t hit anyone in 30 years, but I still feel angry all the time because of what I went through growing up. I read a lot of music biographies on metal artists, and there's a common thread among a lot of young metal musicians, and that's growing up in unhappy homes, and their anger comes from that. Metal is just a release for whatever your dealing with in life. I think it's great that a lot of people can turn to metal, instead of a bottle, or abusing those around. My parents were alcoholics, my brother became an alcoholic and druggy. I stayed away from drugs, only drank socially, didn't fight just alienated myself by loving metal.
I can listen to them any time really because I’m a huge fan and I just love metal, rock and grunge in general. It definitely does get you hyped so it’s good gym/workout music or even on my way to work in the morning. It’s like caffeine for your ears. I highly recommend their song SNUFF - the live version. It’s acoustic and much slower, with no screaming or masks. It’s just Corey Taylor (lead singer) singing hi heart out. It’s a very emotional song and you will really get a taste of his amazing vocal range and power. I promise you will love it!
Slipknot is a great band. They have a very heavy sound that can be both chaotic as well as melodic. The lead singer Corey Taylor has an amazing voice and vocal talent, he can scream, he can rap, and he can sing beautifully. The lyrics of their songs are also surprisingly deep and meaningful when you get over the heavy sound and actually listen. The masks that the band wears have a long and storied history. They're not just a gimmick but have real meaning behind them. I don't have to be in any particular mood to listen to Slipknot, I grew up listening to them and listening to them feels like and old comfortable blanket for me now. If you want to react to more Slipknot I'd recommend the following: Wait and Bleed - The single from their first and self titled album, and one of my personal favorite of their songs. Duality - One of their most iconic songs and the single from their third album. The music video is particularly good and captures the feeling of the bands early days. Before I Forget - A great song in it's own right, but became wildly popular as the music video teased a view of the band without their masks on for the first time. The Devil in I - Is a great song that features amazing vocals from Corey. The lyrics and the video touch on the topic of what exactly their masks mean to them. Fun fact, the lead singer Corey Taylor is also the lead singer of Stone Sour, another very successful band. You've likely heard their song "Through Glass" as it was played on the radio and in malls and stores non stop for a very long time and is still played quite often in those settings today. Lastly, if you want to get a good feeling for Corey Taylor by himself, you should look up and react to the video "Corey Taylor - Snuff (Acoustic)" which is from the Corey Taylor: Live in London show. The entire show is worth watching, but if you only watch one thing from it watch Snuff.
Slipknot is some of the best music layering metal out there ... I live in an apt so I love to listen to it LOUD in the car .... the definition of drive angry ... LOL. For another good layered song that has harsh / clean vocals try "In Due Time" by Killswitch Engage ... it also has a great message in the lyrics.
Absolutely love your content first off! I always love seeing someone step outside their comfort zone to listen to other genres a chance. Life long metal head who grew up with a very musically diverse family learning to love everything from the hardest of metal, to stuff lile Michael Jackson, Prince, NWA, Gorillaz, Sade, etc.... Slipknot can definitely be a little heavy as an early band to get into. A couple suggestions of a few songs to check out that might help ease you in a little are Sevendusts "Denial", Deftones "Change (In The House of Flies), which i think would probably be the most accessible and easy to get into, and Taproot "Poem". I'm pretty sure you'd really love 2 at the very least of those, if not all 3. Keep up the amazing work and open mind. I'm a fan. Sorry for the long comment, btw.
@MiaintheMoment No problem. The Deftones track I think will be a real winner for you musically. It's got this groovy bass line that really sets the tone, with some almost eerie sounds in the background, and Chino their singer has such a unique voice. The lyrics sometimes are a bit dark, but they got good somgs to warm people up to the metal genre. Thanks for the reply. Always love YT who really engage with their fanbase. Hope you're having a great evening, and look forward to more content!
Hey, Mia! First time channel viewer and wanted to give a thoughtful answer to a really good question many people ask the first time they hear Slipknot "What makes you want to listen to this music?" There's 3 main times Slipknot is perfect for I'll touch on briefly: Working out - If you want to feel like you can run through a wall, listen to 3 or 4 songs from the Iowa album in a row. Drawing lines in the sand - sometimes life puts us in a position where it's us vs. them. Jobs, relationships, etc. put us in a position where we have to look within ourselves and ask where we're going to draw the line and push back. Many of Slipknots lyrics are centered around a relentless pursuit of truth and fighting for it. Last, when life puts you in a blender and you have no idea how to feel. As you heard in Psychosocial, Slipknot is extremely dynamic. Harsh vocals mixed with beautiful melodies, tempo & time signature shifts, and their overall musicianship really capture the feeling of that every day struggle back and forth between the choices we face. Listening to someone who is also seeking truth among the chaos is comforting because you don't feel like the only person fighting that fight. I hope that helps see it from the viewpoint of someone this music has made a positive impact on. I hope you check out more of their songs and look forward to hanging out on the journey!
@@MiaintheMoment You're very welcome! As far as a road map for people new to Slipknot, I would say that Duality, Before I Forget, & Wait & Bleed are songs that form a bridge between sounds people are more familiar with, & where Slipknot takes their music. I would say songs like Eyeless, Disasterpiece, and Purity are essentials after you've got your feet wet. But are so heavy they can turn people off that might not be adjusted to the overall picture yet. I hope that is helpful and wish you well on your journey into metal!

Honestly, if you're a fan of the genre like myself, you can listen to this really at anytime. I've had on hard rock and metal while doing the dishes, assembling something my wife bought at IKEA, or even in the ear buds while I'm at work.
😉
I love listening to this when training. Perfect gym music.
i can see that makes a lot of sense
I’m watching your reaction to this song before I go to bed, this song can be heard anytime of the day
love the comment, thanks!
Ive always listened to rock/metal, its great music anytime, its rhythmic, the lyrics are deep and meaningful, its good to relax to
makes sense
As far as what mood you have to be in to enjoy this, I think it's different for everyone. I personally just enjoy it almost any time but it hits different if you're in a foul mood and just wanna blow off steam. I also love listening to metal when I'm working out or just working in general.
so ture!
Slipknot has always been my go to workout music or just walking about outside. 😮
Any mood will do.

metal can help calm down some of us. everyone thinks metal is all angry music when thats not true at all. great video
For me its calming so when your having a bad day is when i used to listen to them but i listen to them daily no matter what mood I'm in
Sometimes listen to try to wake up and get psyched up before work, fuel for when I’m working out, a release from the day on the drive home from work and a soothing melody to fall asleep to. That’s when it’s best to listen.
makes a lot of sense
The appropriate time and mood to listen to music is anytime and in any mood. 🤘
I listen at all times, anytime. When I am getting ready in the morning, when I am cruising around with my Grandkids, when I am sad and when I am happy. Whenever the moods hits. Like others have said do Snuff to see another side of this iconic band.
thanks for the comment! 💜
@@MiaintheMoment Thanks for the reaction.
i basically listen to this stuff whenever i want😂 driving, working out, cooking, showering, folding laundry, etc. i have adhd so this type of music is a good outlet for my hyperactivity.
thanks for the input
I listen to it when I go to the gym, it is a very powerful song that gives me energy💪
adding to the gym playlist
If you don't immediately headbang to this, it's not for you. maybe listen to it again in ten years
What kind of mood? We were partying in my sister's front yard getting drunk and we had a loud stereo speaker and someone requested Slipknot. So we found this song and we just started going nuts because we were drunk. We all yelled out "THE LIMITS OF THE DEAD!!". Now my sister lives in the hood. But everyone who heard us was like quick, get in the house. 🤣🤣🤣
I don't need to be in any specific mood.
I like listening to them any time, Metal and Grindcore are calming for me.
thanks for the input, i will at least be putting this song in my workout list
Now obviously it could apply to any music, but metal is generally more rich in composition and has higher tempos, meaning more stuff to attune our chaotic minds to.
very good analysis that makes a lot of sense, thanks
looking forward to more slipknot reactions! love seeing ppl give the band who saved my life a chance. highly recommend dead memories and vermillion part 2
wow so glad they could get you through low times in your live. i will for sure give those other songs a chance
But I swear it just sounds better to me now.
thanks so much for this comment
You should definitely check out Vermillion pt 2 if you'd be interested in their softer music.
Part 1 is heavy-ish and part 2 is soft
ok will put this on my list to react too
For Metalhead's we jam our music 24-7 ! Wait till you hear even more heavy bands!!! 🤘🏼
Their song "Before I Forget" is a bit easier as a first.
omg i didnt think of that makes a lot of sense
As a horror fan you should listen to some Rob Zombie, I recommend Dragula. Other good choices for horror fans are Misfits "Scream" and "Helena", and Danzig "Mother". Very horror movie inspired.
Every mood is a good time to listen this kind of music for me. Its a beautiful chaos 👌😁
such good input, thanks
As a metalhead i would recommend from slipknot "before i forget" that seems to be that one slipknot song that everyone likes lol
doing that!
Slipknot is a fantastic group to review! Before I forget is another great song by them.
I will be doing that song next
@@MiaintheMoment awesome! 😎
Haha appropriate times to listen to this. Lets see driving, working out, doing chores, gardening, cooking, between the sheets, walking, breathing, at any time. Music is playing in my head at all times of the day. Keeps me focused.
lol so anytime love it!!!
This music is my therapy. Fell asleep to this and old hard rock in Afghanistan to drown out the bullshit. Now it's just calming..
wow so glad if gave you some therapy when you were in bad moments
When you are angry. When you need to clean aggressively. lol gym? Tons of reasons. But I like your openness and honestness towards it. Need more people like
You in this world.
When im at the lowest of lows during my teenage years, i listen to their songs especially "skin ticket".it somehow calms me down
wow so glad you had an escape for moments you were feeling low!!!
@@MiaintheMoment give them chance, maybe try to listen to their tamer songs like Vermilion, before I forget, killpop, snuff and yen
Slipknot and many other bands in this genre are great to calm down, like driving on the Autobahn for example
makes sense
I listen to it every time I work out gets me going motivation
I think even you would be able to see the beauty in the Vermilion trilogy = slipknot
I'll listen to Slipknot anytime of the day at any mood, but my absolute favorite time to listen to them is when I'm walking my dog late at night, the streets are empty and it's just me and my music in my head. It's absolute bliss
Sidenote: If you're a Horror movie fan, try listening to The virus of life, Scissors and Prosthetics by Slipknot, very eerie music, very creepy 😏
love the input thanks!
The lyrics that Slipknot songs are usually deeper than most people see. the they have alot of songs and also are a group of really cool dudes. Corey has even covered the SpongeBob theme. Vermillion is one of my favorite songs by them. I listen to them during my commute to work or basically doing anything that i need to hype myself for 😊
i need to do more research and learn thanks
I get up for work super early in the morning and have a 30 minute commute. Metal is better than coffee! 🤘
Also another cringe comment
Bro a hater for real
@@LeviticusRolle-og3py possibly
omg, now thats a wake up call. ok im going to try this early on the way to the gym
Great video!
love the comment i need to try metalica
Slipknot is my favorite and has been my favorite since I was like 9 , please react to more 🥹
If you're real you listen to what you want Whenever you want 💯 I grew up listening to my mom's music. The Doors, Hendrix etc. As I got older shit got harder. Pantera live when I was 15... still have the t-shirt. I'm 46 now
wow there is so much music i don't know because i haven't heard of many you just listed but will for sure have to react to them
You got that peaceful asmr voice haha I'm subbed lol May this day be filled with sunshine, positive energy, and filled with smiles on this day for you 🤙Keep the positive vibes rolling
Thanks for subbing! & love your compliment
4:42 always
I’ve been listening to them since I was 13-14 y/o and I’m now 36. It’s fuel for my mindset and to push forward in whatever task you have for that day
love this thanks for the comment
From a metal fans perspective, you can listen to this style of music whenever. However, most of the time heavier music goes with more extreme moods. When you’re really upset, excited, or just generally want to express emotion. The music kind of does it for you in a sense. If you’re looking for more modern metal bands or styles of metal music to see what I mean I’d recommend starting a bit softer with bands like Bad Omens, Imminence, or even some more recent albums by architects. All of those bands can get heavy as slipnot does here, and frequently do. But they’re all also a bit easier of a starting point for people interested in the genre without knowing where to otherwise start.
ok that makes a lot of sense thanks of the comment! 💜
It'd be awesome to see your reaction to Corey Taylor's (the lead singer of Slipknot) acoustic version of their song "Snuff". The contrast between their usual style and what you'd see in the aforementioned performance is surprising and shows the range and complexity of these types of artists (and such things are the rule, not the exception).
will absolutely check this out
@@MiaintheMoment Thanks!
@@MiaintheMomentanother excellent, softer song that I think you'd really love also is Vermillion Pt. 2.
What kind of mood do I need to be in to want to listen to this? Waking up in the morning, making lunch, driving down the road, getting ready for bed. There is not mood. It is in my blood. Being a drummer myself, give me a heavy guitar and rockin beat and I am a happy guy. 😀
so ANY situation, love it
Corey Taylor (Lead singer) has an incredible voice. If you're willing to give Slipknot another chance, I would suggest Gehanna, and Snuff. It's a side of his voice within Slipknot that is a HUGE departure from this. Dark, but way more mellow. And it does an incredible job of show casing his voice.
There is another project he was involved with that has Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters / Nirvana) and it's an amazing tracked called "From can to can't"
To answer your question of "when you want to listen to something like this"
For some of us, it's all the time.
If you're looking for some new stuff; Alice in Chains, Metallica (masters of the change up), Pantera, Foo FIghters.
i have to agree his voice was actually amazing. and i will for sure give them another try thanks for the suggestions!!
the song was so gOod . but the thing so look gorgeous to me is yOu . From Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭
awww you are sweet thanks babe
@@MiaintheMoment thank yOu babe 😘♥️
The mask, the heavier music, some throated singing.... then corey hits you with the clean vocals and takes everyone by surprise like, "dang...that guy can sing" lol. They also have one of the best lyrical songs I have heard in "Snuff". Worth checking out.
Snuff by Slipknot is one of my favorite songs lyrics wise.... and I would argue it is a beautiful song.
love this comment
Hell yeah we listen to it! I listen to this kind of music all the time, even when I go to sleep.
makes so much sense
why do i listen to this? do you not feel the energy radiating from this song??? Metal music is a wonderful tool to have when you need to get shit done. to me, this is just as good as a cup of coffee.
that makes so much sense
i listen to slipknot day and night! they're rly good to start your morning with if u need to feel energised :) but i also listen to them to bed bc i find their music soothing haha
that makes sense i will be for sure adding them to my workout playlist
I'm biased as a Slipknot fan, but any time or mood is good to listen to them for me. Lol If you want to listen to some of their more chill stuff, try "Snuff" and "Dead Memories" if you'd like future content. They're ballads but also really well done. Psychosocial is my favorite song of theirs along with Duality and Before I Forget.
Most reactors do this song but in my opinion i would start from their self titled album with the song “wait and bleed” or in the Iowa album “disasterpiece” -album version
any mood really. i listen to it while driving at work mostly, but again anytime is a good time!
thanks for the comment!
I stayed away from drugs, only drank socially, didn't fight just alienated myself by loving metal.
thanks so much for your input!! and sharing your experience i love to hear it
"When do you listen to this?" At any moment lmfao, You just listen when you want to listen
I listen to it early in the morning when i take my kids to school.
I fall asleep to this. It's soothing to me.
i bet you sleep like a baby
I can listen to them any time really because I’m a huge fan and I just love metal, rock and grunge in general. It definitely does get you hyped so it’s good gym/workout music or even on my way to work in the morning. It’s like caffeine for your ears. I highly recommend their song SNUFF - the live version. It’s acoustic and much slower, with no screaming or masks. It’s just Corey Taylor (lead singer) singing hi heart out. It’s a very emotional song and you will really get a taste of his amazing vocal range and power. I promise you will love it!
you are the best thanks so much
@@MiaintheMoment I am the best…but thank you for acknowledging that 😁
Slipknot is a great band.
If you want to react to more Slipknot I'd recommend the following:
Wait and Bleed - The single from their first and self titled album, and one of my personal favorite of their songs.
The entire show is worth watching, but if you only watch one thing from it watch Snuff.
thanks for giving me and the other commenters so much information!!
Slipknot is some of the best music layering metal out there ... I live in an apt so I love to listen to it LOUD in the car .... the definition of drive angry ... LOL. For another good layered song that has harsh / clean vocals try "In Due Time" by Killswitch Engage ... it also has a great message in the lyrics.
love the suggestion i will put that on my list
I'm a fan. Sorry for the long comment, btw.
thanks so much for this comment 💜
@MiaintheMoment No problem. The Deftones track I think will be a real winner for you musically. It's got this groovy bass line that really sets the tone, with some almost eerie sounds in the background, and Chino their singer has such a unique voice. The lyrics sometimes are a bit dark, but they got good somgs to warm people up to the metal genre. Thanks for the reply. Always love YT who really engage with their fanbase. Hope you're having a great evening, and look forward to more content!
Wait till she goes down the Babymetal route.
im going to do it !
Hey, Mia! First time channel viewer and wanted to give a thoughtful answer to a really good question many people ask the first time they hear Slipknot "What makes you want to listen to this music?"
There's 3 main times Slipknot is perfect for I'll touch on briefly:
Working out - If you want to feel like you can run through a wall, listen to 3 or 4 songs from the Iowa album in a row.
I hope you check out more of their songs and look forward to hanging out on the journey!
such a great analysis of thinking. you really exceeded my expectations on what a good comment is. thanks for all that
@@MiaintheMoment You're very welcome!
2:09 Um, yes..
3:00 Yes, same guy, Corey Taylor. He sings and does some rapping.
4:28 WHENEVER, can be doing ANYTHING and be in ANY MOOD.
This is not "screamo stuff" lol
enjoyed the reaction👍
