4:37 After discovering the Traditional Latin Mass, I’ve become more engaged in my Catholic faith. Yes, the Novus Ordo mass is indeed still valid. but the TLM is better in a way.
1:13 Dude missed a real keeper, and she will probably wonder where all the "good men" are later on. I'd love to be called "king" by someone who loves me, but this king serves the King _of Kings._
While we are not papists, that last one really hits home. That last one has always been my parents' mindset, doubly so because my father, while never an alcoholic, used to drink for the purpose of getting drunk, then go for the weekday sober. I am not as enthused about church as my parents are- they never miss a Sunday and they go on Wednesdays too -but I still go to church about forty weeks out of the year. I have _never_ regretted going to church!
Yea, it's an important concept to pass down to our boys especially with the normalization of shacking up in apps. You could look into becoming a papist 😉
@@TurtleShroom3 The bible needs an authority to be interpreted, it is a product of the Church, not the other way around. Orthodoxy split away after the Council of Florence, where they were there and signed. @@Memewhile321 1. God is the authority, not man's concordance, and anything not explicitly supported by Scripture as interpreted with originalist context is non-binding. It can certainly exist and is not automatically a sin, but not so with infallibility. The Church is the product of Jesus, and it is on Peter's confession of faith in the Divinity and Messiah-ship of the Christ that she rests. It rests on no man except Jesus. The Bible is the infallible Word of God and its original manuscripts were inerrant, as penned by the Church Fathers under Divine Inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is not and cannot be subject to an institution or authority, let alone a single man, that contorts its interpretation _and_ has the power to enforce that interpretation downwards, excluding non-negotiable, "closed-handed doctrines" like the Nicene Creed, Holy Trinity, Divinity of Jesus, God the Son not being a created Being (co-eternal and co-equal), and so on. The last time a Plurality of Elders with authority from the Holy Spirit was called was the Nicene Councils, and the Nicene Creed as man's final provision on which all binding Christian doctrine rests. An example of why Sola Scripture matters is the addition of the Filoque, which is not Scriptural. 2/3. The Pope will and obviously does claim himself as the final arbiter, and Pope Gregory's own testament to his authority is biased. The Orthodox Church correctly rejects this in favor of the Plurality of Elders. I go further in terms of autocephaly: all individuals serving as Overseers/Bishops under the Sacrament of the Holy Orders are equals and have the authority to Bind and Loose. A Bishop/Overseer is First Among Equals with the immediate Deacons and Elders of his church, of which the Eldership governs ecclesiastical affairs with the Overseer, each man getting a vote. Any authority over an individual church's Overseer/Bishop is a voluntary association. 4. I know. That's why I am not Catholic or Orthodox. 5. Concerning Penance and its readmission of Church membership, the man seeking Penance is to be trusted in his demonstration of a desire to be restored for fellowship. There was a man in my congregation, centuries ago, who was excommunicated thirty times, all for drunkenness, and he was restored each time. Other than these, my stances on the Blessed Virgin, on kissing and crowning statues, and so on stand. Likewise, there is no Purgatory. Side-note: I am Southern Baptist and the only thing I disagree with my church on outright is the nature of the Lord's Supper. Baptists believe in Memorialism, which I consider fundamentally wrong. I myself believe in a Divine Presence in the Bread and Wine in the form of Consubstantiation, but I am willing to consider Transubstantiation if it could be argued from the Bible.

Merry Christmas! It’s close to midnight where I am and according to tradition, that’s the time Christ was born. Perhaps we could stop for a moment when that happens.
Merry Christmas. No other god ever incarnated as a mere mortal, even if the local corrupt establishment of that time did not murder Him, He would've died like all of us. One can't help but imagine what wonderful world we'd be living in now if they didn't kill Him, afterall they did and it lead to unprecedented peace, enlightenment and prosperity worldwide. The worse of mankind condensed in one unforgivable crime, and He whom is the source of all of reality forgave us all fallen souls. Christ is Lord, this coming from a non-religious and non-Christian one.
You are not a sinner who isn’t worthy. You are child of God, He made you in His image. You are the most beautiful and wonderful of all God’s creations. Only Satan wants you to think you are not worthy.
I'll bring the popcorn. I've had a surprisingly high number of Orthodox commenting throughout the videos. I wouldn't be surprised for one to respond to this.
