A bit odd to constantly refer back to the greed of covid era watch selling/buying when you more than had your own hands dirty doing the exact same thing.
Amazing video, congrats to all involved. The production quality is taking things to a new level. Absolutely loved the Franck Muller section - fascinating stuff! Hope you are all well!
This video tells a story……… but not one that needs telling. Opulence, hype, art, pomposity and just how much of a complete waste of real time people spend on things that have no real purpose. Complete proof on how society obsesses on everything that doesn’t matter. When you’re taking your final breath, are you staring down at your wrist marvelling at a peace of metal, or staring at your loved ones wishing you hadn’t wasted your life stroking the ego of people who dedicate their lives to “Design”. At what point do people realise that they’re wasting their lives? Time is time…… it can’t be changed, it can’t be reengineered, developing new ways to see it is a pointless. It’s a waste of life. This video proves this in spades. I’ve realised after watching this that after 20 years of collecting, I will be selling my exceptional collection…….. because I’ve wasted my life on something so completely pointless. Makes you realise what a disgustingly arrogant and self serving industry we contribute to. What a waste of life this has been. I hope I’m still alive when the hype train, along with the abhorrent and moralistically corrupt fashion industry collapse and companies like these crumble. The world doesn’t need this anymore.
When my 83 year old mother took her last breath, I stared at her knowing she never cared about what really matters to me, which was her greatest gift to me, the knowledge that no one cares about you on a deep level. But making material things and continually getting better at it and sharing it with the world is a beautiful part of humanity. Going to an upscale mall and seeing all the upscale fashion and high-end watches is inspiring to me, and motivates me to appreciate and strive for a better life and not just merely existing. Oh, thanks mom for your inheritance, through which she unknowingly gave me the gift for me to be able buy and enjoy high-end watches.
542,634 screws in a box. Things like that made me realize something I've never heard discussed. In-house manufacturing is great, but seeing many of the same parts at the same time makes it feel like mass production. Point is, go to an AD watch store and there are hundreds of watches on display, but only one of each watch is on display in the entire store, giving the illusion that a particular watch is special and the only one, increasing the desirability. You never see ten or more of the same watch displayed next to each other because that makes the watch less unique and less desirable and customers less likely to buy the watch.
You wore a Jacob to W&W😂 Oh my. Next time wear a FP Journe, Bovet or something at that level. Everyone serious in watchmaking knows Jacob is a joke 😂😂😂😂
so many watch companies make watches just for show but are not practical to tell the time just art like if you're going to have a watch try and tell the time
Great video, for every person who asks why these watches costs so much they should watch this as educational purpose. You nailed it, top notch from production, idea, every detail!
Your hot take is absolutely wrong. That’s like saying, Mercedes and Porsche will be out shinned by these new manufacturers. Sorry carbon is an epoxy based material which is PLASTIC SO IF 80% of your cases FAIL who cares it’s PLASTIC not GOLD😅 In the end you will still pay a premium o and btw those machines run 24/7 and don’t take dinner breaks 😮
good video, but not my my taste of coffé, i like the drama inside the company with you adrain and all the employes, love watches but no Anna, no big papah, No Jewery. this new brands and so on dont make my heart beat.. but love the show..
Take consideration into the amount of people that get to see all of this on very rare occasions. Once in a while is great to see the ins and out of a company ❤
What a great video. Two upsides to it: First, many wonderfull watches, and not a Rolex in sight. Second, and far more important - no Adrian and his grind pep talk.
That watch made by the young lady is absolutely beautiful.

Why not buy Trump's watch since you bought his sneakers?
for the low, low price of $100K

but Jacob fits Roman's style aesthetic to a T. Perfectly suited for the clothes he wears.

Porche you will never know because of private ownership. But Mercedes is and has been hurting. Just look at their public filings.

Agreed
That’s lame, you’d rather see drama than ACTUAL watch content 🤦🏼♂️
