- Oh boy we got some good battles in this one. The competency on the ladder is slowly rising as the presidents storm through the 1500s in this episode. Obama drops some super high IQ information about understanding the percentages on the showdex extension and how they give a lot more information than you think, so make sure you stay to the end to hear that.

I noticed that too I’m not really sure what happened honestly. I had to redo the ladder twice to get back to where we were with a similar record after the previous account got banned. As of now there hasn’t been any suspicious activity besides that haha. But truthfully, if I have an episode where I just lose 4 battles in a row, I very well might reset the account and get back to where I was and redo the episode again. It would save me time. But I haven’t had to worry about that just yet.
@@Dylxan327 I can understand that from a narrative viewpoint it would suck to stagnate at some ELO, at the same time I think nobody expects you to only win all the time.
Also it would be kinda funny to see the bois trying to explain 4 losses in a row.

I actually rewatched some of my first episodes of both the showdown series and the emerald series, and I quickly noticed a lot of things I would change in their conversation quality and jokes. So I definitely am trying to improve on those. Although that all being said, I'm DEFINITELY gonna have to get better at showdown too lmao.

To be honest, my "Stone Miss" would probably be Fire Blast and Hydro Pump. I always like to run Flamethrower and Surf/Scald because they always miss for me, probably because they're useful as reliable damage, but you obviously need the higher damage on wallbreakers and tanks that can sit around and eat up a few miss turns. On the other hand, I feel like Stone Edge and Focus Blast almost always hit for me, I swear for the longest time I thought they were 90% accuracy moves. The truth is it's mostly our biases and hopes that affect our perceptions of when we hit and miss, kind of like what I was explaining earlier with Fire Blast and Hydro Pump. If you actually recorded it, it's probably accurate to the RNG numbers, so it's really all in our head.
It's almost funny whenever my opponents confidently click (and hit) Focus Blast even though it's overall unnecessary and missing would put them in an awful position. I rarely even run it bc I only click it when I absolutely have to and even then, I just miss anyway. That is until I put a Blunder Policy on my mon and they never miss a move again.
My "Stone Miss moves" have to be Drill Run and Air Slash. 95% accurate but I always seem to miss when I need them most or the opponent switches in recklessly
nah nah nah we don't need to talk about biases and actual statistics. Stone edge is 50% accurate I will appease no mathematical discussion.

Hurricane and Air Slash seems to land for me when I use my flying dragons like Noivern and Dragonite

My miss move is hydro pump and heat wave- I never miss fire blast or rock slide strangely, but heat wave is a guaranteed miss for me lol
oh heat wave is something else. I feel like I've been pretty lucky with hydro pump but heat wave yeah, 75% accurate at best.

I get that it has especially low accuracy, but Thunder hits about 20% of the time for me
Use rain dance or a mon with the drizzle ability. Thunder hits 100% of the time in the rain.

how does it show how much damage you do when you hover over the move? i hate when i think a move will do a lot but it ends up doing nothing 😭
The google chrome showdown extension actually took off the damage calc ranges. Not sure why, maybe the creator is trying to fix it because it was unreliable.
But if you want to use the extension that I had during this episode, just google Pokémon showdown advanced tooltip. I think all the extensions only work on chrome

ooh aqua tail underrated choice here. I have lost a gyarados in a nuzlocke because I missed an aqua tail and got crit through intimidate by a rock slide.

The one move that I always miss during important battles is rock slide. Fun fact actually all physical rock moves are not 100% accurate.

Hypnosis..... I feel like I never get a good hit with it and somehow will miss the move 3-4 times in a row. Also stone edge... never hits

The moves that I miss the most are Focus miss, Stone miss and Thunder. I swear to god Focus blast is not 70% accurate at all. Shit is rigged.

It's hard to get mad at moves like focus blast or thunder haha. I never expect them to hit in the first place. Stone edge tho makes me mad. No way is that shit a 4 in 5 chance.

Hydro Pump too, on the same Pokémon Lugia lol. I usually run psychic, Aeroblast, blizzard, and hydro pump on my Lugia. But even if I use hydro pump on like a vaporeon or a lapras I still miss. I know it’s 80% accuracy but still it shouldn’t miss more than half the time
