An obstacle detection level crossing located next to Pevensey Bay Station, a sparsely-served station in the Pevensey area. This level crossing is located on the busy A259, and for a period of time was the only obstacle detection level crossing in the country with halogen lights, though these have now long-gone as the current LED wigwags were installed in late 2019. The obstacle detection system was installed here during re-signalling in 2015, with the level crossing's array of protective equipment then un-touched until the halogen wigwags were replaced.
There are two rather quiet and old-looking alarms at this level crossing, and both of these are located on the side of the road closest to the station platforms. Despite the wigwag renewal, the four barriers here have not been renewed for years, and each strikes the floor when it lowers. The track crosses the road here at quite an angle, so this is a rather long level crossing given that it only has two tracks going through it.
Thanks to the very kind bus driver who stopped short to avoid blocking my shot of the first lowering!
    Thanks for watching!
