- After it's confirmed that Leland Stottlemeyer's fiance has gotten cold feet, Monk sets out to solve the case of the person who had their heart set on ruining Stottlemeyer's wedding day.
Season 8, Episode 13 "Mr Monk Is the Best Man": Stottlemeyer asks Monk to be the best man for his upcoming wedding (and regrets having him plan the bachelor party) but his bride is having second thoughts after someone repeatedly attempts to sabotage the ceremony.

Monk Synopsis: Adrian Monk (Emmy®-winner Tony Shalhoub) was once a rising star with the San Francisco Police Department, legendary for using unconventional means to solve the department's most baffling cases. But after the tragic and still-unsolved murder of his wife, Trudy, the devastated Monk becomes obsessive-compulsive. His psychological disorder has caused him to develop an abnormal fear of virtually everything: germs, heights, crowds... even milk. Monk's condition costs him his job, but he's back as a police consultant despite the unique challenges he encounters in his everyday life. These challenges lead Monk to hire a personal nurse, Sharona Fleming (Bitty Schram), who is always there to offer her assistance, even with the simplest of tasks (like organizing his sock drawer). Her less-than-subtle prodding keeps the "defective detective" on track in his investigations, as well as in his efforts to convince Captain Stottlemeyer (Ted Levine) to allow him to return to the force.

My sister once caught a guy shoplifting hats from the store where she worked in a mall. Of course, getting caught meant he lost the entire haul he'd stolen before reaching her store, including much more expensive stuff from the Apple store! Some people don't know when to quit...
@@juliav.mcclelland2415 same thing happened to me a couple of times. i tried to talk to the guy at the bar, but accidentally hit the "steal" button, RIGHT IN FRONT OF WITNESSES! the imperial guards took all my loot, but, at least they gave me back the stuff i bought, and they couldn't take my quest items.

At least he got a happy ending. Wasn't the wedding he planned, but it doesn't matter in the long run. Glad T.K. listened to Natalie instead of her "friend".

One thing I always wish they did differently was monk found out what happened to Natalie's husband. Her first episode she said he was shot down and they never found his body. Dead or alive I always thought monk would have gotten some info and told her what happened to him.
Wasn’t he on deployment in another country though? How would he have gotten there to investigate? Also it was probably in a war zone which there is no way monk would go into.
@@rebeccathegreat8110 you're forgetting the episode where someone kept stealing his newspaper and he solved a murder in France by reading 1 article about it. He wouldn't have to go there, he could have read some reports and figured it out from that.

I know it’s dumb
She probably was gambling on it to try and make sure they could get out of there quickly. She’d either scare them into coming, or kill them each in cold blood, and then get out.
Of course it was a dumb decision, but she just wanted this to be over. Leland could probably recognize the frustration building in her, and wanted to coax her into firing the only bullet she had. After all, it was the only one he hadn’t been able to snatch. So frustrating her into hurrying things along by firing a shot to prove her point was key; all because Monk can be frustrating to work with in situations like these.
That whole episode was full of contrived deus exes, culminating in the clip falling out of the gun, because the plot needed the arrest to be made before the end of the episode.
She took the bait just like Will Farrell's "desk pop" in The Other Guys
For being an Avenger, Stephanie should’ve known the weight of an unloaded gun.

I was 100 % percent sure thаt she was gonna pull off a gun. All momets in the show happens like this.
It's the biggest cliche in police procedurals. Once the criminal realizes they cannot lie their way out of being arrested, they pull the gun.

Why would she draw such attention to herself by shooting a gun in the air in front of a POLICE STATION?! I do love a happy ending though.

It's so stupid. That woman almost destroyed her best friends wedding to get back a gun that connects her to a murder? Why didn't she just take the gun without Stottlemeyers knowledge or sneak into the office and take it?
It's a police station. Kind of hard to sneak into the captain's office unobserved.

So if the Captain knew there was a gun inside the bag and removed the clip from it, was he not suspicious before she pulled it out of the bag?
He didn't if you watch the scene where he is walking with the bag you can see him look at it then lower his hand to feel the bottom of the bag he then realized the magazine had fell out and the only bullet left would be the one in the chamber.

Another episode I’ve never seen
Does this series have a physical blu-ray release box set? I cant find evidence of it online.
I know the first season exists but the other seasons look photoshopped which makes me think they're just digital keys, not real physical editions.
