Yup, the second part especially ( 4:37 ) is honestly one of the best opening for a second phase battle you could ask for. The way it pop up crank up the epicness to 200% and really give another feel to the fight. Personatly, that's with that music that I actually enjoyed the fight.
I never noticed it until you pointed this out. Be very interested if/when they do an VIII remake, if they include this track. I personally would like it involved as this is absolutely epic, possibly even rivalling "The Extreme" as one of the best tracks of the FF universe. Think for some really bizarre reason, it would suit as Seifer's battle theme.
I won't lie, at first that whole sequence was kind of interesting but I wasn't really in. Then this boss arrive and I was like "God damn it... A filler boss." First phase was kind of boring and frustrating... Then come freaking 4:38. The whole tone of the battle changed, I was sitting there, with the game in slow-mo just getting curious about the music. I could feel something getting built-up and I didn't wanted to miss it. So I wait, I wait, while Cloud is getting in his pose like the badass he is... And 5:14 happen. 45 seconds of build up and my ears were about to have an eargasm. Since then, that boss is a favorite of mine. Kind of show of a music can make a fight either the best, or the worst.
This is where it starts. What I mean is where the game starts to show bosses that can one hit knock out / one hit kill you (OHKO) or as known as instant death. This boss is the very first unless I forgot some earlier boss that can instant death you. I remember it as the start since it happened to me a lot on my first playthrough.
Yup this guy and Eligor the next boss in this chapter they are insane on hard mode 😂 I just arrived to this chapter yesterday and become afraid of facing Sephiroth on hard mode 😂
