I remember attempting the demo for this game in 2020 and i hated it. Just couldn't wrap my head around why someone would find the gameplay fun. Fast forward to today, Jan 5th 2025 and i just rolled credits on this awesome title!! Im now a final fantasy fan!! The story was pretty confusing at the end but im sure it starts to make more sense in rebirth. Anyways i had a blast overall and im glad i gave this game/genre another honest try!

Seeing your favourite game of all time be remade, fighting through a very memorable sequence, and being teased with this new OST? You understand that it's a remake, it's modern, so it's not that really a big of a deal, but it still pluck a few heartstrings. And when that music hits at the crux of the sequence, the most memorable of all where it's the first time you see a cinematic sequence WHILE INGAME, like it's a movie, it's just so damn perfect. The composer knew perfectly well how important and epic that would've been for the OG fans.

Love how they use the regular battle leitmotif at the beginning of the fight, when it seems not that hard, and then once it becomes *the Hell House* the leitmotif changes to the boss theme

This touches all the strings evoked in the original in a beautifully orchestrated modernday take to truly capture your heart with nostalgia and sprinkles of magic which the original was full of as a kid playing it on the ps2 when i didnt have a memory card to save... i remember one summer day i dedicated the entire day to playing ff7 and when i finally made it out of Midgar, I found myself at the Kalm cutscene and after finally getting past clouds backstory i realized that i truly couldnt go any further (was my brothers ps) and thus i ended things there. The scene before this has a song as well. It sounds like the Avalanche theme, but more somber. Just one horn and a piano. What's the name of it? It may just be in the US version

Gotta say, after playing the original, this is one of those instances I have to say I prefer the OG version. There was just spmethin so sinister about not having those stereotypical ambient sounds behind the violins. Also, gotta say, the midi sounds kinda help in establishing the "something's not right" vibe

This all game is a masterpiece, as the classic Psx version. What Square Enix did here was legendary. The only bad thing i see in it is the fact that wehave a lot of narrow corridors, and mandatory side quests to advance in the story. But the game's proposal means it, so... to me, it was perfect. I dont played the Rebirth yet, everyone says it was better than this one here. So... 'cause of this, i'm fleeing of spoilers of everything, even the OSTs. I wanna play it someday blinded for what the game have.

took a while to figure out the moves after a certain point you would just focus on clouds joint movements and press when he stops a bit after that just close your eyes and repeat the pattern then you finally get it was hard af tifas part was easier than clouds but screw that last guy ;C

When you get a little older you start recognizing special moments as they happen. This meeting this song this game, was a special moment. A perfect moment in time. THank you to those who created it and thank you to all of those who also shared it.

Can we give props to the helicopter pilot (no pun intended) for being able to keep up with them flying backwards AND avoiding all those random obstacles.

It was one of the dialogues that made me reflect a lot at the time when I played on PS1, some people's lives are subhuman and unfortunately it's like a train, they can only go as far as the tracks take them. I was 11 years old when I learned about this.

Nobuo Uematsu and Masashi Hamauzu are both genius when it comes to bringing so much emotion and humanity to a scene like this <333

I genuinely thought remake was going to be bad. Then my brother brought it me and by the time I got to this very party in the game I was definitely enjoying myself but this moment this fight with the music I fell so in love I had goosebumps.
