Hi there! I just recently bought a 2005 CLK 55 AMG with 96k miles on it for $3K. It was running before I bought it but now having trouble starting it (I believe I will also have to replace the fuel pump like you did). The exterior is in pretty good shape but the interior is a hot mess. Wish me luck!
There is a schrader valve on the fuel rail. That will tell you if your pump works. Also, I believe yours will have a different pump design than mine. I more common design. I wish you luck.
