Loved the big mirror where it is. Put the chair around the other side of the desk. Bad feng Shui to have your back to the door. Also the light should be coming over your shoulder and illuminating the laptop. Love that chair for the office.
Personally, I would rethink the design. You might want to try turning the desk around so that you face the door! The space will feel more open and you will have better feng shui 😊
Plants have feelings. Moving them and getting used to temp and light in new place is stressful for them.. you should talk to them when you water them saying “hey girl you’re looking leafy today” LOL
The fiddle leaf has edema which happens due to incongruent waterings, mine had gone through that when I first got it but once i got on a good watering schedule, the new leaves came out perfect
I like the desk in the middle of the room like that but maybe you could turn it and your computer around so that when you’re sitting at your chair you can still see out of the room. I just feel like it would seem more open if you were able to look out of the room instead of facing a wall!
Definitely repot the fiddle leaf give it more space . It needs a consistent water schedule they get finicky. I mist all my tropical 🌴 plants once a week too just the leaves try that too with them they like humility
The fig needs consistency. Light and watering. Water it in the morning so the roots don't rot from being wet all night and so the water can dry up a bit in the sun. Make sure there is drainage in both your nursery pot and the decorative pot it is sitting inside. Make sure your watering is consistent and on a schedule. Brown or yellowing of new leaves may be due to too much water. Yellow mushy leaves mean too much water. Keep an eye out for what the leaves look like when they first appear and that will give you a good idea of how healthy it is. Ps. A monstera would be great for you. I have 6! Lol. Very easy to take care of! ..Sorry for being long winded! Love the vlogs! Been watching you and Megan consistently since 2012! 💕
never face your back towards the door! also take ur time decorating ur bedroom space. i want u to be in love with it first and feel totally comfortable before showing us!
You should keep both the throw pillow and the print. I agree with all of the people suggesting you have your back to the wall behind the desk so you're facing the door.
I’ve watched ALL of your moving vlogs over the years...this series is so exciting for me as I’m moving in a few weeks to my own place for the first time!!! You always give me inspiration 😍
Definitely flip the desk chair around girly and I think the pillow is cute but maybe donate it! And I really like that print it's so pretty and I think you should keep your office colorful 🤔👍
I think you should layer the rugs, keep the desk and chair along the wall they are on but turn them so that they face the doorway, put the grey chair on the corner with the throw pillow and put the shelves on the wall of the main door entrance.
That pillow is cute! And looks like it great condition I would keep but I understand styles change and it’s from 5 years ago .. if don’t keep then sell 🖤🖤
Love all of your videos! Falling back in love with your channel I have been here since your first year on youtube✌🏻 I love the artwork in the office... it has some geometric designs which match the carpet and they’re both so colourful! I personally loved the desk/office setup so far and of course you need the windows in front of you for better lighting! Looks so cute Lindsay!💕
definitely repot your fiddle leaf! when i got mine every thing i read said to immediately repot so to allow for proper growing and a happier overall plant. i repotted it into a regular terra cotta pot for drainage and then have it in a decorative pot. also could be a watering issue as well, depending on how often you water. i only water mine when the soil is completely dry, then i water the entire pot and she seems to be thriving! :)
My fiddle leaf did that same thing end of last year because I was watering it too much. I moved it to a sunnier spot to dry the roots up and now I only water it once a week, if that even. I just stick my finger in the dirt down to the first knuckle and if its dry all the way through I'll water it. Good luck with your plant bebes!
Fiddle leaf fig definitely needs to dry out, get some sunshine, as much indirect as possible. A corner window with lots of sun is a good place for a fiddle inside.. and the entire plant needs to dry out between waterings so when its pretty dry, flush it really heavy with lots of water... make sure pot allows for draining and just repeat that process. Looks like overwatering in the vid.
re the fiddle leaf: it looks like it's getting sun burnt, they dont like really direct sunlight, do more of an indirect light or filtered light. it's too harsh right next to the window!! also water it and then let it get completely dry before watering it again. love the new space :) enjoy!
Definitely need to repot that fiddle leaf fig! Also, try getting some fungus spray and spraying it on those leaves. If it was something like root rot I think it would be affecting all of the leaves. Another thing is when you water your plants make sure that you’re watering them until water is running through the bottom. I water my plants every 2 weeks (that’s just what they need so you would need to do more research) and every time I water I basically soak them until water runs through
Leave the fig in its nursery pot until it has adjusted to the new space and the issue has improved. Truly you don’t need to repot until you see roots coming out of the drainage holes, however for now I would remove it from the white pot and just place it directly on top of the drainage pan so that you can see exactly how much you are watering. Like another said it looks like edema to me as well, which is very common with ficus lyrata. Edema is when it has had too much water to quickly, so water once a week slowly until water pours out from the drainage holes. The edema should visibly resolve with time and the new growth will be normal. Hope that helps! ☺️👍🏻
I would take the mirror and vines out as it isn’t a big enough mirror to put there so looks bedroom like. But if you like the mirror there I would take the vines off as they look kinda tacky :) but loving it so far and the office is awesome!!!! Xx
I preferred the desk where you originally had it.. it doesn’t look right where it is. And as most people are saying, I’d worry that your Mac wouldn’t be supported well if you- or your dogs bump into it.
I think the mirrored shelves would look nice on each side of the big window. And you could move your vision board. I also think the grey chair would look ok in the office by the corner. It could be a little sit down filming spot. Anddd lol I would look into getting a new desk. I think it would look nice to get an updated look. I Pinterest everything, you could get some great ideas. Hope this helps. Love you lindsey ❤️😘
Your office is looking cute so far! Maybe you can put the mirrored shelves on different levels on the wall behind your desk and the grey chair in the corner with a plant.
The print matches the rug, so I would keep it! I agree with the desk facing the other direction. Also, I would move the corner shelves between the doors and put the mirrored shelves on the other wall with a chair in the corner! And you can put that little throw pillow on the corner chair. ☺️
I would re-pot your fiddle leaf into the ceramic pot to give it more room and a more breathable pot. Make sure it doesn't have any pests. One of mine started to look crappy lately, and after looking it over closely discovered it had little tiny bugs living on it. If you find any pest, spray it down with rubbing alcohol and wipe the leaves clean.
Also I wouldn’t put the shelf in the corner as looks a bit out of place and doesn’t match the rest of the vibe :) ya should get some shelves and a nice big cool chair in a corner with a throw
The chair should either go in the corner of the office or upstairs where you have the mirror and just put the mirror in that corner by your closet. Your visual board should go by the office door or on the closet door so you can put your RUclips plaques on each side of the window. The metal shelves should go on the wall they’re leaning against and you should put that cute abstract look art you have on that cart in between it ☺️ I totally think you should get a grayish wood desk especially if you keep the small rug; you could also just sell or use the clear desk as a accent table near the chair, at the bottom of your stairs or even in the hallway near your bedroom and just put a lap on it 😬 Can’t wait to see your bedroom!! Love watching your freckled face self 🥰
Replant that plant! It's suffocating in that pot, you are exactly right! Get probably the largest pot you can find and repot it in that to give it room to grow and flourish!
Music when you were cleaning the office? I’d keep that pillow! You can put it anywhere. I would put the RUclips plaques on the small wall by the window, one on top of eachother.
Love the second rug with the chair! I think a new wood top desk (maybe with black metal legs) would tie in nicely with the three tier stand with the wood shelves. Also give you more workspace. I don't mind the desk where it is except for the cord situation going into the wall, tripping, looks, etc. The framed print looks great with the color scheme as well. Can't wait to see what's next! :D
You should make it so that the chair is back to the wall with the 3 windows and change the way the computer is so that when ur sitting at ur desk ur back is facing the wall with the 3 windows and also mirrored shelves should go in ur entryway wall
I like the acrylic desk! I think wood might look too heavy with the wood floors and small carpet! And I would maybe do the desk against the wall unless you face it the other way and maybe put shelves behind it?
Love your new kitchen lounge area so much brighter and nicer! Love from a long time viewer back in the day in your parents house in your room 😂. Love from Australia!
Red spots of the plant is normal, happens as a plant continues to grow and age, I have plant all over my house and it’s nothing to be concerned about she is thriving 🙏🏻✨
Have you thought about having your desk facing the door instead of your back facing the door.. and bring the arm chair in to sit at the desk. Put the pink chair in the corner for a reading nook
My opinion: Chair facing the door, RUclips places on the small all between the closet door & entry door shelves on the big wall opposite of your windows! Love you & your vids !!!
hang the print above stand and spray paint white., also straighten it on big window wall.....the vision board.needs to be bigger and over dog bed with maybe a big white board......move the desk closer to window........the grey chair might look nice in living room if it fits or. as reading nook in office with small table beside it on entry wall n the right corner...... the silver shelves on left go big window.......one above the other...loads of room for plants...that was fun!!
Also the mirror looks cute there but more practical in your room or closet in case you want to compare different shoes quickly with an outfit or something
You should put your vision board on a bigger wall.. seems weird to leave it in a corner where you can’t really look at it. The shelves are for decor? so they should go on the wall next to the window ...opposite of where you currently have the vision board
I'd recommend putting your desk on the wall with those little window s to fill the space. I also like the idea of the way you have your desk but I don't think it works with the room
yeah I agree with others, I think the desk looked better as you first had it, maybe even with the first rug, the one you have now looks weird to me proportionally with the desk, especially if you get a bigger wooden desk. but at least turn the desk around if you’re going to keep it in that spot
About your fiddle leaf fig! So I got mine 8 months ago in January.... and it all started with one leaf. It went downhill quick. Went from a few brown spots to literally dropping leaves daily. My huge huge huge plant now only has legit 6 leaves. It looks so sad. I ended up repotting and buying food for it and root rot prevention stuff but I’m not sure anything really helped. So my advice is to honestly ask someone who knows them really well before it gets any worse. I feel like I let mine down and I’ll probably end up getting a new one :/
Replant fiddle leaf fig and make sure to not overwater! Water whenever the soil is dry to touch. Also where is the blue gingham with red flowers item you're wearing at the end from? It's so dang cute
I like ether rug in the office! However I think where the desk is facing looks weird. Typically in offices people make the desk /desk chair be facing the door...think it looks odd having the back of the chair facing the door when you walk in!
I would consider getting a bigger table for the office because this one looks weird, it's too small for the room and I feel like it's not safe having a computer on such narrow table especially when it's not against the wall and your have dogs running around. Maybe you can use it in a hallway as a place to put things you need to run out the door (keys, bag etc.).
Lindsey, Put the chair on the other side of the table so you are facing the door and not the wall. Love all your videos!
Try the office chair facing the hall! That way you aren’t starring at a wall.
I think the chair should go in the office so you have extra sitting options in there
this is exactly what I was going to say.
I agree with this!!
Loved the big mirror where it is. Put the chair around the other side of the desk. Bad feng Shui to have your back to the door. Also the light should be coming over your shoulder and illuminating the laptop. Love that chair for the office.
Turn that desk around!!! Back to the door no bueno!
Personally, I would rethink the design. You might want to try turning the desk around so that you face the door! The space will feel more open and you will have better feng shui 😊
I’d recommend taking the vine off of the mirror. It just looks a bit elementary. I would also sell the pillow.
Absolutely loving the way everything is turning out but I straight up do not understand that desk placement 😂
I like the desk in the middle of the room like that but maybe you could turn it and your computer around so that when you’re sitting at your chair you can still see out of the room. I just feel like it would seem more open if you were able to look out of the room instead of facing a wall!
Also, that desk setup made me so anxious. It's too dangerous Lindsey!!!! =(
Definitely repot the fiddle leaf give it more space . It needs a consistent water schedule they get finicky. I mist all my tropical 🌴 plants once a week too just the leaves try that too with them they like humility
Definitely re-pot in a bigger pot. I believe that is the sign of root rot.
The print has the same colors as your throw rug, it’s a keeper😊
Flip the chair to the other side of the desk for sure
The fig needs consistency. Light and watering. Water it in the morning so the roots don't rot from being wet all night and so the water can dry up a bit in the sun. You should keep both the throw pillow and the print. I agree with all of the people suggesting you have your back to the wall behind the desk so you're facing the door.
The grey chair would look great in the bedroom and I think a bench across the big window in the office with cushions on would look stunning
i clicked soo fast i’m getting obsessed with your moving vlogs and CANT WAIT to see when you’re done with it all
Your new home is so big i love it 😍 definily the chair behine the desk
The mirrored shelves I think would look SO cute up stairs by the mirror but that’s just my opinion 🤷🏼♀️
I’ve watched ALL of your moving vlogs over the years...this series is so exciting for me as I’m moving in a few weeks to my own place for the first time!!! You always give me inspiration 😍
Savannah Fields good luck with your first place! Enjoy the freedom!
Selina O. thank you!!

I kinda liked the bigger rug better in the office!

The print matches the rug, so I would keep it! I agree with the desk facing the other direction. Also, I would move the corner shelves between the doors and put the mirrored shelves on the other wall with a chair in the corner! And you can put that little throw pillow on the corner chair. ☺️

you could put the shelves by that chair in the corner and have a lil chill reading area
and i feel like the trippy print kind of matches the vibes from the rug
Also I wouldn’t put the shelf in the corner as looks a bit out of place and doesn’t match the rest of the vibe :) ya should get some shelves and a nice big cool chair in a corner with a throw

Replant that plant! It's suffocating in that pot, you are exactly right! Get probably the largest pot you can find and repot it in that to give it room to grow and flourish!

I think you should hang some mirrors where the stand up one is at, and move the stand up one to you bedroom
Loving these moving vlogs so much! What a cute new home you’ve got ☺️
I think you should put the shelves in the wall between the two doors!

Red spots of the plant is normal, happens as a plant continues to grow and age, I have plant all over my house and it’s nothing to be concerned about she is thriving 🙏🏻✨
Also fiddles are very picky about where they’re situated. Try not to move it. Once they are in a spot they like they hate to be moved!
I like those two shelves between the two doors on the wall with one a few feet above the other one!

I love getting to see how you put your new apartment together😍 thank youuu!!!!
i would move the mirror to a bedroom and gil that wall it’s on with a large art piece !!!
I think you need a wooden desk against one of the walls. And keep the current desk as a side table
Also the mirror looks cute there but more practical in your room or closet in case you want to compare different shoes quickly with an outfit or something
Chair should go other side of the desk so your back is facing the three windows. Grey chair in the living room, matches your sofa.
Love that pillow! That print is really cute for an office!
The desk needs to go against a wall! Haha. Like the wall you see when you walk in
You should put your vision board on a bigger wall.. seems weird to leave it in a corner where you can’t really look at it. The shelves are for decor? so they should go on the wall next to the window ...opposite of where you currently have the vision board

Loving all the vlogs please keep doing them after the move is over!!😭💘💘
WHERE IS THAT RUG FROM!!! The one under the clear desk and pink chair. Obsessed.
I’d say no to a wooden desk, the clear plastic keeps the room feeling really open and fresh
if you love it and it makes u happy and it makes u feel good being in it then do it! I cant believe we are decorating at the same time!
if you love the picture put it in the office its cute and matches the rug
Replant fiddle leaf fig and make sure to not overwater! Water whenever the soil is dry to touch. Also where is the blue gingham with red flowers item you're wearing at the end from? It's so dang cute
I love the music added in this video!
Mirror might be better in the bedroom😊
I love my moving Kweeeeenn Lucindaaa! 💓💓
I like ether rug in the office! However I think where the desk is facing looks weird. Typically in offices people make the desk /desk chair be facing the door...think it looks odd having the back of the chair facing the door when you walk in!
Keep the plant well watered because of the heat and the strong sun rays.:)
I would consider getting a bigger table for the office because this one looks weird, it's too small for the room and I feel like it's not safe having a computer on such narrow table especially when it's not against the wall and your have dogs running around. Maybe you can use it in a hallway as a place to put things you need to run out the door (keys, bag etc.).
love the setup of your office
love the mirror but think it would be cuter without the leaves on it since you have the plant next to it xx
What if you like corner angling the desk against the two window walls ? Like where your shelf and fan are .
Keep the print in the office because the colours match the rug
I think the fiddle leaf fig has red spider mites-google that phrase (images). I think the mirror would look better in your dressing area space.
Not a fan of the desk. Is that what you had in the old house?
Yeah! Put the chair in the office, or maybe your room
Did ups bring you the tickets on time?
love the moving vlogs
I’m loving these videos!! Your place is coming along great
Omg move the desk against the wall.
This looks soooo good
donate the pillow but keep the print
