I'm so glad that someone else had my same issue. I can never make my curls last more than 2 days. I don't understand how peoples curls be lastin a week and more and I'm a 3c/4a.
I am SO glad to have found this video - this is the first channel I've come across that really speaks to struggles I've had with styling my fine curly hair, and the tips you give totally did the trick! It's my first day trying out the afro pick for big curls and volume, and I have already gotten so many compliments at work! Thank you, Charmsie
Hi Charmsie, first I want to say it makes me really happy (as a white girl) to see all you beautiful black girls finding ways to make your hair look absolutely drop-dead gorgeous!!! I am finding help for myself, too, which is a surprise. I've always had reddish hair with a curl/frizz to it and it was also thin and fine. I've gotten some help with the DevaCurl videos, but my scalp does show through, so I am hoping your tips can help me. Thanks for posting these, I can't imagine all the happy, curly-haired girls/women walking around now! What a gift we've been given with our curly hair!
Nothing beats the feeling of coming across a video that relates to you! I have the same/ very similar hair texture and i often struggled to keep my curls intact and long lasting ( it always ended up falling flat!). As silly as it sounds I often cried and stressed over my hair and couldn't understand why it was so different to everyone elses (they have thicker hair) but yes, understanding what your hair type is and how to style it makes it you appreciate it more! Thanks a bunch!!!
OMG... my hair is the same wau, thin and you can see the scalp when wet; however, when it dries out and curls it's the same way....thank you so much for doing this video.💗
Whenever I shake my hair to get more volume like you do, it only stays for about 5 minutes and then falls down and looks flat again.. So i shake my hair every 2 minutes and everyone thinks i'm crazy :D Does anyone have a tip on how to keep that volume?
I have hair that does just that. Especially since my curls are a but loser. I sometimes use a soft hair gel. It helps for one day but the curls are done for the next day. It's a struggle
This is so refreshing the first person I have come across in decade with similar hair to mine. Thank you so much for sharing much needed advice for ladies with finer hair. Keep the tutorials coming.
My hair looks EXACTLY like yours when its wet. Your hair dnt get that tangled because you dnt have a lot of it fighting with each other was hilarious!!! (Sad but true for me as well) Thanks for the tips!!
Yes!!! The Afro pick has saved my life. I have super fine curly hair too and I’ve struggled since I’ve started but then I found the diffuser and Afro pick. I am so happy!
In the middle of transitioning from major heat damage and It is so hard to find natural hair youtubers with my similar hair type!! so glad to have stumbled upon this video and your channel !
Thank you thank you thank you! My hair is fine and curly and I just realized that is my curls just die after a day or so. Will try to incorporate some of those products and tips. Super excited to do so!
you are a god send! Every video I've watch is for thick curly hair and they use sooo much product. My hair kept looking a mess. I love your video. Thanks!
I have fine curly hair too. It's hard to create volume & prevent frizz. I use the OGX coconut curl cream, the Marc Anthony sulfate free curl products (in small amounts) and definitely a pick to boost my roots! Great video I love it.
Thank you for this! For some reason a lot of curly headed RUclipsrs just think that all curly heads have thick hair but I don’t so this will help me a lot!
My son has fine curly hair which is completely different from my coarse curly/frizzy hair. This looks like it will help me alot with styling his hair. Thank you.
Finally found someone with hair similar to mine. My curls ringlet more but the texture and thickness is the exact same. I struggle with finding products that will tame my frizz, define the curls, without weighing down my hair or making it greasy
Yes finally I found someone with my hair texture I'm black and Mexican so my hair is curly but also gets frizzy I'm happy to see a hair tutorial with my hair type 💖
Look into Trace Minerals for thicker hair. I have hair like yours, just a tad straighter. I started taking this and baby bangs started growing in where I thought I was going bald. My hair is super dry right now. So glad to have found this channel.
Thank god that I found your video. You are the 1 st person that has the exact fine curly hair. When you mentioned that you can see my scalp I knew that you are the one I have to watch. Thank you for making this video. Now I know that I have low-density curls. : )
Can you pleeeease do a video on your makeup routine in this video? it looks so dewy and natural, I love it! And these are some great tips, I think we have pretty similar hair and I'm always looking to get as much volume as humanly possible. : D Time to bust out the pick!
Oh my goood. I finally..found someone...with my hair type and hair density. I really thought there was something wrong with me?? I see everyone here who are like me it makes me happy. The things I hear from you is a lot of the things I do! So I really wasn't doing something wrong with my routine. (: it's just how my hair type is!
When you pick up your hair for volume, does your hair flat down during the day...or does it stay all day long like this ? I'm really struggling to get volume around my roots...
WOW!! What a great video. You should definately do more tutiorials on here. It was so refreshing to see that someone else had the same bun as I do when I pull my curly hair up. It is so fine that I can see my scalp and have to spend tons of time brushing my hair back to cover my scalp. Thank you for all the tips! You are a life saver! (hair saver!)
Thank you so much. This is the first video I have seen for fine, low density curly hair. Definition is not my problem. I have very thin ringlets, which is not the greatest look. Very helpful video.
I subscribed 2 seconds after seeing you hair type!! Finally!! Someone with my hair type! Like exactly the same!! Low density is a struggle! You are amazing thank you!!!
OMG finally someone with hair like mine! After having my girls, the volume became more of an issue than it was when I was younger and before having kids
Love your hair ! Finally got a hair twin ! My hair was like Ayesha's then I started losing my hair. I'm sick to my stomach over this. I've been using oils and they seem to be working . Now I'm going to style and this tutorial is exactly what I needed ! !!!! Your hair is WICKED WILD (to me and so.cal this means fantastically beautiful). Thank you,
Your hair is so beautiful! I love how you maintain and take care of your hair, so amazing and helpful for those with similar fine hair ❤️ Thanks for the recommendations but those do have silicon :( do you recommend any leave ins that are silicon free that are great for fine hair?
You're pretty much guaranteed no silicones with SheaMoisture products. Heavy stuff so use sparingly. Also Kinky Curly Knot Today has so no silicones in it too. A leave in and detangler. Pricey but I water it down and it works great.
Thank you so much! My hair is also fine, thin, and curly and I've been looking for tips just like these! I'm buying all of those products and getting myself an afro pick!
You are so beautiful! I've been Working on my curls for a few weeks now & I just love finding videos of curly hair like this. Also I keep reading I need a pick for curls but I never knew how to use one even after I bought one so I'm glad you explained the "lift at the root" part because I was just poking my scalp with it haha. Loved the video, thanks!
You are a godsend!! And freakin' gorgeous. Can't wait to try some of your (new to me) tips!! (My profile pic was salon straightened hair but you're helping me add the word "low density" to what I know to be fine, thin curly hair.)
THANK YOU so much for your video! I have been looking for tips for fine, thin curly hair. I have 3a curls so trying to make my hair look full has always been a problem. I went out and bought a pick and it really made a difference. Only thing is that cuz I have 3a curls after a while it will lose that voluminous look so I do have to use a little bit of hairspray to give my hair some texture to hold the volume. Thanks again for the tips!
So glad I found your channel! My hair is the same "type" as yours, very similar, very low density and thin, a little bit longer, and I color it in blonde. Only recently have I started to work with it. Before that I would just put it in a ponytail, which made the curls become stretched and disappear. But now I want to show off my curls and pump up volume as much as it is even possible with my hair. I watched your video(s) and i'm getting there. Still not fluffy enough, but I'll learn the "technique". I'll continue following you!
i am experiencing tension allopecia due to all the tight hair extensions i wore for almost 15 years. now, i am done with extensions. i have fine curly hair, my hairline is the one most affected. i loved your tutorial, it really helped me withwhat products to use and how to use them. my question is: what do i tell the hairstylist to how to cut my hair? i need layers!!! lots of layers for volume!!! is that all i need to say? i am so afraid to go to a hair salon!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have fallen into some bad habits, including using my hands to build volume from my roots even though I HAVE a pick and I know what it's for. Also a great reminder to natural dry... I have been hurrying things along with a diffuser event though I have plenty of time in the morning to natural dry! YOU ROCK!
Just started watching and your hair is exactly the same as mine.. Same texture and curls. I am excited to watch this. I miss having some 'oooomph' in my hair 😃😃
Love the video! Super awesome to see someone with similar hair! I used to use the 3 minute miracle too but it has a lot of silicones. Once I replaced it with a silicone free deep conditioner and I have way more volume
I absolutely love your channel!!! Keep up the great work. I had to subscribe. I finally found someone who I can relate to with the same hair texture. You are my savior lol.
i have the same type of hair like you in this video. omg i always look like i have a bald spot in the middle of head and its so annoying, however i think you tips on this video are great. Thanks
Love your lip color in this video! 🙂 The pineapple style works for volume (for me) but I’ve heard that always putting it up at night can be bad for tension on the hair, at the crown.
Hello thanks for sharing your. Videos. Your hair is gorgeous. Love the color. My curls aren't as tight as yours but Id love that hair style. What color lipstick were you wearing in this tutorial love it love it
Very pretty I have hair just like you. My problem is that I use too much product in my hair and it'll look very flat so for now on I'll use a little bit
Great video! Thank you for posting. I have similar hair type to yours and appreciate the tips! I will be looking at other videos you have here to learn more.
Yes! Finally finding tutorials with fine curly hair. The struggle for volume is such a task. I often pin my hair down.
Violet 2uesdae What do you mean you pin your hair down?
Whois DejaLynn Roll and Tuck for natural hair. That style requires a lot of bobby pins.
I know right
I know, especially at the top of my head where it tends to be straightest rather than ringlets coming straight from my scalp
Vibrant 2uesdae I have almost the same problem no volume I will buy that pick soon
Finally a RUclipsr who has THIN curly hair that can show me a routine thank you so much God bless your tips are so helpful💗
Finally! I find someone with my curly hair type! Excited to try your tips! Thx!
You have no idea how much I appreciate your videos for us "low density" curly hair folks !
To think that I was the only mixed girl with curly hair that was fine!!! Such a relief to know that I'm not alone
I'm so glad that someone else had my same issue. I can never make my curls last more than 2 days. I don't understand how peoples curls be lastin a week and more and I'm a 3c/4a.
Low density ! I have never heard that before. That perfectly explains my hair! Thank you so much for this tutorial
Taja Sumpter the pick is LIFE!! And she's totally right about shaking the hair at the roots. Makes my hair almost triple in size
Hi Charmsie, first I want to say it makes me really happy (as a white girl) to see all you beautiful black girls finding ways to make your hair look absolutely drop-dead gorgeous!!! Omg you are the curl guru I've been looking for! We have the same curly/ thin hair texture and I need help with my curl definition!
kimeek16 I know right. I totally feel the same way.
Me too🙀😳
What a difference a pick and defuser makes! I love the final look.
See I know I wasn't crazy my curls are fine too and I can't get many days out of my curls
Same!!!!
omg same
Same! Except I have high density and fine so it adds another world of "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" if I do a wash hand go.
OMG...
my hair is the same wau, thin and you can see the scalp when wet; however, when it dries out and curls it's the same way....thank you so much for doing this video.💗

She is just too beautiful for no reason 😫💥⭐️❤️
Thank you for this! For some reason a lot of curly headed RUclipsrs just think that all curly heads have thick hair but I don’t so this will help me a lot!
We have totally different curl patterns but I just sat and watched this entire video because your curls are SO BEAUTIFUL.
Finally someone with my exact hair type haha why did I never think of searching for fine 3b/3c hair I'm stoopid
My curly are fine and it’s unbelievable.. I’m so grateful that I stumbled on this video
So helpful❤️❤️
Wow, that's crazy how your hair goes from so thing to so voluminous 😍 you and your hair are stunning!
