It just so happens that my Bernina model 930 does not have any screws at all on the metal plate where the light switch is. So how do I get it off? I need to see the presser foot lifter because it is not going up to raise the presser foot. It's is hanging up on something.
I cannot figure out how to get to the place where to do a direct post. It's terribly confusing. I joined on patrion but now I can't seem to get anywhere. I'm done trying to mess with it. Going to end my membership.@@sewingmachinetipsandtricks9079
I am the original of a Bernina 930. I have a couple of problems. If I don't hold the thread when I start to stitch, it will always create a thread nest on the bottom of the fabric. The other problem is the thread will drop off of the thread take up lever and then does not sew any further because the thread has created a nest on the bottom of the fabric. The machine was serviced at the beginning of this year. The service tech suggested I was not using the correct thread, so I changed to a Superior brand 50 weight. But the problem persisted. Do you think there is an easy solution? I know it may be hard to diagnose if you don't see the problem happening, but maybe there is an easy solution.

How do I end my membership
11:18 NO! Not a Dremel! Just use a fine stone and stone it. Just takes a few swipes. A Dremel is overkill.
Otherwise, great video!
