Can you do another video showing details of all the oiling points?
For someone who doesn't do this often, the oiling points are not as obvious as suggested in the video.
I'd greatly appreciate it. Trying to oil my mother's 1030.
    Thx. 🙂

Bernina lover and repair diva of the 900 series.
Hmm, I thought this 1030 and the 1100 series were best left to the professionals, since there isn't a separat top lid, I but believe we too can do this!
Same thought here, pity we weren't shown the complete oiling points, while the machine was open.
I recommend getting the 'Service manual Bernina 1030', google it. But the pictures aren't always great, that's why these videos are gold!
Always disconnect the machine before opening the side and back!
The rule in my book is; if it moves, it needs oiling! Turn the wheel by hand to see the movements.
Look for the obvious oiling holes, and steelbars or other moving parts to and from, or passing through something.
If a small drop of oil is astrayed in the mecanical section, it shouldn't matter much. But, keep the oil away from the electronic section!
I would also have loved to have the 1-2 flat pcs 1/4'' by 1'' identical whatstheirnames pointed out.
They might explode when worn out, after these decades. Better prevent such damage, by changing them before it happens. 🤎

Hi! I have one of these. The stitch length knob sets back to 0 mm when released. I feel tension in the knob, but it is really annoying when sewing. Do you have any idea what the issue might be?
