I am not a finance person, I don’t understand most of the technical stuff discuss here, but I could listen to Cliff talk for hours. It is funny how enthralling these guests are on TCAF. It’s so good I had to comment.
As a NYC Firefighter , I greatly appreciate your pods. You guys talk bluntly and in an Everyday Joe speak which furthers my financial /investing knowledge. I thank you for this mix of humor and insight Josh & Co. 🙏🏼
I have said it before and I’ll say it again- The best part of the show is the beginning portion prior to starting the show’s introduction! Always the best conversations ! True story !
@@dominicn No one said that that Saylor was an idiot or that they hated him. Asness said that what Saylor said in the clip was dumb, because it simply was. I think that even Saylor knows that what he said was dumb, but saying something that wasn't dumb probably wasn't his intention.
Josh can we get a Crypto guy on here for once?? Even Pomp would be a great guest and help you and all your 8% a year listeners get wealthy before they are 60
This show is awesome. I went to work on Wall Street (literally - 45 Wall Street, corner of Wall and William, I think it's condo's now) at US Trust in June of 1989, so I'm in my 36th year in the investment business. So many of your guests take me back to my early days and great memories of downtown, the Seaport, and cold $1 glass bottles of beer on my Staten Island Ferry ride home. I listen to every episode because you strike the perfect balance of providing timely insights and excellent data with a healthy dose of quintessential NYC humor. I tell everyone I know to tune in. There is only one small thing you could do to make the show better....stop bleeping out the F-Bombs! LOL! Thanks for what you do!
Can’t understand what Josh sees in Batnik. And to buy him an expensive watch … why. He hangs around in jeans and tees. He doesn’t add anything to the shows IMHO
I love all of the back stories and gossip related to Eugene Fama and Mr French. Is there an episode where momentum gets talked about in greater detail?
'i dont know the current price of nividia'.....he says, not sure how serious i can take this guy, but its an entertaining gag reel , who else is hanging around for josh b4 TG break?
Thanks for the breakdown! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
@ Honestly i’ve heard some of the worst takes about MSTR the past week from seemingly super smart investment people. If you don’t think what they are doing is sustainable, ok I get that, but people calling it a ponzi doesn’t know what a ponzi is. Saylor isn’t promising any returns, or hiding what he is doing. He is open and honest about the strategy, and you either believe it will keep working, and invest, or not.
@@WallStMario Cliff is definitely a smart guy just like Michael Saylor. The problem is people like to talk xxxt about something they don't know. He says he has not studied Bitcoin, then why not just say you don't know and shut your mouth.🤣
Saylor is running circles around these old out of touch dudes.. you dont even know what he means? Exactly, just keep getting crushed by MSTR and maybe one day you’ll do the HW
This guy says Saylor is doing something that makes no sense but hasn’t done a deep dive on crypto…so how can he say that if he doesn’t fully understand bitcoin? Sound like this guy doesn’t understand what he he is talking about in regards to Saylor.
While I agree that MSTR only deserves this valuation based on the premium it gets from implied volatility, comparing Saylor to some dude that won the lottery is such a poor statement. He made a calculated investment that paid off, so there is some meat on the bones when it comes to his advice. It shows how traditional investment managers are so indulged in their own interpretation of the world that anything that is unorthodox is dismissed as trash. The fact that 90% of these funds trail the passive index is not really a surprise. As for MSTR, the IV premium will come down when BTC matures and it will eventually trade at a lower premium to the BTC value on its books. But it won't matter if BTC returns continue to be massive.
Is it possible that a passing of the new Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Gov bill next year (2025), could cause a massive selloff of the US stock market as everyone wants a bit of bitcoin action?
Old men just don´t get it. MSTR is a glitch in the regulatory system. It gives access to Bitcoin for investors otherwise cut off from buying Crypto. That in itself i worth a lot for those investors. When they change accounting principals next year, any move in their BTC holdings is considered earnings....Then Old men can apply their WACC or DCF models and figure out the value. What is the value of a stock with earnings growth of 25-40% per year?
Comparing what Saylor has done is like buying lottery tickets is just ridiculous. Great episode, but if you're not actually going to take the time to learn about Bitcoin or MSTR just stay in your lane as you told Kevin about comics.
Bitcoin is not a lottery. His thesis has a false assumption. One that Michael Saylor is on the opposite side of “I haven’t a deep dive into crypto” Maybe you should before you run your mouth on a trade

That clip they played was case in point.
Hating Saylor isn't wise

Quality Guest. Thanks for a great show.
Hands down one of your best guests! Thank you so much for doing this show!!
The most fire intro ever 😂😂😂😂 Batnick "We gon start the show" .... Cliff "What the hell have we been doing?"
Yes I think you guys should just start the show right away.
Fantastic episode. Wish it was 3 hours! You could tell he wanted to stay longer.

Good episode. Definitely one of the best of the year. Any chance you guys could get Brad Gerstner as a guest?
I've been watching TCAF for years and this is the smartest guest I've listened to so far.
And his easily the dumbest guest I've heard with his 1950s conventional thinking. His gonna get run over by many stocks like MSTR in the future.
Gentlemen you guys need to invite Michael Salor as well
My favourite episode in recent memory, as a student in Msc. financial Economics
Wow, this one went deep, very good
If I had Batnick staring at me like that for 90 mins straight, I'd jump out the window
😂😂😂

friday again??
time for *TCAF* 📈🇺🇸
Cliff is amazing. I love that guy!!!
A true intellectual. I was put off by his ascerbic tone on Twitter but this changed my mind.
OMG they got Cliff. Legendary.
But can’t or won’t talk about particular stocks and doesn’t even know the the price of nvdia Hhhmmm

Love it!
Thanks Mike!

Awesome guest! Thanks guys.

Great show you guys! 💖💖😍😍
Brilliant! I say it almost every week but…I really enjoyed and learned from this.
Best financial show👊
Brilliant cold open!
High level discussion. Interesting guest.
This makes be want to buy even more $MSTR
We didn’t start the show!😂
Great episode guys. I don't even have a snarky retort this week!
Apart from the intro…. At what time do the crew discuss Saylor & MSTR again?
You can torture the data enough that it confesses! Great insight
Great Entertainment with Substance!
I love all of the back stories and gossip related to Eugene Fama and Mr French.
Is there an episode where momentum gets talked about in greater detail?
Watching this in Tokyo Japan!
Arigato gozaimasu!
Amazing that it took you this long to get him on the show. No one loves the sound of their own voice as much as Cliff.
So much information.
Once again, thanks for all the investing info fellas! As a Comic Book Pro, enjoyed the added comic book chit chat as well 😊👏🏻

One of the best episodes, so insightful.
Honestly, I wouldn't have minded if he went on for another hour or two, though I get you have a schedule too.
Michael looks so much better without a hat.
Yes and without all the logos!
comments on the “wisdom of crowds” brilliant 👍
what part of The Great Gatsby are we in *right now* ?
“Maybe he’s brilliant! I don’t know.”
Ya, Michael Saylor studied Rocket Science at MIT, bud. Maybe he is brilliant…
Lol, right? Cliff is also brilliant though, sounds like he is talking his book. Is he shorting crypto/bitcoin?

That made me laugh out loud me too Josh me too.

Again please get rid of those bowl of balls. And place your favourite books in view in the forground, thank you from Peter in UK.
Agree they are very ugly and distracting!
how come Batnick's not in a t-shirt?
And put your cap on, I'm blinded.
a shirt with buttons? just missing top hat and monocle at that point.
Did Asness and Arnott finally come to an accord? No one ever brings that up in respective podcasts. Not picking sides here or anything.
