[TAS] Super Mario World "11 exits" by EmK530 in

    Possibly the last 11 exits TAS I'll ever make for Super Mario World because I'll have absolutely no idea how to optimize this even more (probably one of the hits in the bowser fight but whatever)
    I learned quite a bit of things from last TAS (#7) and got me a lua script this time to be able to view important things like hitboxes and speed which really helped me learn ways to speed myself up on both land and sea:
    By releasing right in midair (if I'm running that way) my speed stops fluctuating between 47,47,48,48,49 and if I stop pressing R when it lands on 49 I can keep that speed as long as I time every jump perfectly. This speed save also works for cape flight in the same way, since you don't have to press R as it tilts down for you, you can fly while keeping top speed.

    By switching between L and R underwater (which you can see) at top speed it changes from fluctuating between 15,15,16,16,17 to 15,17 which gives a slight speed boost.

    For some reason which I haven't figured out, on the first frame of input if you run left and then next frame run right and keep going right, you'll get a bit of extra distance quicker.

    Some extra tricks I included was the P switch jump in Iggy's Castle, fast descent in Star World 1 and conserving P speed through doors in Bowser's Castle

    Movie ends at frame 38407 but not the game
    Compared to my 7th TAS this TAS is 2765 frames faster

    God damn the wr is only .2 slower
    Edit: nvm that’s with TAS timing
