      @@DreamWriterDKS sad, but true.
Actually, for me the saddest part is parents not exposing their children to as many musical genres, bands and artists as they possibly can.
It drives me insane when I see kids wearing band t-shirts, yet said kids have no fucking idea who the band is.
I have 4 kids, and they sure as shit know who Led Zep, Floyd, The Doors, Rodriguez, Hendrix, Janis, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Prince, Deep Purple, Roy Orbison, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, The Stones, Audioslave, Tool, Etta James, Harry Nilsson, Acca Dacca, James Brown, Sublime, Queen, The Beatles etc., are.
I haven't had a television in the house for about 12 years now, but I definitely own stereos, I think that makes a huge difference - raising kids surrounded by music, rather than T.V.
On the bright side, I'm seeing a lot of the younger generation craving real music, so they go searching for it, and it's beautiful to see that look of discovery on their faces 😊🤟🤟

    1) Since I've Been Loving You - (studio or album version first...live version is incredible but their live versions are always different than studio & u should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS listen to album version first so u know what ur listening to when u hear it live...especially this song)
    2) When the Levee Breaks (studio/album)
    3) Stairway to Heaven LIVE 1973 at MSG - (This is the only exception to listen to the live version first.Yeah..It's that good)
    4) How Many More Times - (studio/album is way better than the b&w live version)
    5) Rain Song - (studio/album first..then live)

As others have commented; during the middle, the scratchy/screechy sound was Jimmy playing his guitar with a violin bow. Zeppelin was also known for improvising during a lot of their songs when they played live. There is a video of them from their concert movie called The Song Remains The Same performing this song where it lasts almost a half hour - believe it. Every song of theirs is full of heart and soul which makes the audience able to relate; it's almost primal. I like Aerosmith too but Zeppelin is in a class all by themselves.

This song is off Led Zeppelin's debut album, released early in 1969. The singer, Robert Plant was only 19 when he joined Jimmy Page in his group, The New Yardbirds (before the name was changed to Led Zeppelin) in 1968. This was my favorite band when I was a teenager. Even though Zeppelin only released 8 studio albums (9 if Coda is included) and 1 double live album, The Song Remains the Same in '76 as the soundtrack to the weird film of the same name. Their first 7 albums are excellent!! Enjoy the Zep journey, Jojo! 💙💙💙💙

Those long interludes get better when you are more familiar with a song and you're not wondering what is coming next. They let you get into that relaxed groove like you said, and anticipate what is coming without feeling impatient to find out what it is going to be. In well done songs, which this very much is, they set up the later parts nicely.

Aerosmith would agree with you. Led Zeppelin was one of their biggest influences and they were all huge fans of LZ! By the what's cool about that middle "spacey" section is that it gives you a musical/instrumental background to the "Here I come again" lyric -- in other words, it's Sex Music!! Haha! But you are right, this is a song about a toxic love relationship. As unhappy as the guy is (Robert's vocal), he is still obsessed with the lady and he can't stay away. Hot!

That song used to scare me so much and my dad would turn it up while laughing. The pauses in Zeppelin songs with the psychedelic sounds always reminded me of that specific song so they, too, would scare me as a child and my Dad found it hilarious. Eventually I grew to absolutely love all my dad's music. Including the "scary number 9" song. And I'd love to see what kind of reaction you'd get from it. Dude Zep are the GOATS period! You have to watch them live...The Madison Square Garden 1973. If it wasn’t for L.Z. there won’t be any groups like Aerosmith, Queen, or any of the horrible hair bands of the 80’s. They were all trying to be Zeppelin. Your generation can’t just sit still for greatness. I chalk it up to immaturity.

So happy to see a young man discover Led Zeppelin with so much enthusiasm. You are lucky, I wish I knew nothing about them and rediscovered all their titles. The next one : My time of dying

And here you are, during this incendiary interlude with the incredible Jimmy Page guitar solo taking it all the way to the flames of the freaking Sun, just looking … puzzled?
    Really? 😮
    Geez, my guy.

I looked through your channel and didn’t see Since I’ve Been Loving You. Possible that you did it and it got blocked but if you haven’t it’s a must. Do the album version. It’s a perfect song.

You need to watch the live at Madison Square Garden. It's around 28 minutes, but worth it.....

JoJo you have to be patient. Sit back and listen to the music! Listen to the drums of nothing else because that's incredible!

You really need to watch the version on "The Song Remains The Same" film soundtrack - even if it IS 28 minutes long!

The song is about a drug trip. I don't recall the song that it was influence by and it borrowed from but it's from basically an acid trip if I recall correctly and the ride of it

it's cool to watch a new generation, first listen to music that stands the test of time. But living experience can't be replaced.

Should see this live at MSG!! Aerosmith can't compare to Zeppelin. You can watch Jimmy play the guitar with a cello bow!

Zeppelin are the masters of classic rock. They were heavily inspired by many old, OLD time black blues musicians. For instance the song "When the Levee Breaks" was originally done by Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie. Zeppelin were known for remaking a lot of these old blues songs. There is a faction of people who are always trying to slam them saying that they stole this and they stole that, but remaking these very old blues songs was more of a paying homage to these blues greats.

I'm glad you don't get the long pauses between the first half and the last half of the song.....If you had that would mean you had heard Dazed and Confused on acid or the D.....
