Well the longer it goes maybe the smaller the offer, as Canada post can smell blood as they are crying on TV everyday. Offer them what we all get offered 1.5% + 2.0 + 3.0 = 6.5% over 3 yrs to put letters into a mailbox. Please don't say you all walk the routes you all drive postal trucks to you routes.

Canada post has lost over 3 billion dollars since 2018. They have no money. How can the union expect anything at all? If anything, management should be fired and there should be mass layoffs. There would then need to be a restructuring plan put in place to ensure it becomes solvent. Unfortunately, by striking at the one time of year that they actually do make some money, they are shooting themselves in the foot and ensuring that they continue to hemorrhage money. Feel sorry for the workers but the revenue stream is just not there and probably never will be unless they rethink their business model.

The Union has shackled the Corporation from progressing into the future, and has become a dinosaur.
Other companies are leaner, quicker, more diverse with more options.
Yes , still essential in rural areas of Canada and small businesses, but definitely not deserving of a 24% raise. They have lost a lot of their bargaining power, especially using the old tactic of striking at Christmas which seems to be backfiring on them.
    On the other hand,
the Corporation has operated on millions of losses over the last 7 years , and those in charge should be held accountable.

Workers have the right to strike whether non employees like it or not. If it’s worry over presents arriving etransfer and shop local. Usually local small businesses are hurting and would love the support. The strike will end its only a matter of when.
