- A look at Grandmaster Leo Giron's original style of escrima. The authentic "Bahala Na" style of escrima is still passed on today by the instructors of Bahala Na Multi-Style. Trained directly by Grandmaster Giron, Bahala Na Multi-Style instructors continue to pass on GM Giron's legacy to the next generation.

In my layman`s opinion....the Fillipino Martial Arts (esp. Escrima/Arnis/Kali) are by far and away the most "real world" applicable, practical fighting/self-defense martial arts styles ever developed. The simplicity,ergonomics/body mechanics and underlying philosophy give this often dismissed art form its uncanny adaptability and practicality as a martial art. I hope to someday be able to learn at least the fundamentals behind it. Thanks for the upload!!
GGM Leo Giron, definitely was one of the greatest escrimador's of all times. The illustrious Grand Master represents one of the original foundation stones of escrima in Stockton, California. His contributions to all of his student's will live on through all of them forevermore.
A fine documentary that is essential to have in anyone's archives. Thank you so very much for sharing.

Great Video. Thank You for posting.🤺⚔️🫶🏻🙏🏻
This is an amazing find. Those of us who recently lost our Grandmaster, Rene Latosa, are keenly aware of his learning at the feet of Grandmaster Giron, and are ever appreciative of what he taught our own beloved teacher. On a personal note, my Grandfather fought in the Philipines with men like GM Giron on the front lines of incursions into Japanese held territory. May they all be forever blessed, and may we all once again be together.
Much respect, these guys train like no one else I've seen. Squared off with some MultiStyle guys in tournamants, they are NO JOKE.
I trained with him at Dan Inosanto's acadamy in the 90s. What a great memory.
Wow. Really good video. Nice to see a video with practitioners working at full speed, full strikes.
...and multiple attackers.
I'm trying to picture myself in these exercises. holy shit! what a mess that would be. These dudes are bad ass. Never seen anything like it. Awesome footage.
all of the FILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS is a way of Filipino combat, if you are a true blood Filipino the way you think the way you move is to survive to fight, un on the spot criminal instinct to survive, kusang pumapasok sa isip mo all of the patern or style of fighting, mind and body combined together!
That's what i'm talking about! Really great post, thank you!
I like it. FULL STRIKES! No BS pitik strikes. Galing! Eto ang realistic na ensayo!
Very Very hot demonstration of drills!!!!!
This is the best. I even like the Santana Oye Como Va
very nice stuff!!!! :)
nice video!
good stuff.
Very useful way to train. Often when you practice only he close range check and counter then you will still be scared of this kind of power attack coming from a distance in my limited view of things. So I like these drills.
Really good video. GM 'sGiron, Illustrisomo et al are men the type od which we wil never see again. BTW, nice to hear some apt music. What's with all the heavy metal on FMA videos on RUclips? It doesn't fit. Peace
wholeheartedly agree verbatim
Awsome vid! any chapter of Bahala Na here in Cebu?
i like it
In a real filipino Tribal war back then in central Luzon, they use swords instead of wood(kamagong)

100% respect! Pugay!
❤️🔥🙏
My grand father Gertrudio Giron is the brother of master Leo Giron.
I met your uncle Mike in Vallejo at the Gathering Of Warriors.
Bahala Na!
-Training at that speed and level of intensity with the largo mano is very dangerous. To say these guys are good is a serious understatement of the level of their Kali.
Yep. Without. Protective. Equipment.
A true Master!
That one dude feeding go smacked in the face by guy defending. Dang
Self defense is easier if you have a weapon, stick is just one of them, arnis makes it easier for you to use anything you could grab and use it as a weapon. Even if you lose the weapon in the fight, same mechanics apply. But then again, everything boils down to your mental toughness, without it, you wont' be able to use your techniques.
Good day that's some bad stuff right there!
jo, coole sachen...
@juramentado one should never be static. the possibility of closing the gap from the attacker will change that range quickly. better to be safe then sorry.
Hand movements and stick movements so fast at blinding speed, just cant catch up w my eyes how they do it.
The Life of the Man, The Lesson "survive" is of the up most importance. To give him and the F.M.A. the Honor, is all we can do! Thank you G.M. for the truth we need. Thank G.M.Inosanto for sharing as well.
nice stuff though
