Nice maiden of that super sweet plane. I have really enjoyed your experiences with the Extreme Flight planes and led me to get one from a friend that quit flying his 48" Extra 300V2.

I have had a Hangar Nine 67" Extra 330SC for about 6 years and it is my go to plane. Easy to transport, easy to see, and fly. I use a 5500mah battery.
It's just a great sized plane. Even with a little wind like we saw today, the plane just doesn't really care that much. A real pleasure to fly this size.
I envy how easy you make it look.
I know he says he doesn’t have the 3d skills but I think he secretly does , he flies them so well
I appreciate it, but I still consider myself a novice and aspiring 3D pilot. There's a lot to learn and I need to move all of it closer to the ground.
Nice video and flight. I'm a gas and glow man but this plane looks really great. Extreme flight makes quality planes so maybe buy one next time. 🙃

This plane has RM ER6 in it right now. So the next time you see it on a video, that's what it'll have.

860sq in on an estimated 8lb auw is about 1.3395 lb/ftsq
Nice vid. Does the 67" Extra 260 seem easier to hover than say, your 60" laser?
Boy that's a hard call. Let's just say it hovers quite well. Makes me look better than I am.
Have you tried HRB batteries? Amazon has them for 50 bucks for a 6s 5000 mah I’m tempted to give a try. What batteries do you recommend?
I have. I use HRBs on my smaller helis. Right now I'm a big fan of Liperiors. Decent performance to price equation.
Which do you prefer this 260 or the 67” Laser? And why? I am having trouble making a choice. Thanks.
I prefer the Laser. I like the way it lands better and I have better success conducting the maneuvers I know how to do.
@@RCVideoReviews I took your advice on the 60” (and agree it is terrific - am using it at the Basic IMAC competition level), now also the 67”. Already ordered (to my wife’s chagrin).
I'm currently in communication with Extreme Flight regarding a wing warp in the 67" Skywing Laser. Didn't you have a similar experience and how did you resolve it? Thanks
I didn't resolve it. I left it alone and live with a slight amount of aileron. It could probably be fixed with a heat gun and a little bit of torque on the wing tip to get it in line.

what kind of radio and receiver are you using for this plane? I am assuming Radiomaster tx 16s and Elrs?
Correct on both counts.
@@RCVideoReviews yeah I think Futaba, JR and Spektrum are slowly on their way out like cable tv, I still use Futaba and Spektrum but I am transitioning out slowly. The fact that you can now buy a radio like the pocket and have better signal over long distance is amazing.
Yup. Agreed. Dollar for dollar, I wouldn't trade my Radiomaster or ELRS for any other tech available at this point in time.
@@samuellp1146 - Just a FYI tidbit - Spektrum is the original application of 2.4 GHz spread spectrum radio systems to radio control models. It was originally developed by Paul Beard. Insider's scoop: Spektum is working on the NEXT innovation which will match and surpass the present systems by all manufactures, including themselves AND FCC accepted and regulated. It will have a similar effect to the RC community just like when 2.4 GHz did to 27, 72 and etc. where we could not fly at the same time when some one else was flying on our frequency - remember the "clothes pins" on the frequency board 🤔😊😉

Agree think 59” to maybe 68” is a good size. Visibility and not so touchy with wind
I think one of the things I like so much about the 67's is single 6s5k with plenty of space on the battery deck to install/remove and handling them really is no different from handling a 60".

Did you find out why it wasnt reporting low voltage? gonna guess it might have something to do with the ELRS.
I added the logic but forgot to add the special function to activate the alert. ELRS was pretty much flawless. I even posted my RF logs on discord.
I have the same plane. Hopefully going up next weekend. Couple of questions, where was your initial cg and do you have a link to the battery? I couldnt find it. or do you happen to know the weight of it? Thanks
I used Liperior 6s5000's and they weigh 795g. CG was over the spar tube.
Why use wing-tip fences?
"Side force generators" - they help decrease wing rocking at stall speeds when flying 3D.
I like to fly them with and without to see if they help make certain maneuvers easier as @flipfpv pointed out.

IMHO, ELECTRIC is the NEW GASSER - I love the NO tuning, NO mess, etc AND with the AUTOMATIC SMART charge and discharge batteries and charger you can't get much easier - just plug in and fly!! - IMHO 😉😊👍
