    Sidekick is my favorite. Use it a lot!

    Keep in mind, for those buying from eBay or online stores, that the first generation (V1) Wingman and Sidekick models had the knife blades largely uncovered which presented a safety issue. The V2 versions have corrected this problem by increasing the covering surface of the blades.

    My brother just gave me the sidekick. I am pretty happy with it. I use the woodsaw a fair bit. I picked up a rebar a few days ago to try. No pocket clip and no outside knife kills it for me. Sticking with the sidekick. Will return the rebar. If I was going to upgrade it would be for the charge plus. But that's more than double the price and 36g heavier

    Both multitool are worth having but it would cost a fortune when in Australia so we just get local generic & mod to our specification & requirement. It's fun, it's affordable and we got all the great ideas from watching your show. Cheers cobber.!

    For the price none of these really stand up to the Rebar. When you consider price, size and durability the Rebar is hard to beat. If it had scissors it would be perfect for me. As it is I still carry it I just throw a Victorinox climber in my pocket to go along with it

    I have a Wave+, Wingman, and Rev. Oddly enough I prefer the Rev. It is simple and everything deploys easily. It is my edc and I think it is perfect while fishing.

    Hello, nice comparison vid. Can you measure thickness of pliers? I think it is important detail of m.tools.

    These are still a great option if you buy them used. If you're opposed to the Multiforce because you like the Leatherman name, build, reputation and have a little extra to spend, I'd recommend the The Leatherman Curl despite losing the wood saw and serrated blade. I don't use the serrated blade on my Wave. Only for cardboard and only occasional use for the wood saw and I live in a wooded area. Nice for very small diameter limbs and brands in a pinch but the Curl is a great alternative for $89 new.

    $69? Damn I remember buying my wingman for like $20 at Home Depot when it first came out, and the sidekick for like $30, with a leather slip sheath and carabiner.

    Multi Force the only thing missing is replaceable cutters. Plus you don’t need to mail it off to get it fixed. Walmart will just replace it no questions asked..

      I went and looked at the Multiforce earlier this week and the demo one was not loosened up at all. How long did it take for yours to be serviceable?

    • @lawrencehubbard2985
      @lawrencehubbard2985 Год назад

      @@nanotoj it took about two weeks for it to break in but I think it’s because I didn’t do it right. I got it and just started using it and it was stiff and it dawned on me to oil good and then just started opening everything up until it was smooth and then wiped it off.

    Do you know how to sharpen a pair of scissors and were you successful at this?

      I haven't tried that yet. I probably should.
