OMG. Perfect Sporran! Sweet! And yes, the WeCreat is awesome. I don't need Lightburn. Heck, I can do an unbelievable amount of things on this awesome laser without additional adds ons or software...
@@ThisIsHowIMadeIt I have watched hundreds of RUclips instruction videos on damn near every thing makeable. Your videos are second to none. Please keep them coming. Thank you so much for what I know is tons of time and effort making these for us...
I love the laser-ability of the no sew bags. I don't have a laser cutter yet but do have a Cricut. Think I'll try some faux on the Cricut as practice for when I get a laser cutter. Thanks for the videos.
Great Video! Can't wait to try these. I have a WeCreat and love it so far! I've done mostly wood purses with living hinges and layered signs (not my favorite). These will be a wonderful complement to my purses. Thank you!
Oh how I'd love to win one of your engraved bags of real leather. You and I are getting different leather and I really want to see what you use. The engraving especially seamless patterns fascinates me. I recently heard you can sublimate on real leather and want to learn how to do that too (I don't see myself being able to get one of these machines for a long while) Love all your videos and willingness to share your knowledge
Have always been a little intimidated with making purses/clutches. Thanks for the awesome video. It gives me the incentive to try it on the WeCreat and Cricut machines.
I have heard a lot of positive about this laser butI have a Roly Lasermatic 10W that is enclosed and it works great for me. Been waiting for these videos to pop. Will head to etsy to pick the bundle up. I really like your videos you do a great job with them.
Beautiful creative designs. I always wanted to work with leather. I purchased the vision several months ago. These look so simple and doable. Thanks for the video.
Thank you!!! This was such a fantastic and inspiring tutorial. You made it seem so doable. I like that you talked about the places it may be a bit more difficult - super helpful. I'm headed to your Etsy shop after this comment to purchase your patterns. And your voice is kinda dreamy. 🤭
That these designs are possible with faux leather on the Cricut is awesome. I’m always looking for more leather/faux leather projects which are Maker friendly. I love your sense of style. Thank you for sharing!
I actually do have a question: I’ve cut and tooled 2mm tooling leather on my Maker before with pretty good result. I’m guessing that type of leather would also work for these purses?
I love your creativity and your projects. I bought the project for beer cans and they were perfect, both in leather and leatherette. Keep creating wonderful pieces. Successes there. Hugs
Love your video. I work with leather. Your creativity is absolutely on point! Can't wait to use your patterns. Thank you for trying out the We Create laser. I have a Cricuit Maker but it is a bit slow in cutting and tooling real leather. This laser may be a game changer for me. Did you have to case the leather before tooling it in the laser like you do for the Cricuit? I look forward to more of your videos. Thank you for sharing.
I love you channel. Thank you! Can’t wait to get started on these bags. I’ve purchased the SVGs to make on my Cricut and just waiting for the leather to arrive. Would you consider selling the backpack SVG too?
Great job! Just purchased a laser and ordered some leather from Tandy in Ontario. Any chance you can design a no stitch, front wearing, over the shoulder travel passport/ money man purse in left and right shoulder option.
Do you have a video about your process from beginning to end? When to wax... When to Resolene... I am new to leather craft and would love to make these with my WeCreat Vision.
I will buy some of your patterns here in a minute. My big concern with using my new X-tool S1 is venting out the smoke. I bought a turbo like fan, some ducting, and hosing. I have it sucked out the window. I still get some of the sickening fumes inside the room, but not terribly. What's the best way to vent, and do you use a filtration (carbon) type system to exhaust out those fumes? I know according to the X-tool your not supposed to cut faux leather due to the toxic fumes.
Question... i only work with leather and have been wanting to up my game when it comes to techniques; this laser would be a great addition. I have never worked with a laser, so my question is, can this laser be used to skive off the underside of leather (hopefully its not a stupid question, like i said i have no knowledge of lasers)? An electric skiver machine runs anywhere from $1600+; i can't afford both, so if the laser can skive, that would definitely be a plus. Thanks.
Hey thanks for sharing! This is the first time I came across your YT channel! Do you have any ideas how this laser compares to Xtool M1? I am torn between these two lasers... Anyway good quality video! You get a sub! hehe
I looked it up. I do like the xtool brand. From what I saw the m1 has a similar size bed to the glowforge. Smaller than the xtool p2. It would need a riser and a rotary to compare, so more expensive. I would lean heavily to the wecreat…
@@ThisIsHowIMadeIt We have so much info to add in that description box. No matter how hard we try, it's easy to miss something. Usually I'll have a terrible incorrect spelling in my title :)
Amazing bags , can I ask u, when I laser cut a bag it makes a char black in the cut sides which makes the whole bag look dirty, so I have to wash the leather which I’m not sure if that’s right to do actually, but no other choice, so my question is how can I cut the leather without getting that black char sides, and if I get it, how to get it out, cause it’s all over my fingers.
I get a little charring, more on my co2. I just wipe it off with a damp rag, and then I burnish the flap and the straight areas with just a little tokenoke and a burnishing tool. Makes the black shiny. I actually find it much easier to burnish lasered leather than cut leather. Much faster.

@@ThisIsHowIMadeIt thank you
I am excited to try these. I purchased an xtool D1 laser, and I already have a Cricut. Which do you think would be best to use?
I love purses but never thought to make one on my laser! Do you think I could also use fabric backed cork to construct these purses?
Probably…
