I found great relief from jealousy and “not feeling enough” through not being so intense with fitness, stopped tracking all metrics through fitness wearables and spending way less time on social media. It became exhausting and understanding that fitness and social media can be toxic because it’s a pursuit that never has an end goal. I get you can’t do the same because you’re an influencer and make your living online but I strongly believe the reason why depression and jealousy is abundant in the fitness world is because it’s a pursuit that never ends. You always need to do more, buy more gadgets, stay up to date with the trends. Rather just living life. We are not supposed to be monkeys who rely on technology this much
