    I was struggling a bit, because i have to sing the pre-chorus lower, and thought i might need to learn to play the song in a lower key, but then i realised you also switched your voice lower for that same section, and it sounded fine when you did it.

      Haha yea I feel you. I often have to jump down an octave, usually theres a way to do it so it doesnt sound too weird :)

    Great lesson. Really enjoyed playing along. Those sus chords really help to shake it up a bit. Thanks to the Piano Chord Breakthroughs course, I’m starting to experiment a bit, and from time to time I tried throwing in a C# bass note before the change up from B to D, and again before the change from D to A. That works well too, for a bit of variety.

      Oh that's so awesome that you are finding yourself able to apply the ideas from the course to these songs! That's the whole goal!! I totally agree, a C# passing note sounds great there :)

    I'm binge-watching Nate's videos. I will learn everything and impress my friends! 🤣 I love your tutorials, you're a great teacher!!! It's well structured and easy to follow (and very encouraging!) and I like that you do full cover after. I love that it's an accompaniment however, I don't have a singing voice though lol. You're one of my favorite contemporary music piano teacher here on RUclips.. or maybe ever! I'm really glad I discovered your channel!
    Thank youuuuuu!!!
    It brings back my passion in playing the piano. I've always wanted to be able to play contemporary music. I'm busy but I'll sure make time for it. And again, your videos are very encouraging and kinda cure my sadness lol.

    Are all three chord change sus2? My guitar friend plays this in E,
    So my chords are E F#m and A so to enhance I'd like to add you sus2 changes. Thanks!

    • @PianowithNate
      @PianowithNate  Год назад

      The two major chord are sus 2…the Bm (or in your case, F#m) is sus4. But they are used as decorations on the rhythm rather than played as sus2 or sus4 for the whole measure…though if you just played the alteration the whole time that would still sound cool!
