True, but if Toriyama hadn't had such a hard time writing strong female characters and keeping them strong instead of letting them default to housewife, Bulma could have easily become the Ironman of Dragon Ball. In the Jaco Manga we see a 4 or 5 year old Bulma use a laser gun that made a fairly large explosion that left Jaco speechless and asked her to join the Galactic Patrol. Later in Dragon Ball she obviously made the Dragon Radar, and the Micro-Band, so she could also have been the Ant-Man of Dragon Ball too. In Z she was able to repair and reprogram #16, and Future Bulma created a fully functional time machine basically from salvaged junk parts (considering the state of the world in her time) Imagine if she had been able to reverse engineer the Saiyan pods, battle armor, and scouters, and later gained access to Dr. Gero's notes on how he made #17 and #18, she could probably have turned herself into an android with an infinity engine. So many possibilities that were never explored despite her consistently being shown as basically the most intelligent person in the multiverse
