- "On the Black Sea" is a Croatian naval marching song that was used by the Croatian Naval Unit - Black Sea in the Second World War on the Eastern Front.
In recent times, the song came to life again when Duško Lokin worked on it in the early 1990s. Besides the official name ("On the Black Sea"), the marching song is also known as: "Sailors from the blue Adriatic", "Forward sailors from the blue Adriatic" and "Forward sailors, the Chief is with you".
My Serbian neighbours loved this song so much they broke my windows to hear it better.

I think that poglanvnik means more like leader instead of chief but thats my personal opinion also bura dosent mean storm it mean wind so the song would go "through wind storm and snow" and it isnt "croatia are with you" but "is with you"
I've used an official translate, but you are right.
To rođače tu mi pjesmu daj!!!
Dobiše mornari po pički na kraju
