    I have been playing about four years. I have a P-125 and like it very much. Others who have been playing much longer than I have say that it is great instrument for the beginner/intermediate player.

    Just bought it 2 days ago. My experience so far is being very positive and fun. Love the piano voices including the e-piano. The keys action is amazing, yet a bit slippery. The overall reaction is wow. For an entry-level piano, my thumb is UP.

    Wonderful product. The sound is very realistic, it's simplistic to use and the interface is fairly user friendly. For a beginner like myself I enjoy the sound, the feel and the pushback of the keys which mimic a real grand piano.
    Overall an excellent product and excellent purchase

    I purchased the P-125. It is beautiful. BUT, I would like consumers to be aware the recommended i-UX1 cable (to use the Smart Pianist app) which is recommended uses the outdated 30-pin technology. So, after purchasing I-UX1 for $79.99, I had to purchase an Apple lightning to 30-pin adapter. Also, the reviews state that Apple will soon be discontinuing this adapter. The 30-pin connection is 7-8 years old. YAMAHA - where is the updated cable? We are in the era of smart phones, ipads and lightning cables. This is my only frustration with the purchase.

      U can use the record options in the keyboard itself once u take a video of your performance, so high quality output ll b recorded in the keyboard, now edit using any video editor to match up the performance wit ur videos, u even can record using the daws as well!! But mixing wit the videos matters!! If u spend lil time on it u ll get an idea abt it and try to improvise urself wit few more ideas nd share it wit us too!! ATB!!

It can also be used as the computer speaker for playback when connected through USB. I used Audacity, it worked fine. Smart Pianist on Android is still not supported, waiting for the app to be updated. My first ever piano and happy with the 4 different piano sounds, thanks to Yamaha!

    Isn't it amazing! You get a professional player on just about any keyboard and they make them sound incredible BUT! Put me on the same instrument and you will want to throw the keyboard (and possibly me too) through the nearest window. I think people give up way too soon because they are not seeing fast improvement.

    Help needed! I purchased FMTINES and some other IPAD piano apps but I can’t seem to get the sound of the piano app to play when I hit the piano keys. It’s as if the iPad isn’t connected. There is no change in sound on the keyboard yet I can hear the iPad sounds through the piano speakers. Would there be a setting on the Yamaha P-125 to sync the iPad to the keyboard? Thanks in advance.

      Did you make sure the keyboard is even connected to the ipad? Try on the google, you wont find answers on youtube as this is an old video. Good luck

    I was tempted to get the p125 as my first venture in to learning piano but as beautiful as it is, I thought $600 was a little too much for that first buy. I ended up getting a $350 Alesis Recital Pro instead and I think it's more than enough for the first few years, but I have my eye on that P125!!!

      @@biancaclarke5825 hi Bianca incase you were wondering I ended up getting the Casio px160 instead as my first piano. It was $400 so just 50 more than the recital pro and it instantly sounds better. The grand piano mode on Casio pianos is one of the best and for $400 I'm very happy with the PX160. I returned the recital pro due it having distracting sharp cuts on the sides of all the keys which was quite noticeable and detracts from the immersion when practicing. Px 160 feels and sounds great for a first beginner digital piano. Good luck

      @@biancaclarke5825 I prefer the Roland fp30 for the key action. Yamaha's sound is more real but for study,the Roland has a better keyboard

    Why nobody mention that this digital piano has a line in and a dedicated asio driver?

    • @CoercedJab
      @CoercedJab 5 лет назад +1

      What's that mean

    • @blackcode08
      @blackcode08 5 лет назад

      The asio driver is software that will let the piano play incoming samples really quickly basically in real time. The line-in is part of this feature. To record to a pc you would be using an output or line-out. ;)

    I learned something recently which I should have learned decades ago. I was a piano major in college. I improvise and compose but mostly improvise for my own enjoyment. I moved to my parent's house to take care of them. An acoustic piano I played as a kid was still there but hopelessly out of tune. I ordered a tuning kit and watched videos on tuning. I tuned it fine for improvising but if I play a Chopin nocturne it is not quite right. Oh well. Anyway when I hit middle C other Cs on the piano vibrate as do the 5ths to a point resulting in a full body sound that is not in digital pianos. This is why people tire of digital pianos. I have an old Kawaii digital from 1980 and still use it because it has headphones so I do not bother anyone. But when nobody is around I much rather play the acoustic. Overtones.

      Almost every digital piano can do that. But the sound will come from your Macbook with logic pro x on.

    Do the keys stay weighted when playing the electric piano sounds? It would be cool, but I think it would be very hard to engineer.

    • @charlesfernandez201
      @charlesfernandez201 4 года назад +7

      No, I'm pretty sure as of now there's no way to change the action of the piano no mater what voice/sound you use. Your best bet is to buy a small 61 keyboard or synthesizer which aren't weighted but have the electrical sounds, theyre cheaper than these weighted digital pianos.
