The Yamaha P125 is Outstanding Digital Piano
Built around the sound of the world-famous Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand piano, the clear and melodic sound of the Yamaha P-125 digital piano is instantly recognizable to any seasoned pianist. Your fingers will feel right at home on the Yamaha P-125's Graded Hammer Standard action, which is heavier in the low keys and lighter in the high keys, emulating the dynamic feel of hammers on real acoustic piano strings.
For the ultimate in realism when playing the Yamaha P-125, String and Damper Resonance DSP re-create the sympathetic and reverberant sounds inside a grand piano when the dampers are off the strings. The Yamaha P-125 comes with a full set of performance options and USB connectivity provide tons of flexibility onstage, at home, or in the studio. All considered, you'll be hard-pressed to find an affordable digital piano that outperforms the Yamaha P-125.
Celebrate the joy of music-making with the Yamaha P-125
At Sweetwater, music truly is the universal language, and it brings joy into our lives every day. For pianists at every level of accomplishment, the clean, straightforward design of the Yamaha P-125 makes it a wonderfully approachable and user-friendly instrument. From beginner to intermediate and beyond, pianists will find the Yamaha P-125's sound and playing feel ideal, while the portability of the Yamaha P-125 lets you take it from home to live gigs, the recording studio, or on weekend getaways with ease.
The Yamaha P-125 provides the sound and feel of a real concert grand piano anywhere you need it
From the first time your fingers play the ivories on the Yamaha P-125, you'll know why Yamaha digital pianos are known far and wide for having some of the best-feeling keys on the market. That's because the Yamaha P-125 sports Yamaha's Graded Hammer Standard keybed. This fully weighted keybed provides you with light response in the upper register and progressively heavier action the lower you play - just like the keys of an acoustic piano.
But great feel isn't enough. That's why the Yamaha P-125 comes equipped with their Pure CF Sound Engine, which perfectly re-creates the sound of their renowned CFIIIS concert grand piano. And since you can comfortably load the Yamaha P-125 into the back of a typical sedan, you can take this amazing combination of sound and feel anywhere.
The Yamaha P-125 has a top-notch sound system with Intelligent Acoustic Control onboard
Carting around a set of speakers or headphones isn't such a big deal when you're playing live, but who wants to deal with all that extra clutter at home when you just want to sit down and play? Yamaha gets how important both portability and convenience are, which is why they integrated a full stereo sound system into the Yamaha P-125 digital piano. What's more, the Yamaha P-125 comes equipped with Yamaha's Intelligent Acoustic Control, allowing the EQ of the Yamaha P-125 to continuously adapt to your volume settings, providing you with excellent tone you don't have to babysit. And when you're playing the Yamaha P-125 with headphones on, you'll appreciate Yamaha's Stereophonic Optimizer, which adjusts the spatial distribution of sound in your headphones to create the perception that the sound is coming from the piano rather than from your 'phones.

As an owner of the same Yamaha p-125, I was stunned by the totally different sound he’s making from it.
So I don’t need $6,000 high tech digital piano but only need to practice more... got it!
yah that's right
A great external speaker system doesn’t hurt either:)
He may have used the smart app to tweak the settings though to make it sound better.
I started watching for the review, then got completely distracted by his playing... THAT'S a musician!
Yes exactly! 😁

@@MsStarryEyed Sorta like what happens to me when I watch a Lola Astanova video.
I appreciate all the feedback guys, thank you! 👍👍👍
Jacob Dupre,, muy bueno!! You are very good!!!
You're too kind :)
Hi, I have the same piano. I was wondering how did you record the sound of the piano? It is crystal clear.
Jacob.. i didn't hear any feedback, sounded pretty clear to me.
Hey Jacob, great video! You're very talented. I have also lived in Rochester, NY - it's a small world ... I still kind of miss the city, perhaps, except for winters. ;-) Best wishes for your career!
I have a quick question - I have absolutely no experience playing any instrument and have never studied music formally. However, I very much love music and would like to learn to play piano for myself and perhaps for occasional entertaining friends or a company. However, I'm afraid that I might either fail in mastering the instrument (for example, in achieving hand independence) or lose interest in playing. From that perspective, would you suggest to get necessarily a 88 weighted keys instrument (for that, I'm torn between P-125 and DGX-660) or a decent 61 non-weighted keys instrument (such as Casio CT-X700, which sounded pretty good to my non-musical ear)? I have a tight budget, so I cannot splurge on Tyros or Genos :-). Even buying P-125 or DGX-660 would be a tough financial decision, considering potential loss of interest in playing, hence my mention of CT-X. I would appreciate your advice on the above.
I came for the review, I stayed for the piano playing.
that's how we got then years older, and one year advanced musically. Oh well Nothing's perfect! small price to pay
*WARNING* : the piano doesnt come with the talent
lool hahahah
Hahahaha 🤣
@Christian Kole No you haven't, bot.
LOL, you nail it !!
Obrigado por avisar!
Anybody else watched this video to learn about specs but got distracted in this guy’s skills?? He’s a god
the dude can really play
Zhengchun Wan phenomenal every genre nailed it
indeed!
He has great dedication to muscle memory and a typical traditionally trained instrumentalists; a clone. It’s one thing being able to technically play an instrument to the instruments capabilities, but it’s another thing being able to transpose emotion, which I didn’t feel.
@@james-r is there a way I can learn this power?
@@CoercedJab Not from a Jedi.
Give this guy a raise
Technology has taken music creation to an entire new level and I don't see it stopping any time soon. From stand alone units like this to software based plug-ins for DAWs, the limit is only based on your ears and pocket book. Great demo.
Thank heavens someone does a review and actually lets you hear the thing before talking about it ! Some reviews prattle on for most of the time without letting you hear it .
I been watching reviews for a while and you gave a great review. Loved to hear all the voices and music genres.
I wanna learn everything he just played.... so good! I keep rewinding and replaying the video just to hear! Beautiful
It´s so incredible how this man can pull out the best of each Piano Voice
best demo of this product i have ever seen
great salesman
I played the P115 on stage since it first came out and I have to say it did very, very well. I then purchased the P125 when it came out. This is one fantastic keyboard. I have been playing it on stage for the past year and it does absolutely great. I just can't get over why they keep calling this an entry level keyboard? Lets bee honest now, the average person that will come to a lounge or nightclub to listen to a live band, couldn't tell the difference between ANY of the pianos in this same class. It is a bit heavy I must say, but aside from that I would recommend this to beginner or professional. Thank you for allowing me to post my opinion.
By itself it weighs a bit more than 20 lbs. If you weigh under 130 lbs. and are not under 35 years of age, it is heavy. I love this piano by the way. No regrets about my purchase in February from Sweetwater.com.
Have it styles in it??
Can it get That HAMMOND B-3 Sound??
@@kristofernewton422 Yes
I own both P115 and a P125.
its crazy but the P115 has a better feeling and more realistic action and nicer sound imo!! Yamaha claims its exactly the same action but its not. It feels slower and less like a real piano on the P125. P125's CFIII grand (default piano) also sounds brighter and I'm not a fan. You can hear this difference on youtube demos too!
That was a GREAT demo of your expert piano playing & a great review as well! This is the one I have my eye on.
Best review I have seen about the P125, didn't realise you could do so much with it, and also awesome playing, will definitely be getting one soon
I was blown away how impressive this guy plays. Like stunned and mesmerized - the camera angles were awesome.
Excellent ! Thanks a lot for THE demonstration !
This is probably the only 10+ min review I’ve watched all the way, what a well done review thank you
I agree! Excellent review. He was not interested in hearing the sound of his own voice like most reviewers but actually showed us features of the app with practical examples. Well done sir! I already decided to get the P125 but now I'm getting that app too.
I think this guy could make any digital piano sound great ! What a talent 😉
Damn! You sound amazing! Thank you for sharing your gift and oh the review was nice too.
Great overview! Jacob, you are mad talented!
Finally a Review where they played all the Voices, made me fell in love with the Choirs
Wow what playing! What talent!
Just ordered mine today.❤ got almost 20 years experience on an old upright and cheap keyboards, (started playing when I was 5) and figured it was time for an upgrade. This sold me. Thanks for the review!
I wanna buy this one too. Do u recommend p125?
@@svyatam3898
I switched from a much more expensive CLP 635 to the P125.
The P125 is really great.
Love the piano sounds and the feel of the keys
J rkt thank you!
J rkt out of interest, why did you go from a more expensive piano to a cheaper one. I just ordered my p125 I’m really excited
@@user-xd4sk4pk7h
Mostly because I dont like the feel of the keys on the CLP 635. They feel too heavy and not smooth enough imo. Also they make waay more noise then the keys on the P125. Its crazy!!
I love the feel of the P125 and I prefer the piano sounds too. The main piano sample of the P125: a Yamaha CFIIIS grand, sounds much better than the CFX grand sample on the CLP 635 imo. The other two piano sounds on the P125 are really great too.
So yeah..
thats why I switched to the cheaper one. Its a great piano. You will love it!
Thanks for this very informative video! You answered all my questions. Great job walking us through all the voices and the app interface.
When he said that with headphones you can hear same sound like you listen into the room this is Totally True
First time I used it I thought that headphone was not working.
then I take it off my ears then I realize that the sound were the same
very impressive :) I love my P125
Thanks for a great review. I am sold and will go and buy one this week.
Thanks Jacob. Your very good. Love the upgrades, especially the app with the chord feature. This is really a great deal.
Thanks Don!
14:05 when he said "of course I can play along to it", I thought that he would just play the chords. This really put on a smile on my face, thanks!
I need this piano! What a great piano to gig, busk, and record with!
"Con Alma" at 5:12, easily one of Dizzy Gillespie's most beautiful tunes. Nice playing, Jacob, very soulful. 😉
The new "Live Grand" voice sounds just like the old Motif's "PowerGrand". Great to hear that more artificial, punchy option available!
Wow you are really good! Either this is a really awesome piano or you are making it sound really awesome! :)
Just bought one! Looking forward to it!
Nice demo the sound is spot on
I just knew you were from Louisiana with a name like Dupre. Always look forward to your videos.
Welp. I'm sold on this piano. Congrats on an incredible review.
Amazing demo and amazing playing
You are an inspiration, man. Love the way you play.
Beverley Smith thanks appreciate it!
Thank you sooo much.Your clip helps me a lot! You r amazing piano player too.👍
awesome presentation by an awesome musician!!
Great review, thank you!
Great review and fine playing
Wow great video those websites don't mention much of anything when it comes to features. Great playing as well.
let it be known, Jacob just singlehandedly convinced me to buy this. great job.
I know I was bummed waiting on the Kawi ES110, but after listening to him play and seeing some of the initial features. I am not as bothered as I was. Mine will be here Weds.
Great review!
Great review, Jacob! You should have mentioned that there is a 73 key version of the P125, known as the P121, which is (feature-wise) identical in every way to the P125. Being less wide, it's even more portable than the P125, which might be important for those for whom portability is a major factor in their purchase decision.
I’m almost on the verge of tears. A feeling hit me very deep! It’s like when I was a young teen feeling the soul music of Beethoven I would play him work All of the time. He is a beautiful inspiration and has been for a long time💘 And today, you became my 2nd Known inspiration since then. Idk how it’s possible but your work sounds similar of how I exactly play. It’s relatable to my own; expressing through the piano. I can hear your song in some high spirits, soothing soul music, some reminding me a new growth of my creative side within myself 😀💜Dont ever give it up!! It’s helps you also spiritually heal with God xoxo
Really love the way you played CON ALMA..very Nice man.
Thanks I appreciate it! It's a beautiful tune and always one of my favorite to play.
Thank You. Well explained and a great 🎹.
Beautiful video and that dude is something.
Wow! Thank you! You convinced me! I‘m going to get one!🎶💫
fantastic demo, thanks!
excellent presentation! congrats!
sweet video. This guy makes great videos. Love when he rocks out around the 14:!5 mark.
This was amazing, you are a fantastic player - and what a great way to really show off all of the features, and just the sound of this keyboard.
10/10 - will be purchasing this, but will only be .75% as good.
Why you say that? 75%?
@@virgilgray852 .75%. Basically I won't be this good unless I play it every day for the next 30 years
@@dakusouru5491 Music is all about fun. It is what you make it.
I have a question, I bought this piano in black and I wanna know how do you record music on the piano and layer it onto a video, I know that there is a recording button but can you help with this?
15:33 is the coolest feature i need now, record directly to a file (wave or midi). Thankfully the app is available on Android as well, I've checked this. Worth a buy?
This piano sounds amazing 👍
Nice sounding digital piano, but WOW! THAT PLAYING IS OUTSTANDING! GO DUDE!
It sounds beautiful and I’m going to buy one👍🏻
Why did you leave out the best function, the auto rhythms ???
Dude can kill it!🎶🎹
Wow, brilliant review and pianist, thanks 👍
This has a lot of bells and whistles. I was looking at the p-45 for my daughter but think this is worth extra 100 dollars. She is not that advanced yet but is very tech savvy and makes up her own songs. I think the iPad smart piano app is great!
Dude!!!!!!! you are amazing. I was almost sold on the Yamaha p125 but after seeing what can be done on it I am willing to wait the two months on back order to get it. BRO you rule. give this guy a raise.
Go on amazon
You give me the motivation Im ordering this keyboard now
You play beautifully!
Boy knows how to play and move his body! Very helpful thank you!!
Where can I get the metronome for my left leg?
Thank you for removing the frustration of buying a digital piano. I'm a classical pianist looking for a grand piano sound, without the "clicking" noise in the keys. Definitely sold me.
I heard the Kawai es110 is more geared towards classical pianists, do check em out
This video is what sealed the deal for me to go with the P-125, as well as order from Sweetwater! Love my purchase and their customer service! Secretly trying to remotely mimic what Jacob’s playing; the easier parts of course! 😂
MsStarryEyed how’s the p125 since you bought it? I’m debating either this or the Yamaha dgx-660 which is also an awesome piano
Metal Frets I really like my P-125! I also considered the DGX-660 because I like a lot of its additional features and sounds. However, the speakers, quality of Voices, and lighter weight mobility made me go with the P-125. It feels like a legit keyboard you could learn, perform, and record with. I watched a lot of reviews including comparisons and found the P-125 was the better fit. I’m using an X stand and wanted to be able to move it around easily vs being more stationed. Check out this video and his channel, he really helped me! He has in depth reviews of all popular keyboards and pianos, including individual reviews of the 660 and 125. Hope this helps! ruclips.net/video/dN10K0S7jIY/видео.html
How has your experience been with the p125....would you recommend it if I don't use an iPhone?
His left leg when playing is my spirit animal
One freeking great pianist
Is it possible to hook it up to your PC, and act as if you're using the Smart Pianist app? For example, if I used the USB, inserted it into my PC, is it possible to do anything the other app can? And if not, is it possible for me to be able to script it, to do thus?
I’m really excited to to get this keyboard sometime soon. I’ve been playing guitar for like 20 years and have always wanted to learn piano. It’ll be a struggle though since I learned guitar by ear/tabs lol
What piece is at 9:42? It sounds just like the second movement of Bruch's violin concerto
Sounds great 💖
So the DGX 670 HAS THIS SAME KEYBOARD, dual sensor GHS, not the best of Yamaha keyboard but weighted graded and u can select light touch hard or medium etc. Are the keys loud or noisy when playing ?
Excellent review
How to select 1 of 50 classic master pieces ? I tried following the manual to select song number 1 by simultaneously pressing DEMO/SONG + key 1 - but it does not work ! Is this an error with this P125 model ??
Cool playin' man!
Truly this is by far the best demo of this wonderful piano. Highly talented and professional player convinced me this is the one to buy.
What do you think of this piano vs the older model CLP 525?
Great review and fantastic playing!
Fun demo!
Great playing.
I wish it had a "balance" between layers. The slow strings are nice, as the Prophet 5 pad. And we ALL wish it had 5 Pin MIDI!
Please how many Layers he had ? And because why is it cheaper than the P115, while it is more efficient? Thank you
Does the Yamaha p-125 work with the kawai hml1 stand and kawai f 350 pedals?
This guy explain the whole feature as well and playing as well too.
How long you learn piano??
what do you call that red line at the top of the black keys? I've seen that in casio keyboards but not in kawai
Jason sold me on this piano. The Smart Pianist app is great, too. I connect to GarageBand in my iPad via USB and in an audio track I am able to record the native sounds, not just MIDI as the User Manual claims.
any problems with the lower c notes with loud speakers with an open bottom stand when you place the keyboard close to a corner of a room?
Great Review!
You make any keyboard look the best ... even if it's not ...
You are really good
I am considering buy p121. Does the Android apk can record unlimited midi file? I really need small piano for gig with unlimited record midi file. Thanks for opinion
Help needed! I purchased FMTINES and some other IPAD piano apps but I can’t seem to get the sound of the piano app to play when I hit the piano keys. It’s as if the iPad isn’t connected. There is no change in sound on the keyboard yet I can hear the iPad sounds through the piano speakers. Would there be a setting on the Yamaha P-125 to sync the iPad to the keyboard? Thanks in advance.
Mr. Dupre, are there any good jazz drum patterns in the Yamaha P-125, such as good brush sounds and ride cymbal? If so, could Sweetwater
make a RUclips video featuring those sounds. Thanks
I think there are about 50 rythms
Hey buddy..u r really good..
Uo wanna.ask what were u playing at1:00 i want to buy a piano and i wanna learn the thing u played
