Eric, you've hit 100k because you deliver real content with no BS! We jump on here for the same reason we used to turn on the TV-to be entertained and to forget about things for a little while. No politics, no judgements and no virtue signaling. And, we get to learn a thing or two about an engine we prob would've never been able to look into in reality. Plus, you're witty, clever and a lot of fun to watch and listen to. Keep up the good work, you rock!

Eric you deserve the 100k. You're the best thing I've discovered for a weekly video channel. Anything you tear into is always worth watching. The reason you have 100k is because what you do is what people want to see. No cheesy intros or editing. Keep up the amazing work.

I do like that you get straight to the point, are self deprecating, funny, and so knowledgeable. Also, it was very special to meet your family and congratulations on your new baby! Looking forward to what lies ahead and wishing you all the success in the world in your future endeavors!
Eric, I can’t tell you how impressed I am with your business. I thought you were a guy who owned a lot of BMWs and tore engines down in the evenings. Wow! You have an impressive car business. You are one very capable businessman. Congratulations on your 100K RUclips subscribers too. Well done, and much success in the future.

Eric late to the comments I know but you exemplify America. Young guy, young family works hard running an honest business employing others. I watch your channel because it cements my hope in the future of the United States.
Eric, I love your videos buddy. I’ve been following for a bit now, maybe over a year. The content is spot on! When I see you have a new video, I get almost giddy. I’m 66 years old, I own a couple of cars that I love and never will part with, and your show IS very informative. You are a great guy, nice family, a new child on the way, and a thriving business. You are living the American Dream. It is hard, but look at the results. You earned one hundred thousand subs of which I am proud to be one. Congrats on that milestone, and congratulations for your new child. I was born with race fuel for blood 🩸 100 octane minimum. You absolutely deserve what you have and have achieved. Be well. Big Al.
Started watching when you had around 5k subscribers. After seeing the V8 teardowns I was pleased when you didn't butcher the Rotary tear down so knew you must know a thing or two about engines 😎 Each and every video has been a joy to watch and to learn something and always look forward to every weeks video. Very very well deserved to reach 100k 👍😀
I worked for a large marina forty years ago, and some fool forgot to order the new boats to be winterized. We had about 25 small blocks freeze and crack! The insurance company paid for replacement bare blocks, plus labor and gaskets. I got very, very good at disassembling and reassembling small blocks. In two weeks we had them all fixed. And winterized. Nice to meet your growing family, congrats on 100K!
165 hp, four barrel carb, 155 two barrel carb. My first car, a Malibu, bought new in 1975 had the two barrel 350. Dirt simple, PCV, catalytic converter, HEI, ran great for 14 years. Was able to do most simple servicing. Had leaky valve stem seals, replaced, then rings finally started giving out, car retired. Sold it many years later to someone who turned it into a dirt track racer. Long live the SBC.
Congratulations to all of you, Family, employees and business! This is what used to keep America going for many, many years- a quality, dedicated Mom & Pop business. That's wonderful news for you and Wife.
Congratulations! I just learned about your channel within the past couple of months, and your formula just plain works. You keep it simple, you keep it interesting, and your love for cars and engines comes through the screen beautifully. When I was a 21 year old kid, uh, some time ago, I worked as a parts driver for my local full service salvage yard. I stayed in that job for about 18 months until I found one in my career path of being a software developer. It is perhaps the job I look back on with the most fondness, as I do love cars and salvage yards and getting my hands dirty. If I could go back to those days I would gladly come to work for you and help you sell parts online, but alas, I'll just have to experience it through the story you're telling on RUclips. Keep it up, it's great stuff to watch, and congratulations on a successful channel, business, and growing family.
That old 350 is just worn out! Congrats on the newest member of your family to come and the 100K subs. You did earn it. You are putting out good and entertaining content. It's real, No BS. and better than the crap on TV. "I Do Cars" is a great name. I do them as well. I'm a mechanic with 32 years under my belt. And still like to watch teardowns. The carnage is always different in everyone of the.
You read pretty good for a knuckle-draggin wrench turner. Now, in all sincerity, congrats, it's well earned. Why are channels like yours so popular? I'm sure that list is endless, for me, I love turning wrenches and would love to take over one of your stalls. You also explain stuff in a way that I think most can understand. Finally, from this gimpy disabled Vet, congrats on taking an interest, if not a passion, and turning it into a business. You, sir, are a hero because you are setting an example for others to follow. You may not notice the flack I throw at you in the countless comments but they are all in jest. Take care of yourself, your family and congrats on the upcoming arrival.
I trapped a ratchet wrench against the frame like that removing the power steer pump on my son’s Lexus. Not a fun day. Thanks for all the great videos! I think came in at around 1,700 subs and it’s been awesome to watch the channel grow. Congratulations and thanks again!
I did that back in the day when I was around 17 or 18 years old. I was replacing the fuel pump on a 73 Monte Carlo It takes a easy job and turns it into not so easy job. The joys of things that you do only once hopefully !
@@TheTheomax funny thing is I wrench all the time and shoulda known better. Just got over my skis that day. Fortunately, my big red pry bar bailed me out but the panic was real for a few minutes. 😂
I just want to say that you inspire me. I've always loved taking old broken down stuff and rebuilding and restoring it. Anything from dirtbikes, quads and old broken down cars. After finding your channel and seeing how much you love what you do and how successful you have been, it's truly inspiring. It has given me the inspiration to take my little side hustle/hobby and grow it into a full blown business of my very own. Thank you for all that you have shared.
After finishing the video all I can say is wow. Understanding how insane your operation is. And how absolutely down to earth you seem I'm glad randomly I saw the viper v10 teardown pop up on my recommendation. Of all the channels I'm subscribed to, yours is definitly one I anticipate notifications from! I love it man. Also, what a dream job being a dismantler at your shop would be for me. I've been working on cars and building tools up for about 8 years now and it's just nothing but fun turning wrenches and figuring out how things work. Everything I saw in this video would be so cool to be apart of! Lucky employees you have. And congrats on your new baby! Looks like on top of everything you're a great family man!
Congrats, Eric! I'm an old 60's and70's gearhead and electronics tech that has never explored the builds of modern engines. I understand the concepts but I have never been able to disassemble or reassemble one. This is where you come in. I appreciate the opportunity to watch your process. I bet I'm not the only one!
"That sound", is that anything like "that smell" ? It's hard to believe there's a song that has the words "oak tree you're in my way". Congratulations on making 100K subscribers. I think I've been with you for most of the duration.
It is so great to meet you "properly". All you've done is be yourself; you just come across in the right way, i.e. you are "accessible" if you like. What you do, and present to us, is entertaining and interesting to a lot of people. I look forward to seeing more! (Oh, and congrats on baby #2!!)
I'm in the UK and I love waking up to your videos every Sunday morning. You're a humble guy that doesn't fluff the content with unnecessary BS and you're a pleasure to watch. Keep it up and I have my fingers crossed for you and the 1 million sub video. Congratulations for the new family addition too. 👏 keep it real dude. 👍🤘
Your humor and casual approach makes your channel head and shoulders above the so-called competition. And it’s clean… no profanity or obscene comments.
Huge, HUGE, congrats on everything you've achieved. From the entertaining RUclips channel to the awesome family. And a huge thanks for the content you provide
What a great video! Thanks for taking the time to make it and thanks for all your great content. You also sound like a great guy to work for and I bet this video might lead some new employees your way. And if I were you I’d absolutely find someone to edit your videos and just work with them to understand your desires. Time is a precious thing and you’re arguably in your prime of life.
Congrads on getting to 100k Eric, for something you've started to show people what you've come across with a LS conversion. And now you've bought us into your world, showing the fun you get with exploring the destruction of each engine you find. Don't change a thing and we'll all come along for ride!! Always looking forward to your videos and congratulations again to you and your wife on the news of your second child.
There is something to be said about how fun and sobering it is to see the carnage caused by abusing these engines that we can take for granted sometimes.
People love you because you are genuine and you allow yourself to be human. As far as the cam in that engine, Chevy had a problem for a while with cams going flat....
Loved the tour. I bet you never thought you'd acquire an entire full time job when you got the notion to "put a video on RUclips". Sometimes worthwhile things come at you from a pretty off hand place. Please don't forget to be good to yourself and your family. Cheers Eric and long may you prosper.
Wow...behind the scenes, AND a birth announcement video all rolled into one. I'm sure there's a story behind "the Mazda dealership I got fired from...", but it looks like it was a blessing in disguise. You've made quite an amazing business there, and employing 20 people is a testament to your hard work. Much future success, and continue doing whatever you're doing...it's working.
Eric, CONGRATULATIONS on the new arrival. That is so awesome! Also, sharing that award with us is just so you. I don't think I've ever seen that before. Just know, this is therapy for so many of us, and I'm not kidding; keep it up. The "sounds" are sooooo satisfying...LOL. Not sure why, but one of the reasons you are so popular is that we all like taking things apart for some reason. When I was four, I disassembled my mom's dishwasher with a single screwdriver just "because" to see what was in there and how it worked. Not a single thought about putting it back together. We're all four...
I have never been more happy to see a channel grow. Thanks for all your hard work and time. Your channel has definitely made me less afraid to work on my car.
So happy to support this channel. Thanks for burning that late night oil, giving us some great content and insight into a world we don't get to see. I've watched hours of your videos while in the shop with my dad, kind of crazy. When I subbed at 20k subscribers, I knew you'd move up. Honestly if you didn't, I'm sure that myself and others would've kept watching anyways. Congrats man!
I really wish you would have dubbed the bolt cracking and/or the impact sounds over the unpacking of the award box. Thanks for the authentic, humble, self you portray on your channel. Your quips, comments, and vulnerability are refreshing. Congratulations!
Those heads are what we called "Heavy Heads" - They are easy to ID by the strait line casting along the bottom side of the head from front to the back - The lower casting on the lighter heads bump in and out about 3/8 of a inch towards the valves making them more acceptable to cracking - And back then those cam shafts were known to be soft - great channel
Eric, I am so proud of you for getting 100K!!! You should be proud of yourself!!! You and your employees do a great job with fixing cars, dismantling cars and keeping inventory!! You also got a special module programming room also!! Keep up the good work! It was nice on the video to give us the viewers a tour of your junkyard facility and family!! I hope you get a bigger property soon to keep up with demand!
Been a subscriber since Eric O from SMA recommended your channel and I've enjoyed watching ever since . Congrats on hitting 100,000 subscribers , your content , whether it's teardowns or your vehicles you collect and repair/rebuild , has been awesome . Here's to 250,000 ( and beyond ) ! ps , congrats on the new little one on the way !
Congrats Eric. I am from South Africa. I am an old school mechanic. I know a lot of stuff about cars, but love you're channel and the way you make tearing down engines fun to watch. I learn something new every day. Learn from you as well. We are always learning. Keep the formula that makes you successful. You are funny real and humble and love you're work and family. You are blessed. May God be with you and youre Family.
I enjoy everything you do on this channel. I remember subbing at 30k and bingeing all your vids. congrats on 100k and CONGRATS ON BABY NUMBER 2. thank you for finding time out your busy schedule to entertain all of us.
Eric we love your content because there is no HYPE and you are a natural at it. The world, life is swamped with hype, so refreshing and unusual to watch something that is just plain, simple, honest, entertaining and informative. Well done👍
Eric, this is easily my favorite channel, just simply due to the passion and love you put into what you do. Congratulations on 100k and the second child!
I'm currently laid up from my car carrier job with some nasty injuries from a bad motorcycle accident. I found your channel and I've since been passing the time, watching your autopsies. I'm learning a lot and I'm fascinated by your intimate knowledge of automobiles and engines. I really enjoy this channel and your tear downs. Congratulations on this milestone and I wish you continued success in the future. Looking forward to the 1 Millionth. Thanks for sharing with us. 😊👌
Your channel was recommended to me and I ignored it for a while because I tend to watch videos of 20 minutes or so in length. Since I started watching, I have been binge watching. I like your style, sense of humor, editing and the carnage and destruction in the engines you take apart. Thanks for taking the time to do what you do.
What a great video and what wonderful milestones for you in all respects. I never thought watching someone tear down engines could be entertaining but you have made it work brilliantly. Also really appreciate the behind the scenes of your business. I think you have shown that the salvage business can still be succesful if you adapt to modern times through online sales channels (something a lot of salvage businesses that have failed refused to do). Well done.
Great channel, 100k is definitely well deserved. Congrats a wonderful family and more to come. This fantastic and safe car is just the right choice. Looking forward to many other great videos.
You have a great channel ! I’m not surprised you hit 100,000 subs! It’s all you dude! You are doing it right. You capture your viewers interest instantly. No stupid music or time wasted with trying to convince anyone you are some idiotic reality star. You have a good and honest approach. Some people appreciate honesty and hard work . We’re wrenching with you. Keep up the good work and don’t be afraid to give yourself a little credit. The appeal of your channel is that your just a regular guy who is passionate about cars. Your genuine honesty and enthusiasm is contagious. That’s why we watch and subscribe.
Congrats Eric, on the channel's 100k subs. But more importantly on your second the little one. You have a beautiful wife and little one. Your channel has grown because you hit a niche within the youtube community. Your channel showcases what the inside of engines look like after you've torn them down. It's really cool to see you tearing down engines. Most of us don't get to see that. Plus your sense of humor is a great bonus. Keep up the good work. BUT please, just once say debris with the strong S, just to piss some people off. You do deserve it. You seem like a genuinely cool guy with some good skills on tearing stuff apart... and buying more cars than you need. HAHAHA!
Hey Eric, well done man! I look forward every Sunday afternoon to viewing your latest. You're obviously a hard charger and I wish you and your family every success going forward.
I must say, I expected your shop and your business to be much smaller than it is. It is exponentially LARGER than I believed and to say the least, with rhe amount of work you do, I'm amazed you have time for making RUclips videos. But I do appreciate the time you put into it and that I can wait for the next teardown.
Just keep doing what your doing, don't let an upload schedule force you to compromise your style. If it takes longer to edit your vids and post them because real work is happening, that's fine.
Congratulations on reaching this milestone AND a big congratulations on your baby announcement!! I think it would be great if you got together with Derek from vice grip garage to work on a car or two!! Love watching your videos! Keep them coming!
Congrats on the upcoming addition to our family. Congrats on the 100k subs. I really enjoy watching your videos from the other side of the world for one main reason, no BS. You get straight to it with no long opening scene that I would have to skip through. Also your editing is done very well. You speak well on camera and show your mistakes. Keep up the good work young fella.
What have you done to deserve 100,000 subscribers? Well, you consistently produce highly informative and entertaining videos. And you fo it every week! You share a lot with us. I loved the video about your BMW addiction. Do I have a criticism? Yes, you gotta work on defeating those dipstick tunes. 😁
Obviously Erick you do things that people like. There is a lot of people doing the same thing as you but the humor and interesting content is your asset. A lot of persons are expecting to see how most engines are disassembled and how they fail. The battle against dip sticks is epic and the flying water pumps are another point in your favor. So you do your thing with a good mixture of knowledge and humor interesting and funny. That makes you unique. I congratulate you on your excellence and yes you deserve the winning.
Well-deserved. You get to play in a playground--of your own making!--that few of us will ever have access to, and you bring us along for the ride with humor and no BS. Bravo.
Eric, there is so much I can say. But there's too much good to say about you. I'm only 45 years old, and I had to retire from working on cars. But I have to say you are the most humblest person I've seen in awhile. But my comment is about you and not me. Even though I work 25 years on cars, you can't learn everything. Watching your videos shows just how much goes into all the different manufacturers. I'm honestly happy for you because I like your videos. I usually don't make long comments on any video. But I must say I'm very happy for you, and hope the best for you. You do a great job and I appreciate learning from you. Even though now I can no longer be a mechanic. Watching your videos makes me feel better about myself. I wish you the best and hope that you become very successful (even though I know you are) keep up the great work. I'm very happy for you.
Good attitude: ✅ Doesn't sponsor items or things he doesn't use: ✅ No click bait tiles ✅ Isn't narcissistic ✅ Informative ✅ I think this is a good summery why you hit 100,000 subscribers. You also have quiet a unique video's
one of my favorite channels, if not the best. quality content, no bs clickbait, no filler, etc. and i do the same business as you so seeing your shop helps me market and structure my business off of an already successful platform, im very small 2500sqft shop, its a dream to get a facility of your scale. im doing strictly VW/Audi parts and service as of now. BC Autoworks, LLC is the name. just wanted to share, you are one of a kind. Congrats!
I was a Subaru tech for 12 years-happies days of my life & was the head tech in the shop-eaiest the vehicles to work on as all the vehicles were the same. Stupid me for leaving as these were the simpliest vehicles to work on. Good luck to yoou & keep up the good work. I remender when i was a tech for 20 years & wish I could go back to those days.
Very clean and organized for a car dismantling yard. I was raised with friends who had a junkyard. We loved cutting front wheel drive cars in half and racing around the yard. Good times…
Eric, I really dig your business. As someone who grew up with a grandfather that had two auto repair shops, (one mechanical repair, one body shop), I can appreciate how hard you work to be successful. As a BMW owner, e39M5, e70X5M, 1999 K1200rs, I will start looking at your web page for replacement parts, especially for the M5. Good on camera presence by the way.
I got a chuckle when I saw the camshaft and lifters! For some reason Chevrolet's are notorious for lifter and camshaft wear. Back in the day I can't tell you how many tear downs I did where cam lobs looked like poorly ground bearing journals. I used to replace them with Crane, Isky, or Crower cams and lifters and never looked back.
I never thought someone would do something like this! I love what you do also! Please share what others are also sharing! You're most welcome! The pleasure is all mine!
I just tore down my sbc 350 that seized last summer in my boat. Your channel helped me know what to do and what to expect and look for during the whole process. I can't thank you enough.
This is what used to keep America going for many, many years-
a quality, dedicated Mom & Pop business. That's wonderful news
for you and Wife.
You deserve all the success you’ve worked so hard for.
Ah the old ratchet trap. Especially when you can’t move what is blocking it.
Really nice set up you have. I couldn’t even imagine having my own business like that. Congratulations you put in a lot of work to get there.
Guys like Eric and their energy and drive to rip into life is what makes the world go around !
"That sound", is that anything like "that smell" ? It's hard to believe there's a song that has the words "oak tree you're in my way". Congratulations on making 100K subscribers. I think I've been with you for most of the duration.
Good job...! Thanks, keep up your awesomeness and go enjoy some nature today...! Don't forget to compliment someone today...
It is so great to meet you "properly". All you've done is be yourself; you just come across in the right way, i.e. you are "accessible" if you like. What you do, and present to us, is entertaining and interesting to a lot of people. I look forward to seeing more! (Oh, and congrats on baby #2!!)
I've never been so proud of someone I don't know before. Very well earned. 1 Million is just around the corner!
Thank you!!
“I would never deprive you of you weekly tear down” hit me home ❤️
The car community is a strong force
Eric, the last 15 seconds brought a tear... You seem like a genuinely good person.
This is a channel that I just find zen watching. I love seeing engines that I don't normally see the inside of. Keep up the awesome vidyas!
Some people do yoga, some meditate… I watch these videos. Fascinating and somehow soothing. Great content dude. I’m hooked.
They WERE soft. replaced many. Crane Cam used to sell case hardened replacements that were much better...
there still soft in the LS.. 350 is a rubbish engine.
I didn't understand the ASMR phenomenon until I started watching your channel. It has all the right sounds to get excited over.
Why this happened is exactly what showed at the end of this video, your humility is so refreshing. God Bless you and your family
Thank you! Appreciate the comment. Had no idea south main recommended my channel! That’s wild, what video was it?
I am trying to work out when he got the time to "arrange" for that baby to get produced !!
I hope you hit a million. I watch all your videos all the way through, and am always entertained.
Well done.
You deserve everyone of us Eric. Well deserved award and all 106000 of us hope you just keep on doing what you do.
HAHAHA!
CONGRATULATIONS 🎉. Hard work does pay off and thanks for the hours of entertainment you provide your viewers!
I am forever delighted by the "pew-pew" noises when pulling head bolts. This one sounded like a blaster fight in Star Wars...
I’m so proud of you man! Been following since the first 500 subs. You do a great job and have a great unique style. Keep up the great work Erik!!!
Believe it or not there is a lot of people out here that find what you do as very interesting, keep doing what you do and keep growing!
Well-deserved. You get to play in a playground--of your own making!--that few of us will ever have access to, and you bring us along for the ride with humor and no BS. Bravo.
That was awesome! Thanks for the tour. Thank you for sharing the play button and your family with us, you're an amazing young man! CONGRATULATIONS.
I love your tear down videos, they help me to de-stress from running my own company.
And it’s helped me understand how engines blow up!!!
Your modesty and sense of humor makes it all work
Eric, there is so much I can say.
Good attitude: ✅
Doesn't sponsor items or things he doesn't use: ✅
No click bait tiles ✅
Isn't narcissistic ✅
Informative ✅
I think this is a good summery why you hit 100,000 subscribers. You also have quiet a unique video's
Congrats on the 100K subscribers (and mine to help you along to a million)! Obviously, you love what you're doing. Keep up the good work!
one of my favorite channels, if not the best. quality content, no bs clickbait, no filler, etc. and i do the same business as you so seeing your shop helps me market and structure my business off of an already successful platform, im very small 2500sqft shop, its a dream to get a facility of your scale. im doing strictly VW/Audi parts and service as of now.
The block is going off to get machined and I can start building an engine for the first time in my life, by watching your videos in reverse
"You're welcome"
I just like what you do, and you seem a really nice chap. Can't ask for much more than that!
So "Thank you"!
