Have watched all of your mobile tutorial videos and they are all amazing. Wanted to watch this latest one to double check I wasn’t missing out on anything but honestly, every single video adds value for anyone new to web/mobile design. Your teaching style is ace and the way you explain everything is always easy to digest and conveyed with clear explanation and reasoning. Coming from a graphic design background into web design has been a journey, and your videos have helped me do it, thank you!

I appreciate you tackling this subject and perhaps you are in someway beholden to Wix, BUT the mobile design functions in Wix are BAD and really I think you need to acknowledge that. Why has not Wix not improved the mobile design? You and everyone who uses Wix, in my opinion, should be demanding that Wix tackle this problem. Previously I designed my desktop site to make it work on mobile but now I'm forced to design in the mobile section and I turn to your video for help and ok its helpful. But the fact is the mobile design function shouldn't have to be so clunky, so different from desktop, so...frustrating and time consuming. Does anyone else agree? Thanks

Totally agree I’m having all sorts of issues with mobile , desktop is fine
100% this is unacceptable. 90% of all traffic is on mobile and the websites look like theyre from the 2010s

V. Good class. Pls keep making lessons for mobile. In india 80-90% ppl browse on mobile than desk top. Also wix should add mobile friendly features like sticky objects, CTA buttons, Paralex, individual page headers and so on

Subscribed! Always helpful, but one question - is there really no way to add unique strips on mobile? Im trying to replace a desktop hero section that has a video with a static image hero section for mobile but when I hide the desktop strip I cant add anything in its place. Don't really know how to get around this. I even tried hiding an image behind the strip but my mobile editor collapses that white space once I hide the strip element

Wow! This video was super informative. I really appreciate that you gave specifics like, move 2px over from the edge to ensure it won’t be cut off on different mobile devices and giving us “permission” to delete elements. Also, you approach this not only from a technical standpoint, but from an actual design perspective, creating a beautifully designed functional site in the end.
I want to bribe you though. LOL 😂 could you please make a video on how to embed a private/unlisted Vimeo video on Wix so that it shows up properly on mobile? I have videos on my member’s only pages and it really looks wonky on mobile displaying the vertical and horizontal scroll bars. It cuts off the player only showing a teeny part of the upper right hand corner of the video.
If you could make a video on how to fix this, you’d have a new faithful subscriber 💗

How to add the cart so it works on the mobile
When I put the language button on my site. It's on the home page via the desktop version. But people mainly use the mobile version of the site and it shows up on the menu page. Which makes absolutely no sense. Since the first page which is the home page should actually have it. People have been complaining to me because they can't change the language and don't know where to go to find it.
my wix page does not look like yours can write to me why that is?

Hi there, I am just now starting to build a website and it occurred to me to come onto RUclips to try and learn stuff. So a person designs a website in desktop editor mode and then goes into the mobile editor and makes significant changes to make it viewable on a phone. Are those changes only viewable when looking at the website from a phone and the desktop version remains the same? It's kind of like having two websites in a way? Because things placed on the website (such as new text or photos added or rearranged ) when in mobile editor mode won't show up when the website is being looked at from a computer screen? Things done in mobile editor mode only can be seen when the website is viewed from a phone? I felt a little disheartened tonight by making a web page that I was reasonably pleased with and then checking it out in mobile mode and it looked like a complete disaster. It made me wish I would have started out in mobile mode in the first place. Thanks.
I also want to know whether changing something on Mobile version would effect the desktop version or not...
@@phylectures2023 From what I have observed you can change things on mobile without it effecting the desktop version.
But if you make changes on the desktop version it can change the mobile version. in other words...if you have the mobile version all dialed in
to the way you want it to be and then make changes to the desktop version that can alter your mobile version so that you would have to dial it in all over again. But if you have your desktop version all dialed in and then make changes to your mobile version that will not effect your desktop at all.

Can someone help me? My website is ready but in the mobile version the header is very long, it's just one big blank space and I can't make it smaller. I did exactly as in this video but it doesn't work. I don't know what to do.

Am I the only person who finds all this obvious? The BIG problem with Wix on mobile is the menu. The menu on a computer view of your site is great, but for some reason Wix want to limit you to only a few letters on the menu, so the topic of the drop down is a few letters of one word, yet the drop down list is fine, just not the drop down TOPICS. The result is a rubbishy drop down menu, with totally unclear HEADINGS,
As someone who enjoys your content, PLEASE get rid of the distracting background music. I’m so focused as a newbie, and so trying to concentrate that the music just makes it hard to absorb your info. Also, if I speed up the playback speed on RUclips, while watching your video, the music becomes, distorted and hard to listen to. Anyway, my two Cents!
