Optional services are Round trip shipment cost=$30 and SMS cost of $5 ( if you want SMS tracking). Total for all of that is : 132.38 ( 3.50% convenience fee applies to the total). Actually my brother lives in australia, he sent his passport to VFS sydney for pcc, it was supposed to be delivered by 10 january but it was lost in transist..!! and now he applied for new passport on 18 january but still he havenet received his new passport.. he wedding is due this month in india
after packing all the doc and with the label sticked should i have to go to fedex courier and pay money and send the package to VFS or i just have to send the courier without paying since i already paid in VFS site .

If the label generated is a multi-time use label then you could. Generally, labels are one time use only. You gotta send using your own paid label, write Tatkal on the front and also other important details if you have like VFS tracking ID, File number and application reference number. This information is not from Embassy. This is what I would have done.

In your first step of submitting application online and generate ARN... I realized I made a mistake after submitting.. So can I fill another application again?
It says handwritten not allowed then how do we fill the forms ? Should we edit the forms online ? Could you please clarify I see all these forms are in off format
The application will be printed as pre-filled with the information that you entered on the portal. Annexure-E is fillable pdf. On the affidavits, the bank information can be handwritten.

I just used fedex envelope that they mentioned on their approved list. Did not sent another envelope for return shipment but attached the printout of return label
Thanks! I think the label VFS creates is for FedEx. So, you are right, we need to paste the outgoing label on FedEx envelope and place the return label inside with other documents. Since, FedEx envelopes are free, VFS can have one to return the new passport.

I think application (ARN) on the government website is valid for 60 or 90 days . But I would suggest to send within 2-3 weeks.
