It's been a source of great stree for me. Im in my mid 20s and i feel like time is passing me by. I'm getting my associates next spring, and i would love to secure an internship so that by the time i get my bachelor's I would have some experience under my belt, but a lot of employers won't even give you an internship without a bachelor's degree and I don't know what to do. It sucks because 4 years of stress to get a bachelor's and your cant event profit from it until you spend another 2 years getting some experience for penny's on the dollar. Its really not fair. But i cant began to tell you how much i appreciate your channel. Keep doingup the good work brother
I'm the opposite! I have the experience and not the education. I worked my way up at an HVAC company and was trained by corporate to be the financial controller. Im nervous that when I'm ready to leave this company, I'll have a hard time finding a job in this industry.
There is always a bit of a learning curve when you join a new company. But I've done it a few times, and so can you. I'd recommend you check out my Controller Academy course.
@@TheFinancialController Thank you for the response. I will definitely look into it!! It'll be a year in this position for me in November so I'm still a baby controller lol... but I feel like I have a great grasp on the concepts. It's the interpretation of the statements that confuse me a bit, but your videos help so much!
¿Bill, Is working in accounts receivables enough experience to get hired in a general accounting role? Also my problem is getting the interview. I never have an opportunity to explain myself in an interview. I have put my experience reconciling deferred revenue and other accomplishments, but it makes no difference so far. Granted so far I have applied to 29 jobs and I am looking for remote work mainly.
@@petertenay1785 It is a bachelors in accounting. However I got my first job in billing with just an associates degree. A relative knew someone and she got me an interview. I still had to interview well so I wasn't handed the job. You can also get remote jobs in collections. Preferably B2B collections. I was able to get experience reconciling large accounts worth 6 figures there as well as other things. Just some ideas.
This is horrible advice. College courses and online courses don't mean anything. I was unemployed for 3 years because of this. Last year, I finally got a job though
