The best part of the five Autobot logos is that they suggest that Megatron only ever killed five Autobots in his life over the course of millions of years. What a powerful leader, huh?
No wonder why Starscream wanted to take his place as Decepticon leader.
Also those five Autobots were probably from the 1986 movie.
Maybe its only the amount he's killed since his last reformatting?
Maybe it was the number of autobot leaders he killed. Or autobot that worth mentioning.
All things considered when it comes to this series, killing 5 autobots is pretty good
TJ, you forgot to mention the ONE redeeming quality of this toy: he makes an amazing paperweight.
yes but the G1 formers are the same without the diecast
the arbiter no the real one redeeming quality is that he is excellent for throwing at people when they piss you off

The biggest irony about this? The new Combiner Wars Megatron has the arms transform more or less the same way to form it's turret ...and the turret STILL turns! So there was no excuse for that.
Also CW Megatron looks and plays a whole hell of a lot nicer in pretty much all ways :P

Yes, the autobot symbols are for autobots killed, either representing one autobot, or increments of five or ten. However, on the gunship that they used to film the transformers movie, the symbol was painted in white to not stand out more than your own faction's symbol, and all kill symbols are in one area. If they wanted to be more accurate, they'd have the decepticon symbol in its own traditional color, and the autobot symbols clustered in one area, smaller, and in white. Information source: I've seen the plane that was used in the michael bay movie.

Ive found one semi-redeeming quality from this toy........it comes with a neat little stand you can take and use for a different megs fig more worthy of the name.

Wow, this is simply abysmal. I didn't think Transformers, past G1, could get this limited or this crappy. In the era when this was being made, we got figures like Cybertron Optimus Prime, Hot Shot, the Classics line was starting up, some years before came Unicron... there's no excuse for this.
Luckily figures like Titanium Ultra Magnus, War Within Optimus, War Within Megatron and a few others were actually decent... but man, this line blew chunks a lot of the time.

If you ever find yourself planning to buy this toy, talk to a licensed mental care professional. Then hit yourself over the head and go buy siege Megatron instead.

As for the toy itself, it looks like you can basically play with it in tank mode. Consdider it from the perspective of a particularly forgiving and imaginative child: You can pretend it's a hover tank, overlook the inability to turn the turret, and move it around while saying "Kaboom" and knocking your Supreme Cheetor over. The tank mode has about as much functionality as a Happy Meal Toy, but a kid can do a lot with a happy meal toy.
There are fewer kids who have the ability to play pretend with a pile of plastic limbs. but, they exist, and I think I was one of them. They key, though, is that the more a kid has to use their own imagination to make a toy work for they playtime, the lower you expect the price to be. Right? You get a Happy Meal Toy for the price of a happy meal.
This thing is a Happy Meal Toy for fifteen dollars.
No, strike that. Happy Meal Toys are built solid to withstand rough play. This thing has all the articulation of a happy meal toy, without the durability, for fifteen dollars.
though those are at least fairly durable.

His design appears similar to g1 Quake. Perhaps if it were more stable, it could've been okay for kitbash.
That's kinda why I decided to feature him in this episode the way I did, I think the toy gets a really bad rap and honestly I don't find it bad enough to feature on Plastic Addict, though I dont find him interesting enough for a normal review, either.
May I remind you, siege Megatron has almost the exact same transformation and still managed to have a rotating turret and working joints. The wheels still majorly suck though, I don’t think there’s any conceivable universe where those @&$#% things go right.

Ah a time when $15 was expensive for a Transformer of that size. Certainly would be nice to get more than a set of Micromasters for that these days.

Armada prime was also very revolutionary for its time with the automorphing trailer, as well as a having an awesome combination with jetfire and overload
It's kinda an updated Star Convoy, as it can combine with other figures as well as a base mode for Mini-Cons, replicating Micromaster bases.
Actually, from what I have heard is that the automorphing trailer is a potential fire hazard if it doesn't work right.
I've gotten this a lot before, and basically, I cant afford to buy bad toys from every line out there. I'm a Transformer collector first and foremost, so that's where the series is staying.

Hot Shot misses every shot. Megatron falls apart anyway.

+Ferris Welker And Jolt is okay to be honest. Also, Hot Shot got a good repaint in Armada as well, so if yellow bugs you, go for red and flames.
Megatron will have fallen apart by the time hot shot hits him so this is kind of pointless

Actually, you're supposed to paint your *OWN* symbol for each enemy killed. An example being the Nazi planes, they'd have a bomb symbol for each sortie flown and a swastika for each confirmed kill.
I can forgive the turret not rotating at least, it seems were pretty lucky when a Transformers tank's turret can actually rotate. :P

As soon as the bit at the end started I felt an Airachnid cameo coming. Great video, I'm truly sorry you had to suffer for 20 minutes with this thing (plus all the inevitable cut footage). Then again, I'm sure you're sorry too.

I've been a fan for a while and I can honestly say I'm right there waiting like the rest of your loyal fans who just can't wait to see what you do next. I've watched this a number of times, and I still love it.
I think the robot mode makes sense as a training dummy for a real Transformers toy.
11:31 actually, on some tanks, you can see through it, the Wolverine for example had that design trait... as well as an open lid but hey it was still considered a very effective tank destroyer

I actually saw this guy in a comic shop a couple years ago. He was on a rack of secondhand Transformers, and ironically was one of the only two complete toys on the rack.
I got Armada Cyclonus instead, way better investment.

i've never seen titanium megatron before. when you were ragging on the vehicle mode i was all 'that's not so bad, there;'s many worse in g1' but that robot mode is a horror.

Poor naive TJ, he had no idea the hell of cyberverse that would come in the future.
Cyberverse is at least aware of what it is, it doesn't hide the fact that it's a cheap gimmick line. This was sold as a collector's item based on it's retro diecast parts, nothing about it should be as bad as it is.
I suppose, but is it better or worse? We have to wait ages in between waves of good stuff like Siege meanwhile the shelves are overrun with cheaper than McDonald's toy figures.

Hey, TJ, so now that you're done with this top 5 list, I just wanted to put this out there as food for thought...have you ever considered doing a Plastic Addict for a non-Transformer toy? The Kamen Rider OOO figuarts and Decade FFR figures come to mind.

Jeez, man, I went to school at Florida A&M and it is nothing but hills, steep, coronary-inducing-if-you-have-no-vehicle, monster, supreme-combiner class, uber hills (what I am going for here is BIG hills). If you went into my first dorm, 2 bedrooms and a hall thick, from the front ("Over the veranda," he said sipping his mint julep) you were going into the third floor, through a back door and it was the first floor.
