The year is 2038, Jones has just been arrested for crashing his Bentley into a parade of school children while high on meth, crack and dick pills and he is very concerned(about his legacy, not the kids) but is sure it’s just god testing him. The judge orders him to give another 150 speeches to children about how not to be Jon Jones when they grow up.

The bodycam footage of Jones talking with the cop is absolutely hilarious. It feels like the cop is working on his stand up routine by hitting Jones with zinger after zinger, and Jones gets progressively more pissed off as the interaction continues. I highly recommend watching the whole thing.

I’m glad you talked about his testosterone levels for the first fight with Cormier. It’s clear he cheated for that fight too. There’s no way an elite athlete in his 20s would have those abnormal T levels. He was probably okay with doing cocaine during training camp because he had the confidence knowing that he’d be fine in the fight either way.

It's an aspect of the Jones story that has been memory holed over the years, but it counters the excuses we've been fed by guys like rogan that Jon just fucked up and accidently took coke that was tainted steroids of w/e. It has been an ongoing issue for several years.
Cormier’s t-levels were absolutely insane too, so that shouldn’t play a factor for Jones alone.
He said he did coke or drink before a fight so Incase he lost, he could look himself in the mirror and say that wasn’t his best version of himself . Some weird shit

@Chris Schipper most are about fighters I used to watch so yeah really . The new fighters I don’t care about but until 3 or 4 years ago I watched all MMA events for 15+ years which makes it a part of life I guess getting interested in the majority of fighters

Jones is the only champ in UFC history that has about 17 * next to each title win. It sure sounds like 30% of his wins happened while on some sort of juice. T. Coke. Clomid. Letro. THC. Turinabol. I’d question whether he was ever clean for any fights… he might be the most talented fuckup in sports history.
That's the thing, how much of the win can be attributed to him vs his PEDs. He barely won some fights, in the absence of PEDs you could argue he'd have lost.

I’ve got about 5 minutes left on this video at the moment but, I have to say…you’ve done a remarkable job of laying out and explaining the duplicity of Jon Jones for the layman that may not be quite as “balls deep” in the MMA world as some of us are. I’d imagine this would be utterly fascinating and engaging even for those not quite as in to the sport…that’s not an easy thing to pull off.

DC’s story in all this is pretty tragic. He was one fight away from everything and it kept slipping through his fingers, for years. Whether he’d have won, idk, but it’s a shame it never happened.

So this may be my own personal life bleeding into my perception of others, as I recently concluded after much confusion that my ex suffers from the same condition, but have you considered that JJ is a narcissist?
I know you mention this, but your description showed a lack of understanding for what narcassism actually is. I had this same perception previously as well, so not meaning that to crap on you. I don't mean that in a pejorative sense, I mean clinically a narcissist. If so, then it doesn't matter what punishment he receives. He will always find reasons to, at least internally, blame others and make himself the good guy. That is what struck me in your description this time. (3rd time watching this video, I enjoy your productions that much.)
The way in which he always casts himself in this positive role every time. The impulsive decision making. Tendency towards addiction is a common comorbidity. Might be an interesting thing to evaluate his reactions on for cases of narcissistic rage.
I don't know his story well enough to be able to point to specific incidents, but when others attempt to hold them accountable they will typically attempt to lash out and assert their own superiority. This frequently takes form in belittling comments and attempts to show dominance because what it being hurt is their own fragile inner ego. It is induced by an inner feeling of shame.
One thing that makes narcissists so difficult to deal with is because they are always the hero in the narrative of their own mind, you have a very hard time convincing them that they have a problem. In my case, it would also mean the ex would do seemingly really dumb things that would expose their lie. Why? Because they are the good guy, so how could anything bad come from a situation they created. They wouldn't even consider that as a possibility, and so they would do things without any consideration for any potential outcome.
Disassociative episodes would also present themselves. I just thought they had a bad memory, but if anything happened that put them in a bad light they genuinely would not remember the circumstance. Either that, or they would warp their memory so as to make them the good guy.
I know this is all armchair psychology, and he shows some self awareness at times. (Hard to tell if that is PR firms though.) However, having recently had to deal with this reality and how it caused me to misjudge so many of my former partner's actions: I cannot help but apply that same lense to this situation, as in many cases JJ's actions do not make sense within the broader context of his other actions without there being some other mitigating internal element to his decision making and psychological process.
I was audibly laughing at that 24 hour rehab. I lived in a sober living home for 6 months. Ill tell you right now. I should have stayed the 9 months.

The difference between Izzy and Jon is that Izzy is likable.
Jon is a narsassistic POS who's lucky. He's been given more chances than any other UFC champ because he's able to ACT like a nice guy... Meanwhile he's beating his baby momma.
Neh, hes a predictably unpredictable sociopat with a boatload of talent. Guy is insanely tough too but There is nothing cryptical about him. Doping gives you an insane ammount of edge like recovery time,faster reflexes and thinking also a strength boost of up to 30%. We dont know were the talent ends and doping beginns due to hes actions so i cant give him the gratest title because its impossible to truely know.
Except he did take them and therefore can't be the greatest. We don't know that things would have gone the same if he didn't have an unfair edge against some of his opponents. Demetrius Johnson is a much better candidate for goat status all things considered
