- Y'all have been requesting a Period 101 video for the longest time, so we did our best to answer the most common period-related questions that you've been asking for!
EVERY woman has a period, has THAT time of month where they go into their menstrual cycle. While no one would describe it as an absolute joy, there are certainly ways to make it a little less dreadful! Knowing and understanding how to use the must-have products, such as pads (and the different types of pads), tampons and other products, makes a massive difference.
Hopefully there is some period advice in here that is helpful to you, and make sure to ask your doctor, mom, sister, or anyone close to you in your life when making important decisions around your period.

Ceyla Nesst if your pad shows through your legging then try wearing a smaller and thinner pad. But I only suggest doing this if you'll be running around and doing things the entire day. You'll have to change it more often as well. You could always wear a long t-shirt with your leggings and see if it still shows through. Hope this helps! If you need anything else I'd be glad to help!

I started in class once, I had to open my backpack and wait till no one was looking and quickly grab the pad and put it in my backpack. And ask to go to the bathroom. The rest of the time I started at school it was towards the end of the day and I could wait till I got home.
I got mine in class and luckily it was light so I was ok. But if you need a pad if u have it in class and don’t have one ask ur nurse

I got my first period three days ago. It's finally going away today thank the lord! Now that I've seen this video I realise all the signs were there the entire time. Two days before I got it I was just sobbing in my bed at night for basically no reason at all. I also went running the next day and had this pain in my stomach but it didn't feel like a side stitch so I was really confused. Now it all makes sense. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!

I love this channel because I’m ten, and I started getting discharge like half a year ago and I read in my books that most girls get their periods around a year after and I’m just sitting here just heavy breathing-

I got my period today, there were a lot of sighs that it was coming, but I got mine 3 years before my mom got hers so it was pretty unexpected. Also my mom died about a year ago, I live with my dad and my brother so it can get a little frustrating when I need to talk about girl stuff. Plus none of my friends have their periods, but I'm finding a way through all this. This video was a great help!

Sorry about your mom. My mom started when she was 12 and I started at 10. My mom figured it would be 11 or 12 since girls usually follow their mom but found out it’s not always true.

I was at mutual for church and i go to the bathroom and there was just a little bit so i just ignored it because I knew that that only meant that I was close to starting.The next day at school, I went to the restroom and I was bleeding. Thank goodness I didn't bleed through.
I was at church camp. I had to ask my counselors. Fortunately it wasn't a very long camp.
I started my period at home. Luckily I was home sick from school that day or else I would have started at school. I was in elementary school back then so no one would have had a pad. I had a man teacher so that was out.

I remember before I got my period I was just curious about what it was like. So to answer your question, It goes for a number of reasons. Much love ❤️

You should have talked about the "menstrual cup" ! Definitely not for beginners (I'm way older than B&B) but it's important that girls know that it does exist for later !
Just in a quick brief : it's a silicone/ medical material cup, like a close funnel that you use like a tampon. You can keep it inside up to TWELVE hours (depends on your flow) then take it off, wash it with water and then put it in again ! I put it in boiling water just before and after that week to get rid of bacteria, that's it !
It's way safer for your body (no chemicals like in pads/tampons) and ecological (no waste) ! When traveling, no needs for a luggage full of protections (you know what I mean 😂), just your cup and you're good !
Think about it when you're getting used to your periods and your body, it's definitely awesome ;)

Stella Brown I was more scarred by my first tampon 😂 I put it in the morning AT HOME and change it in the evening AT HOME ! I don't have to think about it all day long. And if needed (at school for example), I use the bathroom for disabled person where there is always a sink 😉

Why an age limit ? This video is very useful for all girls even if they are young and don't have their period yet ! Your advices are important and should be accessible to everybody, periods is a natural phenomenon not a shame !

Amy Shin but that doesn't make sense. The general age range of Brooklyn and Bailey's audience is 10-17. This video was generally directed at girls in that age range. So what's the point uploading if those people can't even watch it? Not to mention there's nothing even inappropriate about it anyway. It's just girl talk, and it doesn't get inappropriate or sexual. Kelsey Petters I am 13 almost 14 and I literally got my period yesterday. Honestly once you get it, you will probably freak out like I did but DO NOT freak out. I freaked out so much that I ended up passing out...Don't worry about cramps because you can always take Tylenol to help ease the pain. Also I was lucky and so far I haven't really had bad cramps or symptoms so maybe you won't get your period bad. Just remember that everyone is different and try to prepare now and just stay calm and young while you are at it. Also make sure to eat healthy during your period, you might crave bad food but it's always a good idea to eat healthy food because you can easily gain weight during that Time of the month and it can make you feel worse. Just now that every girl goes through this, even your favorite girl celebrity too.Hope this helped!

And my dad didn't let me go outside so I gave him crap about it all day long. And he will come down stairs and say hey what's up with you???
