I wear my Freet Tangas almost every day, they're super comfortable, breathable and grippy. Very happy with my purchase, I've been wearing only barefoot shoes for almost six years now.
Have you ever tested Merrell's barefoot options (Vapor Glove and Vapor Trail)? The vapor glove runs wider than the trail, so I prefer the glove (glove 5 in particular) personally. Both have vibram soles.
Vapor Glove is nice and lightweight, recent models of the Trail have gotten some criticism for thicker & less flexible sole. These were the first barefoot shoes I owned, since then I've mostly switched to Vivo or Lems tho.
Try avancus they are a flat barefoot shoe with alot of padding like a regular shoe aimed towards powerlfters and I thoroughly enjoy them over my vivos which are double the price of the avancus.
Really liked this video ad your channel--just subscribed. Agree about liking some "squish." The price on the Lono Flow went up to $88 (list) since this video. :( What shoe(s) would you recommend for cardio gym classes like Zumba or Step?
For traction i use altama otb. Its a popular gym shoe but also can be flat hiker to fishing boat traction shoe. Solid colors are also kinda fashionable as a sneaker. Size up and wide generally. Altama has a short narrow toe box. I got 8 wide because the 7.5 reg was too tight for long walking.
Unfortunately, SOM is going out of business. I own a pair and they sent an email to their past customers 2 weeks ago. It is too bad, they are my favorite toe-box. They also would resole your shoes for a small fee.
Those Lono barefoot sneakers have basically the exact same upper as Lane Eight - another HK brand. I wonder if they're the same people trying out a different thing or if its a copy using the same factory. The Lono outsole is also basically a copy of nike free RN 2018.
I have multiple set of gym shoes based on the day. Running, Road running, crossfit and lifting. It seems excessive but running in crossfit shoes sucks and squatting in non lifting shoes sucks
Imagine a Russell barefoot moccasin with a wide toe box and a flat sole for a zero drop, but a bit more of a sole for squish. You’d lose some ground feel but I could see the benefits. Tons of bucks, I’d bet.
Honestly you made the African troopers seem a lot more limited than they ended up being… still up for sale with nothing selling out? I set an alarm to buy them… and for what?
@@otterconnor942 brother he talked about “the last ones sold out within 24 hours” and it seems like he knew damn well that wasn’t going to happen this time and still kept selling it as a limited product. Yes I’m happy I still got them, but the misleading marketing is pretty lame ngl
The mint green clown shoes with the hot pink insoles; come on, that can’t be serious. They must be laughing 🤣 thinking that people are buying those and wearing them to the gym.
I must be in the minority of viewers because I don’t actually care about any of the barefoot shoe designs that have been featured on the channel lately. Not my ☕️
It's an underserved niche so I'm glad he's doing it. But I get not caring if you don't do barefoot. However, if you do lift, a barefoot shoe is actually a good call
you dont like xero because you dont like real barefoot shoes. calling your jim greens "barefoot" is serious disrespect to the barefoot world. you do not get the benefit of barefoot shoes with a sole that fucking large.

I just placed an order for a pair of the fudge color ones!👌😎👍Can’t wait to get them on my feet 👣
I love that you're so into looking up different barefoot shoes! Fantastic
Awesome exactly the video I needed rn. Was literally store to store this morning

I'm right there with you man. Love barefoot shoes, but give me some squish.

My closest is full of barefoot shoes, just bought the Treks Airo for my collection
unironically I use Lems primal zens and they have held up extremely well for a couple years of daily and heavy gym wear
Try avancus they are a flat barefoot shoe with alot of padding like a regular shoe aimed towards powerlfters and I thoroughly enjoy them over my vivos which are double the price of the avancus.
Hykes Vivo for me, love the barefoot lifestyle, best decision ever.
Got my goral smugs in this week. they're really nice. I'm glad you convinced them to make unlined sneakers

I've been lifting in the same pair of leather Merrell Vapor Gloves for 3.5 years
Freet Tanga are one of my faves. Thankfully they do offer leather shoes.
You hit my barefoot shoe now I want you to review Tieks!

Can convince Crown Northhampton to create a barefoot sneaker? How cool would that be!
Anyone see the scary face at the beginning of the video?? Nuh uh im watching this at night alone 🤣
Came to see if anyone else caught that 😭. Kinda bizarre.

You should give Flux shoes a try, I've got the trainers and the runners and they're pretty comfy.
Amazing, please do more barefoot stuff!
Rebook Nano X1 would be a good shout here

Altra and Topo Athletics, foot shape with cushion 🦋👣
I have the Topo ST-3 and really liked them! Thinking of getting the ST-5s.
If you didn't review inov-8 then you missed the best shoe out there

@@JJ-zr6fu agreed. My comment was a bit off topic for this video. I commented at the point of the video when he was showing off the African troopers.
Great video!👌😎👍
I really like the barefoot shoe idea. Maybe do a moccasin series.
avancus have the best barefoot gym shoe

@@galvanizedgnome it’s just weird false advertising but go off queen 😂
Well, if they don't sell they won't make more. Don't be upset that you got something you like because they're still making them.

Please review New Balance 574 legacy sneakers made in Asia, please.. 🙏😊👍
Surprised the Vivo JJF workout shoes aren’t a part of these. They designed workout shoes to have more squish than normal
The Motus Strength (JJF or regular) are a great combo of minimalist + lateral stability for crosstraining.
JJF is just a colour pattern it's not a model.
Soms looked cool in hand. I was almost sold until they ended up on the foot…. 😢… 🤡 🦶
Try a Daneson toothpick, everyone in the shop loves them - bit.ly/45YJVBm
I say you just make some barefoot shoes yourself with high-quality leather and vibram
, try wearing wrestling shoes for training 💯 I highly recommend

You’re not the only one. I like heritage boots and quality footwear. I don’t care one bit about the “barefoot” shoes fad.

He tested their cheapest shoe and opined their shoes were cheap based only on the insole for that shoe.
Imho Xeros do vary a lot based on model, some fit way better than others.
