I've never seen anyone use a rotary cutter the way you do. Whatever works! I love this block and will try it soon.
Yes, I know that you are supposed to roll the cutter away from yourself. But it’s more convenient for me to do it the other way around. I got used to do it that way.

Das ist wirklich ein toller Block für Anfänger, danke dafür ihn hier mit allen zu teilen. Aber ich muss auch meckern, man schneidet immer von sich weg, nicht zu sich hin, Verletzungsgefahr. Die Quadrate für die Dreiecke sollten 1/2 Inch größer sein, dann könnte man die Nahtzugabe korrekt schneiden. LG aus Brandenburg ❤
Ich lese Kommentare immer sehr aufmerksam. Und ich bin sehr froh, dass es Feedback zu meinen Zuschauern gibt. Es scheint mir, dass die Nahtzugaben korrekt berechnet sind. Ich habe alles perfekt gemacht. Und mit einem Rollmesser kann ich nicht anders schneiden. Ich weiß, was falsch ist. Tut mir leid!❤
@@themelodyofsewing6369 Wenn Du das Quadrat für Dreiecke berechnest, fügst Du ja eine doppelte Nahtzugabe dazu, also statt 1/2" nimmst Du 1". Wenn Du zuwenig NZ hast sind die Spitzen der Dreiecke nach dem Nähen weg, in Deinem Fall ist die Äußere Ecke des Blocks nicht mehr zu sehen. So sollte es eigentlich nicht sein, daß hatte ich gemeint. I love this block, it is so pretty and looks quite easy to make. I just have one question... what is your seam allowance? It looks wider than 1/4 inch. Is it 3/8 of an inch?
Yes, this patchwork block is really sewn very simply. My seam allowance is 1/4 inch, maybe the camera slightly distorts the dimensions.

When you are sewing the white snowball squares to the pink squares, it looks like you're sewing in the pencil lines but a caption comes up that says "Sew with a 1/4 inch seam allowance". That's confusing.
Yes, you're right. We sew these seams strictly along the lines. But the rest of the seam allowances should be 1/4 inch. Excuse me❤

When you are sewing the 1 1/2” blocks to the 3 1/2 inch blocks, the graphic on the screen says to sew at a 1/4 inch seam allowance. So my question is, do you sew on the line that you drew, or do you sew a quarter inch away from the line? Thanks!
Of course, here we sew along the line. And when we sew other parts, the allowance is 1/4 inch. I made a small mistake. The inscription should have been placed on other frames of the video.
