I played this game a TON as a kid with my brother and a few neighbours. We were all into either Naruto, Dragon Ball or both, the outlier to us was One Piece cause none of us knew about it ( we are from latin america and during the late 2000's the show didn't make waves here almost at all, despite Cartoon Network airing the latin spanish version of the 4Kids dub from time to time ) but we still thought it was cool lol
I have no idea how a few kids with barely any english skills, much less japanese, were able to unlock every character and stage but we did it lmao

I too forgot about this, even though I remember it. It always bothered me that it was a 4player game, but it was only 3 IP's. Pretty sure Bleach was already making waves then
But then they'd have to call it Battle Arena D.O.N.B.

Which fits perfectly with the whole shonen anime chessy bs of the power of friendship that all of those series have. Like, the name is so obvious and perfect that am shocked they didn't do it lol

don sounds stupider tbh.(the jump stars games are great as smash is tbh really overhyped for a party game as they're fun games on their own.)
do love the visuals of it(like the stages here and would love a new jump game with stages like it.),the intro(especially goku being a ramen shop owner,nami sending him/luffy/naruto flying with a cannonball & chopper just booking it from the craziness.)/ending and being the dreamix tv fighters style used again but the unlock method looks horrible and with jump ultimate stars happening at that time feels bare as it could've had more cutscenes(maybe as funny eyecatchers in matches.) and had more series(bleach definitely should've been in it as the title would've made more sense as b.o.n.d/better series than naruto.)

Absolute trash of a game
I had a lot of fun with Smash. If we had an anime fighter with its engine and ideas executed well, that'd be an amazing game. We only have lackluster efforts.
