I think we could easily argue that Point is a superstar. The dude has been consistently around 50 goals and 85-100 points the last couple years and we’ve seen him tear it up in the playoffs🤷♂️
Point is the same case as for rantanen, they plays with a superstar, so their stats look better, imagine if crosby or stuzle play with kucherov or mack...
@@Cacuna i guess you havent watch tamba playing. I would argue point is their most dynamic player, he maybe doesnt do kucherov point total but when you watch him you understand what im talking about.
I would agree with you that this is the year Jack Hughes is comfortably in superstar tier. Agreed. If actually watch Hawks games (and I do, sigh :P) you see that there’s a lot more to the story than what shows up on the score sheets. Dude makes plays. The point is that at 19 other generational talents (Ovechkin, Crosby, McDavid) were arguably the very best of their position which obviously he's not close to.
@jfkst1 - Well, just because he’s not as good at 19 as Ovi, Crosby, and McJeezus doesn’t make him a bust or NOT a generational talent. Who else would a team with an eye on a 5+ year rebuild want at Center right now?
Jack Hughes is right now best player in last 6 draft classes. Also there should be one tier above all where Connor McDavid goes. Others doesn't deserve to be on same tier with him. He is the best player right now and it's not even close. He's one of the greatest players ever.

I think you bump up Kopitar because he is still playing great defensively and his having one of, if not his best offensive season at 37. Kopitar is one of the most underrated franchise players in the league
