We need all the valuable picks we have ... yes I like Odunze but I say we stand pat and we could probably have Brian Thomas Jr sitting there at #17 when we pick without giving up any valuable picks.
I agree
We need a number 1 corner too
Nah receiver effects an entire offense a cornerback can only take one man at a time also a qb can throw a ball only where the reciever can make it
We got 1 he was hurt last year
Corner is honestly a bigger need imo
@@supamarioblackshear6875 he's a number 2 corner
@@HighlightLenny exactly. Especially with the way the afc south has loaded up
I agree with snagging some of the incredible WR talent in this draft. But I think the way they've got to build since they've had such weak drafts is to move back in a deep draft and pickup some high-end value in the 2nd and 3rd round even if they've got to leverage future picks. I'd be perfectly fine with Adonai Mitchell, Xavier Worthy, or Brian Thomas Jr. in the back end of rd 1 because Trevor does make his WRs better. Look at every one thats come in and the questions on them have disappeared (i.e. Engram isn't a drop machine). But picking up guys like TJ Tampa, Ennis Rakestraw, Braden Fiske, T'Vondre Sweat, Jonah Elliss, or Khyree Jackson in rd 2 (especially if you can get 2 or more) fills a lot of long-term holes on this roster.
Well said!
Brian Thomas Jr. will probably be gone by pick #17. Adonai Mitchell is a #2 WR. We need a #1. Worthy is so skinny a strong wind can blow him over. He’ll get broken in half when he hits the NFL.
Helps receiving core and run game
A lot of ways we can go. I love the idea of drafting one of the top 3 EDGE’s (Verse, Turner, Latu) and moving Travon to a 3 tech with his hand in the dirt. Easily one of the best D Lines in the NFL and could still grab guys like Rakestraw in round 2 and maybe get a receiver with a lots of potential in the later rounds like Pearsall, Jermaine Burton, or a 50/50 guy like Brendan Rice
Calvin is actually now with the Titans, he's no longer a Jaguar, if I'm not mistaken Gabe Davis is the one who took Calvin's spot. I also do agree we need Elite players, and I definitely would so love for that to be on the offensive line, cause let's be honest, Trevor Lawrence really needs a better OLine so he can get the better protection that he needs so he can get the execution in the plays that he needs to do. I also do hope that Doug Pederson does go through with taking back the play making responsibilities, cause if he does that I believe we will start seeing the smarter and better plays this upcoming season.
I think getting up to 4 for Marvin Harrison JR would be great but it’s gonna be tough but I’m all for trading up for Odunze that guys a monster.
MHJ would cost everything, just kind of unrealistic tbh
@@UCF_Jaguar yeah kinda what I’m thinking. Grant it I think it would be worth it depending on what it is but Odunze is more realistic
You just have to throw it near Odunze…..I want him for Trev
@@UCF_JaguarAdonai Mitchell is better than Rome
@ucf_jaguar @jaginoff when can we expect a video from both of you guys
Ridley was out there looking like he took the under on his catches some of them games
I think worthy is a very good pick that we can get close to 17, so we wouldn’t have to trade up that high if we didn’t want to “reach too far for a wr” or whatever
It's a deep draft. Take best player available, no matter the position!
Y’all say that every draft lol
that only makes sense in certain situation. You dont want to stay there with no wr or cb drafted only because you go for best player available. But if you have a situation like back in 2019 where a josh allen is still on the board you wont sipp pass him. Also you need to look which player fits your scheme. If you want to play man covarage you dont draft a zone corner or you dont add a slot receiver if you already have a christian kirk.
I would try to get te Brock great receiver and blocker
I think it would make sense to move up to get one of the wide receivers, but it also makes sense to stay where we are, take a corner and get a wide receiver in the second round. This year is a deep wide receiving class. Both moves make sense. I personally think we should move up to get a wide receiver due to the fact that we lost our best one. Stop taking tools away from Trevor Lawrence.
This isn't hard..trade up and grab Marvin Harrison Jr!and watch Trevor light up the NFL..
if we don't have an o-line he won't be able to throw a 5 yard Hitch. PROTECTION FIRST. our o line is suspect as hell
Doesn’t Marvin have injury issues
Marvins gonna be gone long before 17 and even if they move up, he’ll still be gone…
Hell yea that would be a great pick
@@wayman1776move up to number 3-4
Absolutely, we should trade up for a WR. Our WR room is below average right now. Baalke put all of our eggs in one basket on the Calvin Ridley deal and it bit him the butt. He had no backup plan. We desperately need that #1 "go-to" WR with size, speed, good hands and route running. There is 3 truly elite WR's in this draft (Harrison Jr., Odunze and Nabers) and one very, very good one (Thomas Jr.). All will probably be gone when we pick at #17. We gotta make a move to get one of those guys, because there is a big drop off to the next group of WR's.
That was not alot for Ridley lol
@@krazydudejayy4512I was not a fan of Ridley at all, but replacing Ridley with Gabe Davis is like replacing a pork chop with an off brand hotdog. Ridley wasn’t great, but he was decent.
@@jayshupp5971 didn't they say they didn't replace him for Davis but want to have both? Unfortunately the Titans overbid to steal him.
@@krazydudejayy4512That’s right. Gabe Davis was signed to replace Zay Jones as the #3 receiver. Baalke assumed Ridley would be back though, so now we basically have a #2 slot receiver (Kirk) and two #3 receivers (Davis and Jones.) We desperately need a #1.
@@jayshupp5971 desperately? No. Jags offense doesn't really require a Wr 1.
Yes! A draft video!!
I myself think the receiving room looks all right I don't think we should waste our first round pick on a wide receiver when we really need a cornerback. I myself think we should wait for the wide receiver in the second round see who's still available but myself I'm looking at second round maybe Xavier leggett. I think he would be a great boost to our wide receiver room looking at him he's like an AJ Brown
I agree! Rome Odunze is the 2nd coming of Mike Evan’s 2.0 I believe. He is definitely worth it
Welcome to Duval Brian Thomas Jr.
I want worthy that speed would show nuff give Trevor Lawrence someone to toss up too DEEP.
@@JaguarFanSinceDa90s I love speed too, but Worthy is too small. Zay Floeetd and Tank Dell are similar (not as fast), but similar frame and they got injected.
BTJ or RO would be better fits.
I hope you’re right, but BTJ will probably be gone by pick #17. There’s no other true #1 WR’s after the first 4 (Harrison, Odunze, Nabers and BTJ.)
@jayshupp5971 I'm going to be honest this wr class is as deep as the first 3 rounds. Especially late 2nd early 3rd round. We can most def get us one in one of those spots. I'm more for the oline and dbs.
@@jayshupp5971 I think BTJ will be there at 17. Most mocks I’ve seen had him slipping down to the Rams or Steelers, while we take a EDGE or CB. (The occasional Byron Murphy pick).
Most mocks I’ve seen have gone something like this:
1. Chicago: Caleb Williams, QB
2. Redskins: Jaydon Daniels, QB
3. Patriots: Drake Maye, QB
4 Cards: Marvin Harrison Jr, WR
5. Minnesota: via LAC: JJ McCarthy, QB
6. Giants: Joe Alt, OT
7. Tits: Olu Fashanu, OT
8. Falcons: Dallas Turner, Edge
9. Chicago: Malik Nabers, WR
10: NYj: Brock Bowers, TE
11. LAC: Rome Odunze WR
12 Broncos: Bo Nix, QB
13. Raiders: Terrion Arnold, CB
14. Saints: Laiatu Latu: Edge
15. Colts: Quinnyon Mitchell, CB
16. Jared Verse. EDGE, THE FSU.
17. Jaguars: Brian Thomas Jr. WR
18. Bengals: Amarius Mims, OT
19: Rams: Byron Murphy, IDL.
Steelers: Jackson Powers-Johnson (this pick would allow Najee space inside and keep pressure out of Russ’ face.)
If we trade up for Rome Odunze, it's gonna be Doomsday for the rest of the AFC South.
I’m all in on Rome Odunze!
DRAFT OLINE, DRAFT OLINE, DRAFT OLINE , protecting T Law is literally the most important thing for our future
Basically we are what we were two years ago….Gabe Davis is better than Marvin Jones. I liked C Rid but he dropped so many TDs that pissed me off….he catches those we make the playoffs
Gabe might actually turn out to be better than Ridley after the amount of time Gabe spent having Josh Allen throw to him? Catching from Trevor shouldn’t be a problem provided that he doesn’t overthrow him?
And 2 years ago we won they won the south and a playoff game.
Imo I feel like in a pass happy league we need corners , we’re in a spot we’re our best db is Tyson going into a contract year and the rest are just a bunch of role players . We need DB help bad . I’d we can get good wr in the 2nd
We can't trade our third round pick it's a compensatory pick can't be traded so do you think they'll take our two fourth rounders to move up because I'm not giving up a second rounder to move up that many numbers we need our pics we got some big contracts coming up
I think Rome is going to be the best receiver out the draft. Marvin going to be the most popular and worthy going to be the most explosive.
Adonai Mitchell is much better than Rome
@123shoshan college wise. I feel like on a nfl team Rome will have a mike Evans type career
Thomas
Y’all ready for Jags to finish 3rd or 4th in the division? 👍🏼
Give me Terrion Arnold, Ricky Pearsall, and either DeWayne Carter or Christian Mahogany.
In 2022 we made playoffs without Ridley and I believe Gabe Davis will be great
I say trade cam if you can find a suitor. That cap hit is ridiculous. The draft is deep at cb and wr. Take a tackle to replace him, get another 3rd round for cam and hit on the draft.
It's crazy, I can't believe we haven't addressed that
It wouldn't have been good to pay Ridley that much and give Atlanta our second round pick. Now we just own them the fifth rounder
I mean... Rome Odunze does has great hands, great ball tracking, great body control and great ball catching skills. He is for 100% sure a SOLID 2nd string receiver..... but he doesn't seem to have the speed, route running, and just overall separation abilities to be a true #1 receiver. I wouldn't want to take him in round 1. He would be really nice as a round 2 or 3 pick. However, if he can't get that separation in college football, then he's going to struggle even more in the NFL where only the most elite of former college players are.
Gabe is great, Ridley was missing EVERY time it mattered, the receiving corps is big and physical and TE is a stud receiver. MH jr is great id rather sign Tee Higgins and draft all O line and a few safety prospects, mind you Mac will be used as trade bait at trade deadline and well get something for Mac later which has always been the plan with Mac.
Need o line. Jaguars have no backups that are good enough to keep trevor up. Sherrif will be hurt again thats a given. Get a tackle or jackson powers johnson. Two tackles are off the books after this year.
The problem is the titans got MUCH better the texans got MUCH better and the colts are just better. We are looking at quite a diffcult road to even try to win our division.
If the Texans didn't get hunter their FA would've been terrible, a lot like us last year. They didn't do that well. Titans got better but they were already ass so not worried.
If we don’t get a #1 WR, I believe we finish no better than 3rd in the division.
Still think go cb if 1 of the top 2 drop to us.. then trade up a little to get the 4th 5th wr
Think we trade down amass a lot of picks. Kool-Aid McKinstry is dropping on a lot of boards and think we will get him while maybe grabbing an extra day 2 pick.
Hopefully get Keon Coleman. It is shocking that during the combine he gets out of his cuts during route drills than anyone there. That is getting open and FSU did a disservice for that man with making him just do go routes.
Ya, no. Big body. Lots of talent for an upgrade on the offensive line. Let's keep pounding the rock.
Pick up a WR in round 2-4.
We don’t need to give up shit, we should stay put and get dejean or Arnold in the first and get Xavier worthy or Xavier legette in the second
Worthy won't make it to the second rd nor will the Chiefs let him aka Cheetah 2.0.
My man 👌🏻
I don’t think we should get a 150 pound receiver….
@@JaguarFanSinceDa90sChiefs will let Worthy slip if Keon Coleman is available I’m js 😂 either way he won’t make 49
I say trade Cam,Zay and a couple late round picks for better draft capital an free up some cap space...bring back Calais Campbell and Yannick from free agency and draft offensive line an wr and cb in tha draft early...
I like your thinking considering those guys would want to come back?
@wayman1776 With those two on the rotation would make us sick up front. Our LB'S are nice an the secondary is getting upgraded as well in fre agency an the draft. An hell why not reach out to Allen Robinson at wr depth.
Wouldn't mind Xavier worthy or keon coleman
I think we can get Thomas Jr at 17 , but we have to pass block and rush block better. So maybe address the oline in the first round and get a wr in the second. Both wr from texas will be a great pick in the second round
Our oline is set rn. Makes no sense to waste a first rounder on oline if he isn't gonna start right away.
Hurry up and get tee Higgins and all of the nfl will be in big trouble
Tee is franchised so he’s not going anywhere
@@wayman1776ummmm not exactly how that works all the time
remember how george pickens fell to the 2nd round. maybe we somebody could fall to the 2nd and we could trade up from the 2nd
Josh Allen for the Cards 2 1sts, then trade 4 to the Vikings for their 2 1sts. That's 5 firsts for, Joe Alt, Rome Odunze, Dallas Turner, Jared Verse and Jacksonville Powers Johnson. Premium talent at cornerstone positions for Trevors 10 year team.
If that would happen it would be a Blockbuster move and jump us up to SuperBowl contenders.
But I would definitely draft QM at CB and be set.
Again. Lotta capital for unproven guys. Baalke would finally get fired if he did this.
Will never happen. A team won’t trade a top 5 pick for an edge rusher who still needs to be paid, let alone 2 firsts
You wouldn't pay for Micah Parson's or Nick Bosa? Get outta here. Josh Allen had 17 1/2 sacks and should've been all pro.The Cards get a proven OLB and then drafts WR in the 2nd.@@lucagomezmoretto9997
I'd pass on trading up only because we lost a 3rd because of the C.Ridley deal. I say just stay put and draft the best player available
Trade up and get Harrison or Nabers… I’m willing to trade this year 2nd and next year… we’ve been missing on our 2nd round picks anyways lol. That’s why Trent was about to trade our 17 pick for Brandon Aiyuk.
Anyone thinking our reciever room is good is high. We have to get younger talent at the position. 2 of our top 3 recievers are coming off injury. If one of the better recievers are there at 17, take em! Do not trade for Aiyuk!
I would like to move down and get Adonai Mitchel and get a extra draft pick.
I agree with this we need a Superstar WR. It’s laughable if we think that the trio we have now is going to be good enough to compete with the heavyweights in our conference
Dude ya'll be weird fr
@@krazydudejayy4512How ?
@jamesgraham4476 ya'll what if scenarios with the jags wrs. Haven't they proven to actually get it down without a top superstar receiver? 2022 season didn't haveca superstar receiver. Jags just need top get the defense situated more than the offense rn. Look at the steelers and Chiefs who made the playoffs without a good offense. Doug scheme is a balanced one where everyone gets the ball. They love kirk and Evan alot
@@krazydudejayy4512I think what they have can work but we also won a weak division 2 yrs ago. We can’t afford to pay 3 WRs 10Mil+ a year for a long period of time. If this is Kirk’s last year who’s the replacement ??? This is an offensive league I believe a true #1 WR makes the team better than a CB
I want brock Bowers to go with evan two te no lb or safety will be able to guard them.❤
Bruh, Gabbert's a two time Superbowl winning quarterback, put some respect on his name.
Draft terrion Arnold at 17 and if he’s available in the 2nd trade up and get Keon Coleman!!
Let’s go🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
I'd trade up and try and get the best wr they can
Nate wiggins in the first
Trade up for adonai mitchell late-first early - second
Thought wiggins wasnt a scheme fit
@@shauncanfield2568 arnold from alabama is a better scheme fit. i just feel like wiggins is more athletic and has a higher ceiling but wiggins and him can play man so i wouldnt be mad at either because we will be runnin more man this year
I feel what your saying about Ridley but that man still had a thousand yard season. I guess you wanted 2 thousand yards lol. Bottom line Jags was 8-5 and dropped the ball in a “team” effort. At least Ridley stayed healthy unlike most our players on offense. I don’t think we need a big name WR. We just need the right WR that will make a big name for himself. Until we find him involve ETN in the passing game. Run 5 wide with ETN in the slot and watch what he does to a linebacker. Sometimes you have to maximize what you already have… cough cough…Press Taylor.
We need Brian Thomas Jr
He doesn’t fit the scheme
@HighlightLenny how, the guy is talented and can do whatever
Cooper Dejean, and Xavier worthy is my dream scenario but I don’t see worthy falling to our second pick
Xavier Worthy is so skinny, a strong wind would blow him over. He'd get broken in half in the NFL.
This draft is pretty deep. It would be better to get Jared Verse or Chop Robinson and get Xavier Leggette in the 2nd round
Thank you!!! 3 first round d lineman and Armstead is automatically one of the best D Lines in the NFL. Deep WR/CB class. Only thing I would say is the top 3 EDGE’s are Verse, Turner, and Latu. Chop is a slight drop off but I’d take any of the top 3/4 edges
Maybe for a receiver but odunze doesn't separate, doesn't run good routes, doesn't burn with his speed and relied heavily on mossing smaller DBs and lesser talent anyone but Rome if he falls then yes but not trading up for him
Rome biggest strength is his route running so he is a good route runner better prospect then Nabers in my opinion
@@stewies5522 nabers is so much more athletic that's why he's a better prospect
Did you ever really watch Odunze? He is a very good route runner who averaged 17.8 YPC last season. That is 8th highest in the entire NCAA for receivers with over 50 catches. How can you say he doesn't separate? I saw him play 4 times last season and he was amazing! There is very little separating him and Marvin Harrison Jr. as the top WR in this class.
@@jayshupp5971 he literally doesn't separate he head tops every DB but doesn't separate it's cornering I'm not saying he isn't good just not good enough to trade up for
Rome is the reason people think Penix is a decent QB. He's routinely dominated all competition. Doesn't really matter what you think of that competition, he wins.
Quinyon Mitchell plays in the MAC, yet he's projected to be the first CB off the board and beat DB in this class. Quality of competition in college never really translates to the NFL.
So let me just understand our fan base. We hate baalke and have no trust in him putting a team together but we want him to risk our future to draft a WR which he is notoriously bad at?
Honestly I’d rather us trade up just outside the top 10 and grab Brock Bowers. I know we have Engram and yes he’s the clear starter. But when Doug was at Philly he used a lot of 2 TE sets. Plus Bowers is one of the best TE’s and can even line up at WR. No one would have an answer for him or Engram. It would be like the time NE had Gronk and Hernandez out at the same time for a few years when they played together no one could stop them or have the matchups for them.
We don’t even need to trade up and waste picks because we can get Keon Coleman at 17 and I promise you he is just as good if not better than Marvin Harrison jr because Keon being a duel sport athlete is more physically gifted than Harrison.
Jags always do this they never wanna pay their players when it’s time to pay up they draft a rookie and keep them on rookie contract when it’s time to up they let the guy walk see how they franchise tag Allen ???? They never go get big game players big names … Tennessee got Ridley and Hopkins and he still can go Baltimore got everybody so does Philly and Miami … they past on Mchommes in draft the jags gone always be what they are which is nothing … might give you a playoff birth every 8 yrs then flop the next yr that’s just who they are …. Break the bank 🏦 go get players giving 2/3rd option players 50million smgdh …. Jags are a nobody team it’s gone always be like that ….
I have no hope to win the division whatsoever
I have a feeling we are gonna trade Allen at the draft which is ok just get something good in return for him
They do that and it’s a losing season for sure? Allen must stay it’s about the only good player on the team they have that’s worthy enough to stick around.
No don’t trade up this Wide Receiver Class is DEEP.
I wouldn’t even take a wide receiver in the first round that’s lunacy. There’s so many wide receivers in this draft class they need a corner first and foremost..
@@wayman1776This corner class is so deep, we can easily find a starter all the way into the 3rd round. There is only 4 #1 type WR’s in this draft class, (Harrison, Odunze, Nabers and Thomas.) We desperately need to get Trevor a big, fast, WR with good hands who can run decent routes.
Please trade up and grab OT Joe Alt 🙏
i’m pretty sure malik nabers could just fall to us a pick 17 edit: nvm meant brian thomas
