Imagine being paid a ridiculous amount of money to come out every year to promote an annual event where people can watch you be wrong year after year yet still be seen as the industry authority on that event. This dude has one of the best positions in media.

@@cain6981 just my opinion but i'd say he's always been irrelevant. just a hype man for himself and his overblown ego. no idea why the nfl and companies like espn think he has value. maybe it's just all the negative press he creates. controversy is good for ratings but i have zero interest in what he has to say. i've been seeing him popping up on tons of espn vids lately so decided to check this one out to see why. same old schtick. no thanks.

Kiper has a better track record and resume than most, he is my go-to for all draft information.

Mel Kiper Jr. is a performance artist, who can "talk football". His track record of evaluations are no greater than a Coin-Flip.

@JohnAC4 those "other" qbs have multiple superbowl wins and appearances to help people forget their mistakes, Allen has a qbr under 70 in the playoffs. Face it Allen is this generations Farve incredible arm talent but breaks his fans' hearts when it matters most.

Penix has made lots of plays with his legs at Wash. in spite of the injuries he had at Indiana. He's got better legs and durability than most of the current NFL starters.

Mel does not evaluate FB talent. He listens to his pro contacts and reads the internet.

I don't c why all the down playing of Penix when he beat Caleb and beat Nix twice. He didn't play well in the title game but he did carry his team there

If you're drafting Williams on what he did in 2022, what happened to this being a 'what have you done for me lately' league? Mel even admits Caleb was "BAD" (his word) from ND on in 2023. This just don't make no sense.

For me it's the Diva Quotient. Caleb is a very good QB, but has it gone to his head?, Did he really want a share of ownership? Probably not, but there is a number of issues. He is from the District.

Drake Maye doesn't need to sit out all year. He can get up to speed at his own pace. Maye might be ready after the first month or so into the season. If it's WSH they can extend the developmental process until their OL and scheme is in place and the rookie is comfortable.

I don't know if JJ will be good, but because they ran all the time, when he did throw it surprised the defense, Compare that to Caleb, who's team couldn't run, who threw into a defense set up to defend the pass. And he didn't even have great weapons. I am curious about JJ.
